James Selby has cool stuff for good prices…read more You can get Topshop clothing here and Indie labels. You can also get cheap dishes and glassware. This shop reminds me of John Lewis on a budget, complete with Camden style strippy tights for your goth moments or years. J. Selby comes complete with a wig salon with normal coloured wigs and a magenta wig! I thought the kitchenware was really cheap and there were some pretty glasses on offer from 1.50. I want to come back here (Why can't I ever buy anything here the first time, damn North London rent) to buy this silk polka dot dress for 34.00. It is made by some Indie designer beginning with Dark...but I can't read my own handwritting so I'll have to work on my freehand and let you know. Go to James Selby..you will not be disappointed!

It's one of a dying breed, the independent department store. Upstairs, shoppers can buy sewing notions, polyester granny smocks and aprons, low end Wedgewood lines, Pyrex, and linens. A nice range of linens is offered from practical no-iron percale to sheets and pillows by Monsoon. On the ground floor, clothes are grouped into boutique-like clusters. Evans has a section, so does Monsoon, so does Top Shop. Cosmetic counters flank the front of the store, next to the wig shop and hair salon and a few sticks of furniture are sold in the basement.

Er... No! Nags Head Market, what is going on? You claim to have over fifty stalls, I arrived on a…read moreSunday (generally market day in London) at 1pm and counted exactly nine stalls open. I felt like I was in an out of season seaside resort. You'll find cheap catalogue knock-off style clothing stalls, a fishmonger, a fruit & veg stall and the occasional 'I am clearing out my house and want you to buy my stuff', kind of stall. Nags Head market is definitely weird, rarely wonderful and with the people who frequent this area of N7, teetering on the precipice of being a ghetto London shopping experience.

An update because all other reviews are kind of out of date…read more I visited on Thursday between 10 and 11 AM, quite some stalls/shops were closed. Some were opening up their shop, to prepare for a lunch crowd I guess? Most of the stalls don't really sell anything I would really go to this market for, like cheap suitcases or so. Some stalls sell some special take away food, like Japanese or Nigerian, have not tried any. I do love the first few shops of this market when entering from Seven Sisters road. The fish shop Holloway Fisheries has a very good offer of fresh fish, good priced, cleaned as you wish by the nice guys. The butcher A&F Butchers looks like a great butcher, with halal meat, beef, lamb and poultry. The vegetables at the greengrocer also look really good and fresh, great shop. I will definitely come back to the three shops above mentioned but are not really thrilled about the rest of the market.

The location was right in the middle of the action. Specific to JellyCat, they were having the Fish and Chips pop up, which offers limited edition fish and chips related Jellycats, where you interact with the staff as they present it to you with a sticker with your name and a personalized experience. You could make a reservation or just stand in line. We chose to do neither and my daughter got a lemon wedge Jellycat. The line was short and the staff was friendly.

For the food hall I loved that they had a great selection of so many different types of food and drink. I was able to pick up some sushi and drinks, while the honey got some ramen to-go. I also loved that you could pay at the specific stall you got the food from and did not have to get in line for every single item. In relation to Selfridges' clothing section upstairs, the signage for the sections was poor and we ended up having to ask where the swim area was. Everything was £80 and up so we later ended up going to Primark since it was a little too rich for our blood (DH constantly loses his swim trucks when we travel). All in all, I was glad they were close to our hotel and the food hall definitely gives the nearby Mercado (which was our goto last year) a run for it's money.

There were even dried fruits? They looked so cute! I didn't go to the top floors but my friend went to the bottom floor to pay bc there were too many people. And there were pastries! Oh my oh my, I couldn't resist! It all looked so good too! But I was able to control myself and only got a cheese scone and fig fruit tart. It's just something I never had before. The fruit tart was a little sweet but good. The cheese scone smelled great but I haven't tried it. I don't have room for it yet. This will also be an ideal place to get some souvenirs for your folks too.

5 Star brand, 2 Star service 2 months ago I order a hamper…read moreas a thank you gift for my friends and selected a named day delivery because of my and their travel plans. F&M failed to meet this, failed to contact me and failed to resolve the issue when I brought it to their attention. Instead F&M lied to me, offered pitiful tokens of apology and took up half my afternoon because of a customer service process that just isn't fit for purpose. If you want a reliable dependable service, look elsewhere. When I emailed the customer service address given with the order, I got an automated response that it was no longer in service and to use whatsapp instead. The whatsapp service took over 3 hours without any resolution. First a chatbot could not provide details, then after a 2 hour wait a agent contacted me to ask me to reconfirm the details and verify my identity. This agent just gave overly sweet false platitudes, lied that the shipment had already been shipped and offered £10 for the inconvenience. 2 months of advance notice wasted, 3 hours of my time wasted and F&Ms solution is to lie to me, give me a £10 voucher, keep its profit, not express the delivery, just plod along as it pleases. Woeful! Moral of the story F&M are unreliable and when it makes a mistake it does not take responsibility to resolve the issue. Instead it lies, gives false platitudes about caring and escalation the issue. All to maximise its profit even when it fails to meet the service it was paid to provide.

The showroom contains a bit of a mish-mash of different style designs and ideas. Some things are very expensive, some are a little expensive...but lots of their products look really nice. There are also a few "who-on-earth-would-pay-*that-much*-for-*that*" type items, but meh, different strokes for different folks. There were a couple of items that caught my eye. We're re-doing our floors at the moment, so I can't actually buy anything until it is all sorted...but I have a feeling I'll be back to buy something later.
