She got us checked in quickly and helped put us at ease. My son needed to be sedated through an IV for his dental procedure due to his sensory needs, and as any special needs parent knows, that can be incredibly overwhelming. Dr. Paris was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and never once made me feel judged. Because of my son's sensory challenges, brushing his teeth has always been a struggle. Unfortunately, he needed eight crowns and three extractions**. As a parent, it's easy to feel like you've somehow failed your child in moments like these, but not one person on this team made me feel ashamed or uncomfortable. Instead, they treated us with compassion, understanding, and genuine kindness. After the procedure, Cindy, the recovery nurse, was equally incredible. I'm a single mom and didn't have anyone with me that day. She was so patient, caring, and even helped me get my son safely to the car. That simple act of kindness meant more than she probably realizes.While no parent wants their child to have to go through a procedure like this, the level of compassion, professionalism, and exceptional care we received made all the difference. Every member of the team treated us with dignity and empathy, and I am beyond grateful for the experience they provided. I like that they are very gentle with the kids - not pushing x-rays at the first visit if they child is frightened or seems anxious. They are willing to be patient and take their time if it means the patient having a more positive experience. They have a great waiting room for both parents and kids (lots of Legos, a video gaming system, a TV with cartoons and - my kids' favorite - the fish tank). Their professionalism really shines, though, when dealing with children with sensory needs. My son has autism and serious anxiety about doctor visits. But Dr. Sheh and Dr. Powell and staff always take the time to explain what they are about to do, let him see any tools they are using, and pace the visit so as not to overwhelm him. They can do sedation if it is needed, but, thankfully, my son is able to undergo cleanings in their office without any medication, due to their gentle and patient manner. I mean I was glad it was fixed, but I just drove an hour for 30 seconds and was looking at an hour drive back! 30 seconds?! Couldn't they have faked it for 10 mins or so to make me feel better about the drive? I mean come on... Really the fact that they got us in here asap, took care of it no charge, and we were done in less then a min... if it wasn't for the drive I would have said this was the best doc visit ever!

I had concerns during my child's dental procedure that led me to seek care elsewhere. My child became very upset during the process, and I asked the provider to be gentle and mindful of her discomfort. At that point, the provider became upset and chose not to continue the procedure. I then requested to speak with management to address my concerns. I later followed up and also filed a report with the appropriate dental licensing board. I also have family members who work in the dental field, and after explaining my experience, they encouraged me to report the situation due to concerns that it did not align with standard patient care practices. After I raised my concerns, the office contacted me and tried to explain that the provider did not show frustration during the procedure. While I understand that everyone is human and emotions can happen in stressful situations, my experience as a parent in that moment felt very different and concerning. Because of everything that occurred, I felt it was necessary to report the issue and I will be seeking care elsewhere. I also recommend that other parents ask clear questions about treatment plans, medications, and billing before proceeding with care

Dr. Karina has new and modern equipment as well as televisions in the ceiling over her dental chairs to keep the kiddos distracted while she does her dental magic. When I told the receptionist why we had returned, she literally said to me that she talked to the call center, the doctor had just left and told them that they could close early, so I would need to reschedule. I pointed to the technician who had installed the brackets and mentioned that she was still there and all we wanted was for her to reattach them. The receptionist stated that the technician could not see my daughter without the doctor seeing her first, although we had literally just left. I mentioned that I had to take off work today and pull her out of school for the appointment and she did not care. She also told me that she would not be calling the doctor to come back and offered an appt for the following morning. I pleaded with her about calling the doctor and she literally said, "We don't have her number". The technician was literally a few feet from me, and the receptionist refused to even have her to come out to speak with me about the issue. I cannot take off work short notice, so my daughter will have to now go 3 weeks without brackets properly installed in her mouth. When I asked about going to another location, she said "I don't know anything about that'. She had no compassion or concern at all. Now I will be trying to figure out a way to have my daughter seen by another office. The customer service was so poor that I never want to set foot in that office again. I am baffled at how someone could be so insensitive and work with the public.
