I came to see Stephanie after I had met my wit's end. A year and a half earlier, I had fainted off…read morea stationary bike at the gym from abdominal pain. After several ER visits, multiple followups with my OBGYN, and even ovarian cyst surgery, I found out I had very bad endometriosis. I was suddenly faced with having a hysterectomy at age 32. I knew there must be another solution to organ removal, so I did some research and found that some women have had success reducing or reversing their symptoms with a change of diet. I wasn't about to leave any stone unturned, so I reached out to Stephanie for some help. I've had many "aha" moments with Stephanie, but the most important was a new lens through which to look at my diagnosis: she presented the idea that endometriosis is more closely related to an autoimmune disorder because of how the body reacts to the displaced endometrial cells, so if we treat it as such we can get somewhere. With that direction, we holistically looked at the other issues plaguing me and drew parallels that my body has an issue with its inflammatory response. So, Stephanie set forth a plan for an anti-inflammatory diet, healing my gut and detoxing my liver to help my body heal itself--all through nutrition. Along the way I learned how to build balanced meals, how to choose foods that will support my immune system, and how to structure my day so that I get the maximum amount of nutrition and energy. When I first came to Stephanie, I had been bleeding for over 120 days straight. Only one month into finding the right medication, committing to Stephane's guidance, and sticking to an exercise regimen, I stopped bleeding. By the end of my three months of sessions with her, not only were my endometriosis symptoms reduced to the point where they were almost unrecognizable, but I had lost weight, slept better, had more energy and stamina, and my other medical issues had subsided. It might sound hyperbolic but please know this isn't an understatement: Stephanie saved my life. Not only did she save me from unnecessary surgery and pain, but she helped teach me how to live and thrive through nutrition. Thank you, Stephanie!

I will never forget the horrendous experience I had with such a foul excuse of a human being. Not…read moreonly was it a waste of nearly $3k, but it left me with even more trauma and mistrust in any health "professional" I could fathom. Everything about her behavior screamed cocaine abuse, narcissism and the need to assert dominance, and with as unprepossessing of an appearance she's starting with, none of those things are individually or collectively a good look to have to witness, let alone pay for. The grotesque unprofessionalism (mixing up appointments, no-shows, wrong information, etc.), the aggressive interrupting during every conversation, the dead-naming and misgendering, the blatant lack of boundaries and cosplaying of mental health qualifications by asking off-the-wall questions about my mental state (knowing I'm a licensed therapist and she is NOT), but the worst was having armed police and social workers arriving at my home within 30 minutes of ending the call during which I terminated Jess. In retaliation to her embarrassing behavior, she sent police to my home under a falsified "wellness check", hoping they would do to me what was done to Elijiah McClain 45-minutes away from my location. To see her now pretending to be an unqualified grief counselor in addition to a nutritionist is downright terrifying, knowing that it's her motive to harm more people as much as she can while getting paid for it. NEVER give her your personal address or any details of your personal life, she will absolutely use it against you for her own entertainment and amusement.

Her balance of structure, communication, and energy made each process as stress-free as possible and with material personal attention and progress throughout. When I refer to stress-free, I'm talking for both my sons and my wife and me! Nita is caring and skilled, and she brought out the best in both of our kids. Her encouragement in the writing process for the many essays at many schools led to more creative and insightful narratives. She's a chameleon for different types of students. Our oldest had more of a sense of where he wanted to go and what he wanted to study but wasn't naturally self-driven to get the work done. So for him, Nita masterfully broke down the assignments to make them achievable, and he never complained about having work to do (still trying to figure out this particular magic myself!). He's now a rising Senior at the University of Washington and love it. Our other son is more self-driven to get work done but had very little sense for what he wanted in a school. Nita supported his research on so many different academic, social, and other fronts to first illuminate questions he should ask on college visits and then narrow down his list based on the information he acquired. Now, he's about to enter his Freshman year at Dartmouth College and is so excited! Throughout the process, Nita was supportive and encouraging yet firm. Outside of my wife and me, she was our boys' biggest cheerleader, celebrating all of their successes as enthusiastically as we did. I highly recommend Nita for anyone who is looking for a truly gifted college counselor.
