I called to see if they had a specific float for my evaporative cooler in stock because they are extremely hard to find. The lady on the phone immediately said yes. I drove pretty far out of my way to get there and even the guy at the front desk pointed me to the correct aisle. Unfortunately no one bothered to check that they were actually out of stock on that part. Someone with a clue finally checked and told me they have 20 on order but with no specific delivery date. sorry they wasted my time and gas. Pretty dishonest customer service. read more

I have been shopping at Peachtree for years. They generally have everything I need and the staff is tremendous. My only problem is the prices are very high. Sometimes twice as expensive as home Depot. They are close to my home and sometimes I am willing to pay the price for the convenience. read more

Everyone knows that things cost more right now. There is general inflation in everything currently. However, some businesses have taken this as a sign to charge even more than what they should. I've been shopping at this store for many years. It's always been a marginal store because of the prices. The support staff is usually top-notch but I went to the store yesterday to get some self tapping metal screws. I was shocked when I found them because they were listed at $.75 each! It would have cost me a great deal more to do the job than what I planned. I decided that couldn't be right and tried to find staff to ask. At that time, I couldn't find anyone, so I left and went down the street. At Lowes, I got a box of 20 identical screws for less than $7! Inflation is here and is something that most of us have no control over. The price gouging going on at Tru Value is not inflation, it's greed. read more

I'm writing to tell you that I was just in your store and was treated with such disrespect. It is unacceptable. I was in the store returning a part that I had just bought and was accused of stealing a part out of it and told that I could not return it because of that. The gentleman taking care of me was a heavyset Latino man, and he didn't even apologize when he realized that the part was still in there and that he had wrongly accused me of stealing something from your store. I have been a regular customers of yours since I moved here eight years ago , and I will never come into your store again. That was embarrassing uncalled for and very unprofessional. read more

I normally don't leave reviews for places but this place deserves an amazing review. I have had a few plumbing issues at my house and I know that I can come to this place and no matter who it is working in the plumbing section, They will always help me step-by-step on what to do and what to buy. These people know what they're talking about and truly enjoy their job. One guy Jim I believe was his name , Even offered to help me over the phone if I call the store while I was trying to fix my sink. I made the mistake of going to Home Depot about my water pipe outside , I was able to come here and get the CORRECT Advice. I am so impressed and happy to know that there's a place close to home that will help me fix anything I need. It's trying a life saver. read more

I had just bought a lawn mower at an auction. I called ahead to see if they'd work on it and they said they would. When I arrived the service department guy said they wouldn't. He said the owner's policy was "They don't work on equipment purchased at auctions or yard sales because it is being sold because it needs to be repaired." I was baffled by his response, so questioned him further and his reply was "We just don't. End of story." I will not go back. read more

I grew up shopping at the Orchard Mesa Tru Value store and it was always a wonderful experience. Then after marriage moved to other end of town and began shopping at Tru Value on North Avenue. Same great service and you can find most anything you need or want with them. Have no idea what Michael P. problem is because nothing he posted is true. The people are wonderful and there is always someone available to help you regardless of what you are looking for. I go here often. I mostly started going because it's close to home and locally owned. I've had some issues in the past with the people that work in the hardware section not being super nice and a bit condescending. That being said, I bought sooo much painting supplies and paint from the paint department, specifically Toby, and all of the front desk ladies are so very nice and helpful. I am so frustrated now because I went in yesterday and a man in the hardware department was so rude to me and talked down to me as if I was clueless and a waste of his time. He actually walked away from helping me and didn't make sure I had what I needed. I assumed it's because I'm a woman in a hardware department. Nope. I forgot something. Had my husband stop by on his way home from work. First thing he said when he walked through the door... 'that guy was taking to me like I was an idiot.' They need to be a bit nicer to their customers and don't bother asking I if they can help if they really don't want to. read more

I ordered 25 2x4s at the desk. When they were delivered, I could only use a handful because the rest were bent or twisted. I learned my lesson here and will go to Lowes in the future, local store or not. Why should I pay for junk at this place when I can get better at a big box store ? read more

I was shopping there with my kids when we went to cash out the man behind the counter approached me.... with a rude tone and said let me look in your bag.. The only thing I had was my Lv purse I told him I only have a purse he argued with me. That's it is a bag not a purse...I don't shop lift so I emptied my purse on the counter.... Of corse there was nothing in it.... No I'm sorry just rude attitude. I asked for a Manager she came out to talk to me and her answer was they search all bags... However the lady across the counter from me had a purse bigger then mine no one stopped her... I think I'll shop anywhere els but here... The way they Handel shoplifting I ridiculous. I had a worker helping me the entire time I was in the store and still got treated rude... Maybe they should try hiring better employees. That have customer service skills.
