Peak 1 Express: I'd use again! I was under the impression the ride was 2-ish hours from the airport to Breckenridge, and I was wrong (which may have been my misunderstanding). The ride is supposed to be *around* 3 hours. We stopped for some folks to transfer, a bathroom stop, then to Silverthorne, then to Breckenridge (which there were 4 different stops for the riders). The ride from the airport to our destination felt much, much longer than my return shuttle. I wish there was a better way to drop folks off on all the small towns on the way (especially when the rentals and cabins are far off the main roads). My first shuttle was half full and it was fairly comfortable for breathing room in between us. I could imagine it being a lot less comfortable if it were a full shuttle (and being on a full shuttle after, I realize how lucky I am to be on a half full shuttle to start). It was on time to pick us up, but we didn't get to leave until closer to 25 mins later due to someone's flight being delayed (also not their fault, drivers arrange with a walkie-talkie system on them fly to talk to the main office to get it sorted). We unfortunately got stuck in about an hour of traffic (to no fault of anyone) and it was high spirits and good tunes. Our driver (Mike?) was so great! He was wonderful to talk to and had lots of stories! My return shuttle was larger and completely full. A little confusing on where to stand in the skier drop lot for Breckenridge, but the driver called me and I was just out of site for him. Drive was great and no traffic this time! My tip is to leave plenty of time from the airport and shuttle, manage your expectations. I could also see a different experience with different drivers/bad weather. From my experience, they do everything in their power to get you where you need to go! I'd use them again. read more

Unacceptable level of lack of communication on the morning of our shuttle. We waited outside in the cold for over an hour and kept having to call dispatch for updates. When the driver finally arrived we saw we were only the second passenger and the first pick up was also picked up an hour late. This was a 6am shuttle. The only possible reason is that the driver decided to start his drive an hour late and didn't communicate this to the passengers at all. There was no apology or acknowledgment of delay. On top of all of that the heat in the van must have been broken or off because we were shivering in full winter gear for the entire 2 hour drive. read more

Oh my god. Talk about an experience. First of all, delayed shuttle an hour because they didn't have a driver? Isn't that the whole business is to have drivers? And then he was 15 mins late. Then super lagged. God bless him though for getting to our destinations within 2 hours. I feel bad cos he's a little older and maybe has to work? Takes advantage of travelers already in distress from delayed/ cancelled flights by not giving refund. I'd booked a trip for a friend on June 2 who had already been diverted and delayed on planes for two days. She didn't get to Denver till after the 3:30 shuttle. First problem is that is their latest shuttle. Second problem is after all of her frustrations and delays they couldn't refund her $59 because I'd made the reservation that day and she needed a later one due to delayed flights and had to cancel it. She was extremely frustrated dealing with them as they were no help at all at the time. Consequently she had to rent a car and drive to Summit. Extremely disappointed in this company and would never recommend d them for their lack of community and locals support. They may have kept their $59 but they lost a lot more in future business from many here. read more

They were 10 minutes late at the pickup spot at Denver Airport. No bench's and poorly marked pick up point (but that is DIA's problem)An advertised 2:30 departure did not Depart until 3:00 pm. The van was ok the drive was slow, but traffic couldn't be avoided. The real problem is the drivers are slow in getting organized, making transfers in Frisco, and then I was to be dropped off at Breckenridge Station, but someone who had door to door service took us 30 minutes out of our way. Total trip time was nearly 4 hours. We were 45 minutes late in arriving at our destination. Just not a good operation. Then after taking a 30 minute side trip to drop a passenger they literally devolve by my home but wanted to charge me an extra 10 dollars to stop and drop me off. I had no luggage and literally would have taken 30 seconds... but apparently when you reserve to drop you off at a transfer station they consider that a discounted rate ( doesn't say that in the website any where) and you are out of luck. Bottom line I can't believe they inconvenienced the 4 other passengers by a 30 minute detour, then had the nerve to ask me for $10. When their out of the way drop off literally took me by my home! I have used the other mountain transit companies several times over the past few years ( usually at least twice a year), and never had this issue. I booked a ride from Denver Airport to Vail after arriving on a long international flight. What I expected to be a two-hour drive turned into a 5-hour endeavor. First, the departure was delayed from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. When the bus finally arrived, all 12 seats were occupied, making this a very uncomfortable ride. Halfway, the driver began dropping one person off at a time, taking detours to bring them to their front door. We also changed the vehicle for some reason. When I asked the driver when we would arrive at our destination, which was the Vail Transportation hub, he just stared at me. I asked again, and he mumbled that we would arrive today. Many detours later, we finally arrived in Vail at almost 6 p.m. Do yourself a favor and pick a different bus company. read more

Peak 1 Express threatened to hold me hostage at the airport unless I paid ransom. After facing serious delays at immigration in JFK, running to catch my connection, and being delayed again on the tarmac, I landed only 20 minutes before my shuttle w/ Peak 1 Express was supposed to leave. Again I ran to the baggage claim area, anxious to get to my ride. 5 minutes after my shuttles scheduled departure time I received a call from the driver, asking where I was. I explained I was still waiting for one of my bags (70 pounds of ski gear I needed to lug), and that I would come as soon as I could. He explained they could only wait for 15 minutes before they needed to leave. I thought there was no way it would take longer than that for my bag to arrive, but as they started wheeling out the carts full of oversized baggage I didn't see mine coming. The first cart came, then the second, then the third. Nothing. Finally after the 15 minute grace period expired, the driver called and said they needed to leave. As heartbreaking as it was, with no sign of my bag I had to tell him to go on without me. The last leg of my 22 hour travel day, the 2 hour shuttle home would have to wait. The driver was kind enough to wait 20 minutes which I am grateful for. It's what happened next where my experience with Peak 1 Express started to turn. For additional context, the only reason I had booked with Peak 1 Express was due to the timing of the shuttle. It was much closer to my arrival time than the shuttle service that I typically use, Epic Mountain Express. But before I even had time to think about my next steps, I received a text message from Peak 1 Express that I had been rebooked on an 11pm shuttle, 2 and a half hours from then. Having to spend another 2 and a half hours in the airport terminal before driving 2 hours home was a terrifying thought. I immediately called the support line to talk to a representative. I explained the situation, and thought there would be some understanding. To my dismay, I was hit with the consistently repeated line of "I'm sorry sir there's nothing we can do, our policy is no refunds within 24 hours of the departure." It was incredibly eerie. It felt almost as if the representative was a hostage to the company, afraid to misspeak for fear of retribution. "So you're saying I'm f*****," I asked. "I wouldn't use those words," she responded. I immediately went over to the Epic Mountain Shuttle booth and explained the situation, was given a 20% discount, and put on a shuttle leaving in 50 minutes. 50 minutes I could manage. As I was waiting for the shuttle, I sent an email to the Peak 1 Express, explaining the situation and how frustrating the experience was after a long day of travel. I thought that would be the end of it. When I awoke, I received an email in my inbox from the Peak 1 Express email. The following passage is an excerpt from their response. "Per our policy, if a passenger misses their scheduled shuttle, we will place them on the next available departure when possible. This is what occurred with the 11:00 PM shuttle. If a passenger is unable or chooses not to take the rebooked shuttle, the reservation remains nonrefundable." Essentially saying they can put me on a shuttle at the time of their choosing without my consent, and there was nothing I could do about it. I was in no physical condition to survive 2 and a half hours in the airport terminal, yet that did not matter to anybody at Peak 1 Express. All that mattered was that they already had my money in their pocket. After this I scoured their website, reading all available policies there was no mention of an automatic rebooking policy, as had been weaponized by the customer service representative. In summary, for circumstances completely outside of my control, after a long day of frustration, challenges, and discomfort, Peak 1 Express treated me as nothing more than a credit card. Then, they hid behind "policy". There is a long string of historical atrocities committed by people and organizations that hid behind policy (the Khmer Rouge, the Hutus). I truly hope Peak 1 Express is not the next name on that list. read more

Stay away if you actually have a flight to catch! Our experience with this shuttle service was a total disaster. We booked a 6:15 AM pickup to ensure we'd make our flight, only to deal with a series of unprofessional delays and a complete lack of accountability. The Night Before: They moved our pickup to 6:45 AM. While annoying, it was within their "45-minute policy," so we accepted it. The Morning Of: At 6:14 AM, we received a vague message stating there was a delay with no ETA. Zero Communication: We spent the next 30 minutes calling their office repeatedly. No one answered. The Breaking Point: At 6:45 AM, they finally messaged saying the delay would be another 60 minutes. That's a total delay of 1.5 hours from our original reservation. We eventually had to scramble for an Uber at 7:00 AM just to make our flight. Even with the Uber, we barely made it to the gate on time. The worst part? The company refused to issue a refund. They claimed they still would have gotten us to the airport "in time," which is factually impossible given how close we cut it with a faster private ride. This company does not value your time or your money. If you need to be at the airport on schedule, do not trust them. read more

NEVER BOOK WITH PEAK 1 EXPRESS. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Peak 1 Express was horrible. We landed 20 minutes late (completely out of our control) and he told us he would tell the shuttle to wait and then called back to inform us that he "had to tell them to leave" after we sprinted off the flight. After telling us the $250 was non refundable, we worked to call an uber as quickly as possible (which was way cheaper than the $250 FYI). When we called back to try to re schedule the ride literally 20 minutes later he told us he had cancelled the ride and that there was nothing he could do about it. $250 down the drain when we did absolutely nothing wrong. Absolute worst customer experience I've ever had. 1. The ride was 1.5 hours late picking me up. 2. The driver was yelling at all of us and telling us it's our fault that he's late because we shouldn't be traveling on a Sunday 3. The driver wrecked my very nice new suitcase because he was struggling to control his temper. The side is busted in which would be fine, but the handle no longer properly works because he threw it so hard. The manager told me she would not be able to give me a refund or even a CREDIT for this experience, and that she would have to follow up with me about the bag. I've called twice since that conversation two weeks ago - the first time she sent me to her voicemail. I left a message and she never called me back. Then, I waited on hold for 40 minutes to speak to a supervisor only to be told that 'nobody is available' and they will not reimburse me for property damages. Overall, our shuttle ride on Peak 1 Mountain Express was disappointing. We took the shuttle from summit county to DIA on Monday, 02/17, when the road conditions were very snowy. We appreciate the driver's efforts to transport us to DIA in these conditions - we definitely would not have felt comfortable driving ourselves! That said, we noticed that the shuttle did not have chains or studs and slid on the drive a few times. This could also have been the cause for the driver not being able to get "as close" to our (and other) pickups causing even more delays and for many guests, including ourselves, to have to hike thorugh 6in-1ft of snow. The driver did not offer to come help with luggage even though he parked about 60-100ft from our door and futher from others. This adding so much additional time, our clothes wet with melting snow, and the few slides made for a very uncomfortable and nerve-wrecking experience. When we got out of the mountains, the driver picked up quite a bit of speed (perhaps to try to make up time) which led to two passengers from different groups becoming car sick on the drive. We booked the shuttle for a 3:30am departure time from summit county to make a 8:15am flight and anticipated that even with some delays we would have plenty of time to make our flight. However, with the above delays the shuttle did not arrive at DIA until 7:45am and we had to rebook our flight (for an additional $250). The delay seemed to be due to poor weather conditions, which we do not fault Peak 1 Mountain Express for. It is still unfortunate that we had this unexpected expense. We've taken many mountain shuttles before and this was the most delayed and most uncomfortable shuttle ride yet. read more

The shuttle to the airport was over 30 minutes late with no notifications, we had to call several times to get any status on our shuttle. After waiting 45 minutes we had to contact Uber and try to make it to the airport in time for our flight. We missed our flights. In addition the Peak 1 staff was very unhelpful. read more

First time using or well apparently just giving my money away.. they claim all phone calls are recorded. They say they will wait for you for 10 or 15 minutes after the pickup time. They don't. Quick summary of their shortcomings: - No map of location when choosing pickup/drop off - No way to reference location of pickup after booking - No address of pickup location - Vague information on pickup/drop off location - Long customer service wait time - No way to change reservation online This next part is just for me to vent: Scheduled my shuttle to be picked up in Vail Village, when they sent me the email with my pickup details they didn't give me an address or location to be picked up at. Vail mountain workers didn't know where it would pick me up, so I lugged all my gear back to the Vail Transportation center to see if they knew about the mythical Peak 1 pickup spot. They did not, so I called Peak 1 and had to wait for 30mins to get picked up. This caused further stress because the time was ticking on missing my shuttle. Finally got a hold of them and switched my pickup to Vail Transportation center, but they already chewed up 2.5 hours of my day before even getting on the shuttle. I will NEVER be booking with Peak 1 Express again and will dissuade everyone I know from booking with them. read more

The classic review of: "If I could give this negative stars I would," I 1000% would not recommend Peak 1 in any way shape or form. This was the worst experience I could have ever thought possible when I first booked with them. I booked them for a trip from Breckenridge to DIA. My pickup time was supposed to be at 12:30pm, but after waiting a couple minutes I got a message that simply said that the shuttle was delayed and that there wasn't any update on timing. Here's where it turns into a cluster. They have ZERO ability to communicate. After waiting around for an hour, I call them, see I'm #6 in the queue and request a call back. As you can imagine, I never got that call back. So another 30 minutes go by and I call them again, this time I finally reach someone and they tell me roads are closed, and they're trying to figure things out. Okay, fair enough. Multiple hours go by and still no word from Peak 1, so I call again for an update. Same story. It's now 9pm, and the only sort of communication received from them was via me calling them directly. I call twice and leave a voicemail once because now there's no one there to answer the phone. At this point I'm desperate for any update whatsoever so I can have some sort of idea on when I could possibly rebook my flight. They have the audacity to text me and say (paraphrasing): "they're sorry they missed my call, they're working on an update, and please don't call in again so they can accommodate all the calls." You can guess where this goes, i wake up at 5am and not one single update, call, or message from Peak 1. It had been 18 hours from the time of my pickup and they couldn't even have the courtesy to make me feel like they cared. I end up having to get an Uber, pay double for what I would have with peak, just to get out of the city and back to Denver so I can make my flight and be with my 18mo old daughter. And then they text me at 5:45am and ask if I was able to be taken care of. Laughable. I get that the storm sucked, I get that roads were closed, but if you want to be a business, just pretend like you give a f*** about your clients. Even a no update text is better than forcing me to sit around, wondering, panicking, about how I was going to get home. Tl;dr: stranded in breck, peak 1 was obviously overwhelmed with the storm, made no effort to reach out to me, and made me feel like they didn't have an ounce of care for their clients. Ended up paying double just to get to the airport. Find a different company, I beg of you. read more

Excellent! Great experience scheduling online, clear communication pre-pick-up, prompt pick-up and drop-off (team work finding quickest route). Van was clean and comfortable. Our driver Chancy was friendly and attentive to our comfort. Very good price and they allow dogs (EPIC does not and was more expensive). Probably only compliant was having to stop in SIlverthorne before Breck and off load some passengers, but I also understand that this comes with booking a shared shuttle. Choose a different shuttle service. After booking over a dozen ride services to the same address the past calendar year, we were simply dismissed and told our pickup address is outside of their jurisdiction. How was this the first time we've been told this? Wouldn't this have been disclosed during other previous bookings? The driver assigned to pick me up in July was angry with me because the GPS sent him in a loop. I don't have control over that? I am not a driver? Last December we were the first group picked up (4:30am) and got comfortable while everyone else was picked up. On the last passenger pick up, my mom and I were moved to the back because the passengers boarding needed front seats due to medical reasons. Which, we totally understood. But the driver wasn't made aware by the dispatch office. It was the responsibility of dispatch to communicate with their drivers of the previously arranged seating. There lacks a lot of communication with this shuttle service. Very discouraged with our recent encounters and my family of 7 will be booking elsewhere. read more

The reps who I spoke to over the phone each time were super informative and helpful. Our flight into Denver was delayed, and almost pushed back our travel plans by a few hours. The driver for our shuttle from the airport was awesome and made sure we got in the 1:30 shuttle, rather than waiting 2 more hours for the next one. We hustled but I can't thank them enough for saving time for us!! I would definitely use Peak 1 Express again when traveling to the mountains from the airport. I've not had a chance to ride with their shuttle, but please read on.... I reserved Peak 1 for shuttle service to the airport then had to cancel unexpectedly. Crying for having to cancel the entire trip, I called about an hour inside of the 24-hour cancellation policy. Naomi was very patient and understanding, she kindly asked another person if I may be granted a full refund. Their policy is clear, so it wasn't possible. *However, ... She did explain the good news of what was possible, that I could have a credit, to use anytime within the next year. Wondering if I would ever have the opportunity to fly somewhere again, I thought that was kind. Even better, the credit is transferrable. Thinking of anyone I know that may have dire circumstances arise, this may be a better option, to give the gift of a ride to Denver airport. As traffic can be stressful alone on the I-70 corridor, having Peak 1 eliminate that worry is quite comforting. Pay it forward, I say. While I was on hold to cancel the reservation, I used their info bot to ask about the cancellation policy. Thankfully, my phone number was required, and didn't think anything of it. The bot couldn't provide the info requested, so I closed out of the chat. A couple of hours later, this darling person called, to answer any questions from the chat! (They have representatives for phone reservations, chat, and email - all assigned to that specific task.) Katie completely understood my dilemma and gently repeated their policy, confirming my email address, so that I may have the credit info all in one place, for convenience. How wonderful to receive options in an extraordinary situation, and without a harsh 'no', like some uncaring businesses. But there's more... Because I responding to their email, PJ called me a bit after Katie, asking what he could do to help. I was stunned, thinking these folks really and truly care about their passengers and quality customer service. I repeated what I needed, only the info about the above-mentioned credit (I simply figured it took a bit to process an email.) He reassured me, that the email was on the way. Overjoyed from their compassion I asked to speak to a manager, to offer compliments and a couple of suggestions. Quick thinking, I realized that a review could share my experience perfectly and reach many more. I would absolutely book them again, with or without the upcoming credit, based on this single experience. Peak 1 far exceeded my expectations, and I never left home. Having a brief but similar experience with the airline, words cannot convey the joy and relief I felt, and my heart being lifted out of sadness from having to cancel this trip. Horrible customer service. Our flight was canceled home due to a blizzard and they would not accommodate without an up charge. We gave them a 24 heads up to help with the flight and date change and they just kept telling us the price was more on the date needed to go home. Awful!!!! Now I know why they are so cheap. Book elsewhere!!!! read more

Avoid Peak 1 at all costs. They have awful customer service, do not run on time, and are not willing to take responsibility if they do not get you to your destination on time. I was forced to miss my flight and buy a new flight and hotel in Denver because the shuttle did not arrive on time. When we hit traffic in Denver the driver refused to divert around even though Waze, Maps, etc. were showing routes that were 20 minutes shorter claiming they knew more than the maps. Lastly in order to save a couple bucks Peak 1 is only allowed to use express lanes "on certain days" and instead will just sit in traffic while you watch Epic shuttles cruise by. When I requested a refund customer service was rude and unhelpful and accepted no responsibility for the massive amount of additional cost I was forced to incur from buying a new flight and hotel and getting home a day late. read more

I signed up for a round trip shuttle because it gave me 100% money back guarantee that I would be able to get my money back if I canceled within a certain time frame, we ended up renting a vehicle so obviously we do not need the shuttle. I called and canceled and they tried to charge me money for cancelling, thankfully I took a picture and video of the policy before clicking accept, but they still have not refunded me my full amount, and on top of that they charged me an extra 27.80 when I canceled, so in total they are trying to keep $56 dollars even though I canceled with 2 weeks in advance. I would be cautious if you are signing up with the thought that you will get your full refund if you cancel. read more

I booked my shared shuttle for 8pm as that was the next time they had with my flight from a 5pm arrival. Less than 24 hours before i landed, I received an email that the time was updated to 9:30pm. Because it was less than 24 hours before the ride, I couldn't cancel the ride without losing my money. The shuttle ended up arriving around 10pm. After waiting at the airport for 5 hours, I looked up uber prices to Vail from the airport and found they were less expensive than the cost of Peak 1 shuttle. Better off booking the Epic Shuttle or ubering! read more
