She ended up with several pairs of jeans RRP £70 for £10-15 each, 3 coats all £15 each with RRPs way North of £60 each and a whole bunch of tops at a similar massive discount. It was Chelsea on the cheap really. It's not just for kids and adults are well catered for too. There is also a homeware department on the first floor.if you need a frying pan or some linens. Parking is plentiful and public transport is just as easy. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Maybe you could say it's the Harrods of Ilford. I am surprised it's still open. It's catered for an older market - lots of clothes for pensioners. No longer do I puzzle about where they get their specific 'fashions' from. I went in for a zip and it's perfect for that - a huge haberdashery section. I am very glad it's still open. Bodgers is a wonderful old niche department store.

This was all down to the attitude of a senior member of staff who was called upon to sort out a problem caused by very poor pricing of goods in particular reading glasses. Her attitude to us was quite frankly disgraceful as it was to younger staff members. We were not left out of pocket but she made it quite clear that although it was entirely the fault of the shop and its lack of accurate pricing she was refunding monies owed as a goodwill gesture. I think not!!! No way will I shop in the store again nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

John Lewis guarentees are not what they seem - Machine failed twice due to manufacturing defects…read moreand a replacement request by customer declined. It has to fail 3 times apparently. That's a lot of trouble shooting at home, engineer visits, days off and call centre pass arounds without a functioning washer/dryer for your family - only to have very little faith it will last much longer than 3 years (for quite alot of money). The lifespan might not be much more than 3 years. Think carefully if you are happy with this approach. Never asked John Lewis before for a replacement in 20 years. John Lewis passed the buck for machine replacement request to Electrolux on this one. It seems the guarantee action and control is with Electolux rather than John Lewis. Electrolux refused and John Lewis went along with it. John Lewis are acting very close to the line on consumer protection law based on their advertising claims. Karim from customers services was very helpful but could not do any more. Apparently Jennifer from Electrolux stated 2 repair claims in the last year coming up to guarantee end did not merit a replacement and the standard of goods is normal. Take from this what you will.

The store is small offers a limited selection of high-end British gifts. The store felt typical of other stores in the station, it was nice enough with a clock and train times on display on a screen in-store. No travel accessories, food and drink etc like many places nearby. Surely as they own supermarket chain Waitrose having a small fridge would be useful and very easy to do? A nice brand in the station but it's a strange branch by John Lewis standards, with a few missed opportunities. 2*

I want to come back here (Why can't I ever buy anything here the first time, damn North London rent) to buy this silk polka dot dress for 34.00. A nice range of linens is offered from practical no-iron percale to sheets and pillows by Monsoon. On the ground floor, clothes are grouped into boutique-like clusters. Evans has a section, so does Monsoon, so does Top Shop. Cosmetic counters flank the front of the store, next to the wig shop and hair salon and a few sticks of furniture are sold in the basement.

A fairly small and compact store for House of Fraser standards in London, located on Victoria…read moreStreet, close to the Railway and Underground Station. Interestingly, this store was part of the few 27 stores which were originally saved in House of Fraser's closing plan and take-over before more stores were added. This hotel is one of the many stores House of Fraser have in their branch network which was taken over independent department stores, and I like how they have the historical mentions of the old store in this one, I found it cool and fascinating that a department store has stood on this exact spot since the days of The Army and Navy Co-operative in 1871, and how even though it has changed a hell of a lot, it still remains on this site. The store was modern to an extent, but it didn't stand out as much as the larger and bigger stores such as Manchester Deansgate and the flagship London Oxford Street stores. The store had one main entrance with automatic doors, the rest were either blocked off or with heavier doors which were definitely in need of refurb to perhaps appear more welcoming. The product selection was okay, however, the store was understaffed so sometimes it might have been a struggle to find what you are looking for and a member of staff to help you. It certainly isn't the best House of Fraser branch in London, albeit it isn't terrible it does require a good number of improvements so can only warrant a two-star rating for now.
