The "Peach Pit Inn" or "No, it doesn't." This was my first attempt to book a room with my hotels.com app. "Two hours up ahead, in St. George, SC, I can book a room with decent reviews (2.5/5 hotels.com site rating, 3.3/5 rating of 301 verified guests, and 4/5 TripAdvisor.com rating of 463 reviews! Sounds like a great deal at $53 + tax! I'm gonna book it!" We arrive. At check in, "I'd like to offer you a room with a king bed, at no extra charge. But, it's in the back, where the wifi probably won't work." As we'd just used 10 hours of data on the road. "No, thank you. We'll take a queen room with working wifi, please." Clerk, "Okay, I'm giving you the room just above the office." On the way in, husband has a laugh at the EXIT sign zip-tied to the soffit and the next one completely missing from the mounting bracket. "That's not up to code." We enter "room" which would more aptly be described as converted "broom closet". Room smells moldy. Seating area squished into space suitable for a couple of hobbits. One of two tiny bed pillows has black stains on it (mold? mascara?) "Closet" is the rack in the photo with exposed, rusted pipe ends at face level. The sink doesn't drain. The bathtub doesn't drain. The framed photo on the wall encases dead bugs. The mattress feels/sounds like a field of springs. You can feel each and every spring, all night long. They make springy noises as you toss and turn. The biggest joke of all is that wifi does NOT work in this room either! It immediately disconnects with every attempt to use it. We get our 4-5 hours of terrible sleep, pass on the closet that houses the "continental breakfast", and gtfo of St. Cloud, SC. Please see photo proof of above statements. I cannot imagine where ANY positive reviews came from, unless from a very long time ago, with different owners.

Mouse feces and possibly Bed Bug residue/waste/casings INSIDE of mattress & box spring.

Basic clean room. Bed and bathroom is okay fair. Carpet new. Free breakfast nonexistent. A little noisy. Safe parking lot. Good price.

Room had dead spiders and rolly-pollys in the corners, so clearly it wasn't cleaned properly. Sheets were stained and torn. Lamp shades were even crooked. Breakfast, was pretty much waffles or grits. Nothing compared to other places. I would not recommend this place!!

The employees were so kind and gave amazing customer service, they would get 5 stars for service…read more The only issues we had were with the rooms. First when we arrived, we were given a room that was left open. The beds looked slept in and the room was hot. I ran back down stairs a bit shaken because that made me nervous that someone was in there that shouldn't have been. I then was given a few different stories like "oh maybe they forgot to clean or check it", "they were replacing a bed"...etc. Once we got into our new room it had two beds. I booked a king bed but at this point the baby was exhausted and just needed her pack and play set up and to be put to bed. The floors and bathroom were not clean at all. The walls had many dents and paint chips, but those can be fixed easily and weren't an issue. The best I could do was wipe everything down with baby wipes, dry them with the towels provided and hope for the best. The AC took about 2 hours to cool down the room as the fan settings didn't work very well, but once it cooled off we were good. Once it got dark is when the main problem started. Roaches came from all directions. My husband and I took turns staying up so our daughter could sleep in bed with us because one climbed up the leg of her pack and play. When checking out this morning I was asked how my stay was. I said fine and left because I was too exhausted to talk about what happened in a lobby full of people. We simply will not be returning.
