Kelly was incredibly helpful and kind to me answering many of my questions and giving me excellent advice. They had a great selection and were able to keep my hands warm in the -10° temperatures. We walked in inquiring and intending to buy ski boots and were greeted with judgement and something else that resembled hostility towards our ski experience and boot budget. The older sales associate was quite rude when we asked for boots that would fit our preference and was insulted when we asked how much it was. I don't think he remembers that there are quite a few other ski shops in the area. We left and felt more comfortable and welcome at another shop. read more

I skied in a pair of boots I had not used the previous season and after day 3 realized my shell had cracked and my foot was bleeding and I was in a tremendous amount of pain. Went in to look at boots at this shop and a boot tech helped me into a new pair of Nordica Speed Machine 130's. He spent at least an hour fitting me that day and probably a total of another hour over the course of the next week or two tweaking them to fit me just perfectly. Super knowlegeable staff and the customer service is outstanding. This season I'm getting their 10 package tune up special. Looking forward to skiing on freshly tuned boards every other week. 5 star review for sure!!!!! read more

Awesome shop. We (4 adults & 2 kids) all rented our skis from them for a week in Killington. Online booking is very simple (no credit card info needed), and the staff is very helpful and efficient in getting you what you need, and the price is much better than renting at Killington resort. During the week, 2 of us had some issues with our boots and came back to replace them on different days. Both of us were in and out with a new pair of boots within a few minutes. My husband really liked the skis he rented (performance grade) and made skiing in various conditions due to changing weather very enjoyable. Everyone there is super friendly (maybe except for one young gentleman). And the waxing machine is amazing. This is definitely our place for skiing in Killington. read more

The Killington access road is flooded with ski shops.... literally flooded. Shop hopping becomes very mundane and everything starts to blend into one... This shop definately stands out simply because of its people. The guys who work here really know their stuff and are more than willing to explain things to the minor detail... with that said ! This shop does not have a great selection of clothing or skiis... Their focus is on the lifetime guarantee of all of the boots they sell... and the service they render to fix/amend your ski performance. So! Come here for the boots - which they will tailor to your foot- even if that means chipping and grinding away at the boot itself - and guaranteeing it for life. And ...come here for the service department- they will fix / tailor every nook of your ski performance that you find troublesome. read more

So we came to peak performance on a ski trip to Killington because someone had one of their bags left back in NJ. So they needed some pants and a Jacket only, thank god. When shopping around we came to peak performance second. My friend who we were shopping for is a small dude. He can fit in an XL kid's cloths. So we told the sales person helping us that if they had some kids stuff we could try that too, he responded to another guy who we were with, who drove us, to the shop that he might but at least he's not as fat as this guy because he wouldn't have anything to fit him. The three of us were appalled, like the guy is a big guy, but it's straight up disrespectful to say that. I don't care if he was joking or not, it's not funny. I gave my friend a hug, talk to the guy who was looking to buy stuff and we decided that we wouldn't be giving this place any of our money. Hit up the place with the clock tower and they gave us a better deal and had some respect. read more

Good small shop with knowledgeable staff who are passionate about skiing. They have a somewhat limited selection but they know the products they offer. Fair warning; check the prices at other shops on the access road before purchasing. Most shops on the access road price their equipment fairly, but Peak Performance can be substantially more expensive. I did ask them about this and their response was "We sell at the manufacturer's minimum allowed sale price; all the other shops are breaking the manufacturer minimum sale price". One or two breaking manufacture policy I could believe, but all including large very public retailers? Maybe Peak Performance thinks everyone who skis is made of money and doesn't care. read more

They carry a smaller selection of clothing and accessories, but they focus on performance. The staff is absolutely amazing. I ordered a pair of Head slalom skis from Peak Performance, and I couldn't be happier! They called me the day after I ordered the skis to confirm the binding settings I required and notified me that the edges on the skis did not come tuned, something that I was unaware of. Wish I had drove up last summer to Peak Performance, Killington, VT from DC to get my ski boots and equipment. Dave and Andrew are EXPERTS at fitting boots and my feet are not easy. Instead i bought them locally and it didn't work out well. I lost a day of skiing. Thanks to their help, I was able to ski again. These guys are so generous with their time and attention. TERRIBLE!!! I waited and waited for service...but the ski rental personal (at least 5 of them) were to busy talking to their friends rather then serving customers. The rental staff totally ignored our group...I guess they may have wanted to leave work early. I have been introducing people to skiing for years and have used many rentals establishments, this was the worst experience that I ever had. I've never rented from them but Bootfitting and tuning are two services in particular that I've benefitted from. They also have excellent gear and the staff is more than happy to spend time with you talking about what is the best option for you. We had a great experience renting skis at Peak Performance. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the process for check in and return is fast. They gave us Solomon boots and Fisher skis that seemed new for the season and were comfortable and worked well. I was looking for a used pair of skis to use for teaching at my local hill. I found a pair of the skis I wanted at Peak Performance via an online search. The skis appeared to be in excellent shape and they were priced to sell. I had never dealt with Peak Performance previously but after buying these skis from them I would go see these guys again in a heartbeat. I emailed back and forth with Mary a few times asking her questions about the skis and she was prompt, very professional and so nice. Mary took down all my specs and had the shop adjust the bindings to my specs. They also shipped them to me for free. The skis were in excellent shape, freshly tuned up and ready to go. I love, love, love these skis. They are exactly what I wanted when I'm teaching and when I get to free ski I wouldn't want any other ski attached to my feet. I love these skis and wouldn't have wanted to have bought them from anyone else. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to seek these guys out for any of my future ski needs.
