took an early morning Cruise here. Our neighbors have been coming here for years, and we are always looking to try something new. It was early on a saturday, i did mention it was early. So we had the whole place to ourselves. We had a great talk with the ladies that were there, and got our breakfast recommendation. It was simple and so good. We were glad we got talked into the Sausage it was amazing. The breakfast overall was great. We have loved going here for a number of years, and have loved the food and ice cream. We recently arrived there 40 minutes prior to closing for an early Sunday dinner, since they close at 5PM, only to be told told they had run out of ALL food at 4 PM, and the kitchen was closed. They only had cake and ice cream for sale. Ironically, we had called them a couple hours earlier to confirm our arrival time. I don't find it crediable that ran out of ALL food, thus I am removing 3 stars for the blatant lie. So disappointed in there customer relations, and will take some time to reevaluate whether a return trip, which is 1 hour drive, is in our future. So disappointed. read more

Sooo disappointed.. I haven't been in while and the last time I went the food was ok.. Well a friend brought me some ice cream about a week ago ,which was delicious. So I figured I'd stop by around lunch time and get a sandwich .. I had the chicken sandwich which was flavorless.. And the lettuce looked less then fresh.. And I swear to you they used old French fries and refried them.. They tasted horrible and burnt.. YET again the ice cream was delicious tho.. Really disappointed because I love to support little joints like this... But the lack of care for the food was less then effortless.. And for the price you pay you should get a good meal.. Not great but at least good.. Maybe next time it will be a win. read more

BEST food on our road trip! Tiny place on the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere. We went there on a recommendation from the folks at the Edgefield Genealogy Society, with the hope that we might speak with the owner but we didn't bother to try once we got there. it was so very busy and packed and mostly we were hoping for some family history information. You sit yourself. We skipped the appetizers because we knew there was homemade ice cream waiting for us. I had the cold plate (a heap of pimiento cheese, a heap of chicken salad, a sliced boiled egg, a sliced tomato and the fresh fruit of the day (blueberries, strawberries and half a banana). O!M!G! So very good. The cheese was slightly mayonnaisey (not my fave) but i gobbled it down. the only thing i would add to that dish was some crackers for scooping. The fruit was so fresh and cold. I have no idea what my mother and sister ordered but they said it was good. ha. now... for the ice cream... if you are lucky, get the peach. Light. Super Cold. Creamy. Perfect. They might know what they are doing. My sister chose the peach/strawberry swirl and i took a taste... the strawberry tastes like they mashed up fresh strawberries that very day and whipped it all up. plus they sell a lot of homemade preserves, jams, butters, honey, etc. etc. i have yet to try the honey and muscadine preserves but if they are anything like the food and ice cream, i'm sure that i won't be disappointed. read more

About a year ago, while visiting my niece at the University of South Carolina, we decided to go for a drive in the countryside. We came across the quaint Peaches N' Such farm store and decided to stop for a while. Let me say that I like peaches, but they aren't something that I typically buy for myself. When we walked in, we were offered samples of Peaches N' Such's fresh peach ice cream. I am not exaggerating when I say that the peach ice cream I had that day was the greatest scoop of ice cream I have had in my life. Coming from someone with a lifelong love affair with chocolate and mint chip ice cream, that is saying something! My family and I visited my niece this past weekend, and, by popular demand, we decided to try to find "that amazing peach place" again. We were about to give up and head back to campus when we spotted the store. Naturally, we all had the ice cream, and it was as good as we remembered it. We also stocked up on some other stuff, including the peach cider (great!), peach salsa (amazing balance of heat and sweet - spectacular!), strawberry salsa (haven't tried it yet), and a few other items. This time, we made note of Peaches N' Such's address and saved it as a favorite on our GPS. It's about an hour away from the USC Columbia campus, and we're sure that we'll be visiting again. Best. We travel to peaches and such about once a month. It a roadside Resturant that has great hamburgers and probably the best peach and strawberry ice cream I have tasted since I was a little boy. It's home made they cut the peaches up and strawberries right from the field. It's worth the drive to just outside of ridge spring SC! read more
