The staff came over and was chatting with us, even exchanging drinks with us. They really respected their elders . Wednesdays are free crabs and discounted hookahs. The staff said it's their favorite night. Perhaps more chill than a Saturday. There is a liquor store in this shopping center which made this a very quick stop before going to the lounge. That used to be our lil hangout. So my review of the 'new and improved' MK may be a little slighted. Okay one, the location of the lounge is pretty nice, off in the cut of Woodlawn and in the corner of a Shopping center. When MK is opened, the only traffic in that shopping center is for Pejus, MK, and maybe a few eateries. There is a HUGE parking lot so parking is never a issue. The line gets long at times, especially since MK is not that big. Bring your ID, they will ask and frisk. The admit price is a little high (compared to what it was a yr ago). Once you get in, there are couches against the walls, tables, and little stools/ chairs closest to the walkway. The music is hiphop/rap exclusively on the Fri/Sat/Holiday nights and really loud. Hookah: The hookahs are large and you can ask for extra hoses (depending on the size of your group plus a extra charge) They don't mind putting ice in the bowl if you ask. The flavors are star buzz and Al Fahkar - both give a full smoke and nice flavor. (I personally recommend Star-buzz - it seems to last a little longer). MY ONLY ISSUE with the Shisha is that some of the back staff don't pack the top bowl where the shisha doesn't get stuck to the foil which will give you a burnt taste after a few pulls. So if you are a hookah smoker - there may need to be a few adjustments during your visit. Drinks: BYOB!!!! I dont really like the {new} system. They check your bottle at the door, put a tag on it basically connecting it to your party, and they take the drink to the 'bar'. Every time you want a drink, you have to go ::let them pour YOUR drink FOR YOU::. Please be reminded, in the state of MD, you cant 'serve' alcohol after 2. Sooooo MAKE SURE YOUR BOTTLE IS GONE BEFORE TWO! After warnings, they will trash it, and NO you can not bring it out...Ultimately its a nice spot to hang on a weekend where you dont feel like going downtown, Pejus or the Windsor. ***NOTE: You CAN go to Pejus and order a hookah in there from MK (Dont let them tell you - you can't, I've done it.)

I asked her what did the $200 cover and to my shock she was confused. She had to get someone else who told who had me pull up my online confirmation and the same bottle of large ciroc I gotr was instantly covered....before it was $300. So book online first to save some coins.We also got hookah which was $46 .....very expensive and just ok but if your splitting between 4 ppl then why not? The crowd was young and fun, the music was current hip hop, not alot of club music (thank God) Oh and if you want a seat after 12 book a table or stand up. Overall I enjoyed my night and left wobbling (it was like 4 ppl to a bottle of large ciroc plus infused cupcakes). I didnt like that the lounge is mostly table service and not much room to interactive with other people.

We were let in and led to our section no problem. Long story short my homegirl paid beforehand as you must do to book the table, yet the owners/managers could not find their receipt. My friend had everything including payment used and receipt for her purchase. Our bottles still didn't come out until the club was about ready to close. Meek Mill's intro song was playing by the time our bottles came out....& y'all know that's the que to leave within 20 minutes or so. The host and hostesses were bomb and security was bomb. Management needs help. We still had a ball as we are some classy chicks and overcome adversity with a smile. But we may pass on select next time we wanna spend that check up!

This is a nice place but the old Arabian man that runs the place is not very nice towards the black people, i have been there 3 times, first time there was a group of black dudes with girls and they have about 5 hookahs at there table, ordered lot of food also from him but when they call him to change their coal he be reluctant and when ever he comes by our table, he says i don't want those people over there in here, they are loud and they kept playing hip-hop music only. Second time i went there, his door bell rang, he went and peeped through the window he came back in and i asked him why he didn't open the door, he said is some black guys they look like drunk, why he kept mentioning black black.... Third time, i was with my indian friends, some black guys and girls again where smoking and the girls dancing, he kept saying to us, that's why i don't like letting them in. He felt comfortable saying stuff like that to us i think because he saw we are all white complexion. I don't like that kind of stuff, I am jewish American and I have lot of black friends from America and Africa i work with at the hospital. I know how offended one feels when you stereotype their race. I am not going there anymore and my friends also made the same decision. We go to a spot on Broadway and Fleet called Horus Cafe. I've been to this spot last year with my friends from FLORIDA visiting Maryland, the owner had the door locked, it was raining and it took him 15mins to come open the door for us, then he still had us under the rain getting wet. when he came to the door, he was RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to us. when we got in, we placed and order for hookah, the hose for the hookah we realized was been used by someone else before us, we asked him to change it, he refused and said its new, also there is this bad smell in there that i don't know what it was but is horrible. the restroom floor is falling downtown into the basement and i couldn't use the restroom when i saw that because am a big girl and i was scared i may fall into it. the rest room is small as crazy, i found him cooking in the room before getting into the restroom and the restroom door was opened and looks nasty in there. his service is bad, so bad. He over charged us and when we asked him, he said maryland increased tax on tobacco products thats why he is charging more. read more

This place is dirty, the rest room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in over weeks. He doesn't have enough ventilation or for smoke to go out of the lounge, when he cooks in the kitchen, smoke comes into the lounge and your hair and clothes smell like food. his kitchen is dirty as h*ll, the sink was full of stagnant dirty oily water, and it stinks and i found him with his bare hands making my food, I couldn't tell him but when the food came, i didn't eat, i took it with me and dump it in the trash. Also I think he's a pervert, I was there with my female cousin and my boyfriend, he kept coming back to us trying to talk to my cousin who just turned 22 and he said he 40yrs old, he look like 60yrs old...lmal...hahahaha. Seriously whenever i go there, I see how he always flirt with young girls. He kept telling us, lot of girls like him there but he want only spanish or white girls...hahahhaa. most disgusting lounge i have ever been to, the owner sleeps in the lounge and there is a moldy smell in there, there is no windows or air exit at all, he cooks in there and when we went in, we only stayed for like 2hrs and my nephew who wosn't smoking gets dizzy because of the smoke from the kitchen and the steam from the cooking oil he was using, smells all over the place and our clothes. where we sat, we saw rat twice and we told him, he said there's no rat in there, we saw the rat ourselves twice, he denied it completely and thats what made us to leave. i will never go there and i don't encourage anyone else to waste your time there. he talks to us any how he wants and my nephew almost had a fight with him. read more

The owner is super nice and personable! Make sure you knock hard and call the number if you want to get it! Went Sunday night with a friend, the food was great( I had the omelette and he had honey on the side and my friend had chicken with fries) and they had best hookah! The owner went to get ice and provided cups and candies. I would most definitely refer ppl here but then again it's a hidden gem! You will love it there and he also plays any music of your choice! This is the best place ever!!!! Whoever Lauren G. Is must be a fake competitor. This place feels extra safe because of the door being locked. You can tell the owner loves his business and does everything he can to make his clients enjoy the stay. If you ask the owner why he locks the door it has nothing to do with race. went to this place memorial day weekend. went here after the bar, and they were still open til 4. nice place. friendly staff. we got to sit in the back outdoor seating area which was nice and quiet. This lounge is the best on town. The atmosphere is on point with great music, and Rey allows you to control it via bluetooth, aux cable or laptop. The bathrooms are clean and the clientele is mostly for an adult crowd. The food is very good. I highly recommend the fried wings and fries. Some of the best in town. You will not be disappointed. This is one of the best places to stop by in Baltimore. The experience I had here was amazing. The owners and the workers are literally the best. The hospitality is like no other.
