We stayed here last night and I would've left only one star except that the bed was slightly comfortable. First of all, the lady that was checking us in acted annoyed in having to do so. My husband was trying to be as friendly and nice as possible, but that didn't seem to positively affect her negative attitude towards us. And they had some kind of weird policy that only one person could be inside the small check-in area at one time, so our 11-year-old son and I had to wait outside in the chilly air, even though the 3 of us were together and fit inside just fine. When we got into our room, our son had to use the bathroom and when he came out and tried to wash his hands in the sink, we noticed the sink was missing its drain plug knob. There was nothing to push down to unplug the sink, so the water wouldn't even drain out & began to fill up the sink. I decided to call and let her know about the issue and found out she was already aware of it, even though she gave us no warning about the issue as we were checking in. Then of course it was late & so she couldn't do anything about it because nobody was available, but she didn't even apologize and said the office was closed and actually hung up on me. If this rudeness is the way they want to run the business, then so be it, but I think it's only fair that I warn others who are considering a stay here. read more

The MALE manager is rude, disrespectful and non friendly. No customer service etiquette. Raised his voice at me and used unkind cuss words. I asked him to come listen to the noise above being I was on the lower level. He bluntly lied saying no one was above our unit. While packing my belongings the ppl above (he claimed wasn't came out)They were kind and understanding once we spoke with them. But, it was too late. We were already checking out. Bathroom was filthy with old urine stains ( see attached photos) He was so rude the police had to be called to be documented I would not ever spend another dime to support this hotel. read more

The "Peach Pit Inn" or "No, it doesn't." This was my first attempt to book a room with my hotels.com app. "Two hours up ahead, in St. George, SC, I can book a room with decent reviews (2.5/5 hotels.com site rating, 3.3/5 rating of 301 verified guests, and 4/5 TripAdvisor.com rating of 463 reviews! Sounds like a great deal at $53 + tax! I'm gonna book it!" We arrive. At check in, "I'd like to offer you a room with a king bed, at no extra charge. But, it's in the back, where the wifi probably won't work." As we'd just used 10 hours of data on the road. "No, thank you. We'll take a queen room with working wifi, please." Clerk, "Okay, I'm giving you the room just above the office." On the way in, husband has a laugh at the EXIT sign zip-tied to the soffit and the next one completely missing from the mounting bracket. "That's not up to code." We enter "room" which would more aptly be described as converted "broom closet". Room smells moldy. Seating area squished into space suitable for a couple of hobbits. One of two tiny bed pillows has black stains on it (mold? mascara?) "Closet" is the rack in the photo with exposed, rusted pipe ends at face level. The sink doesn't drain. The bathtub doesn't drain. The framed photo on the wall encases dead bugs. The mattress feels/sounds like a field of springs. You can feel each and every spring, all night long. They make springy noises as you toss and turn. The biggest joke of all is that wifi does NOT work in this room either! It immediately disconnects with every attempt to use it. We get our 4-5 hours of terrible sleep, pass on the closet that houses the "continental breakfast", and gtfo of St. Cloud, SC. Please see photo proof of above statements. MOUSE-INFESTED MATTRESS! Couldn't believe my eyes when a mouse literally ran out of the mattress. This was in the first 10 minutes of being in the room. Further inspection of the mattress revealed a lot of mouse feces, and I mean a lot. Not only inside of the mattress, but on the sheets. Couldn't tell difference between mouse feces and possible bed bug residue/casings/waste. There are likely bed bugs. The very rude manager in the office told me to "leave my door open," to deal with the mouse and that my choices were to sleep in that room, or check out and leave without a refund. I've already processed complaints with: - NATIONAL HOTEL/MOTEL ASSOCIATION - BETTER BUSINESS BEAURU - DORCHESTER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT - and my bank to dispute the charge. Unless you like cockroaches and other bugs, STAY AWAY! After driving 10 hours I checked in for a quick sleep before the second leg of my trip. I initially thought the room was old and not up to date, but should be fine for the night. The TV barely worked, but whatever. Then I moved the chair and found a dead roach. And then another in the corner. I was going to tough it out until I found a dead fly in my bed. I told the front desk and he asked if I wanted a refund or a new room. Not wanting to find something else, I took the new room. Walked into the new room and there was another dead roach. Nope. I immediately started looking for a new room - when I told the man at the front desk he said "if you're checking out you need to leave." I said I had to find a new place to stay and wanted the refund he offered earlier. He said because I booked through a third party (Expedia) that I had to contact them for the refund. He then told me to leave and that I had "already messed up two rooms." I drove 10 minutes to a clean Red Roof Inn. Immediately called Expedia for the refund and they contacted the man at the Peach Tree, who said he checked the rooms for 45 minutes and found no bugs. A double lie, as I SHOWED HIM the dead roaches and hadn't even been gone 45 minutes at the point. Never got my refund. STAY AWAY! read more

I'd give no stars if I could!! First off we asked prices for 4 people and a dog because we were stranded at the pilot across the street. We got the price and drove back and told friends and they decided they were ok without the room. We still wanted it so the 2 of us went back and the lady refused to lower the price to correct amount of people with no dog because she "didn't believe us" she argued to a point where we thought she was going to refuse us a room but instead charged us for 4 people with no dog, a while $10 less. After that battle we went out for some drinks and dinner only to come back to our key not working. She fixed it and we walked in on 2 guests staying in our room!!! Thank god we had left our belongings with our friends. They lady showed she was not apologetic and made US go back into the room with the strangers and get what we had left. Thankfully we got our items but had we not I told her I wanted to be reimbursed for them and she said no. This place was just off 95 which made it convenient for our trip home from Florida. They had 1 room left and it was late. So we happily took it. The motel left quite a bit to be desired but we understood that checking in, just wanting somewhere to crash and shower. The room was basic and was cleanish. The "white" towels haven't seen bleach in ages. The shower was clean but good luck finding the right temp water. But let's back up...we would have likely slept well if housekeeping wasn't banging on our door at 820am. Why in the hell? This makes this place a horrible place for a traveler looking for rest! Super disgusting. I was desperately in need of sleep the other night traveling with my kids. I checked in and immediately checked RIGHT back out. Mouse dropping EVERYWHERE in the bed, coffee maker. Makes my skin crawl just thinking of it. And the funny thing is, I asked the front desk if it was clean before I checked in, to which she replied, "Very," in a tone that suggested she was annoyed that I felt the need to ask. For the price of 60.00 I received a clean room, comfortable beds a decent bathroom with a good shower. Large TV and quiet. The gentleman at the fro t desk was very helpful. Checked the mattress and box spring and found no evidence of bugs or rodent droppings. read more

One night stay and I got my own pillow and blanket out of my car. Bed was terrible. Had flat sheets with stains that didn't even cover the mattress. Front staff was very rude. We were told there would be coffee at 6. Went to get it and woke up attendant who was very rude and said not till 6:30 . Dunkin donuts across the street wasn't any better, they were not ready for the morning either. Go one more exit south and you'll be better off. read more

It was clean and fairly quite. The room has an older look to it, so there is wear and tear to the place. The bed was comfortable and had no problem sleeping. The bathroom was really large which is a nice change. We would definitely stay there again. The staff was super friendly and helpful! read more

With the reviews we had read, we thought we were getting a better hotel in the area when going down for a friends wedding but instead, appear to have gotten the worst. I wonder if the more positive reviews may have come from 'friends' of the owners or managers of the establishment. We found this hotel to one of the most atrocious hotels/motels we've ever stayed in. To begin with, it was extremely dirty. The bathroom was awful; towlet seat broken, water standing in the tub when running the shower; the whole thing in need of repair. We pulled the comforters completely away so as to minimize the germs and bacteria. We also went out and purchased lysol and lysol wipes to clean down as much as we could. The noise from other units, especially the unit above us was so loud we hardly slept at all. And the noise from outside traffic seemed to be non-stop all night long. The staff was anything but personable. They didn't seem to be worried about whether or not you planned to return for sure. IT WAS TERRIBLE! As we said, it was absolutely the worst place we have ever stayed. Take our advice and stay away from this place if you're looking for clean for sure. read more

Very unfriendly lady in the lobby. The room is decent. Breakfast is terrible from coffee to waffles, worse than any other same rated hotels I've stayed in. Ac was off when I came in. Everything in the room looked old, stained spring boxes etc. The only up side is flat screen tv in the room with some decent channel choices. But worst of all was the unfriendly lady in the front. Passing thru on a road trip to FL - the only hotel available and we were very thankful. The front desk lady was friendly and got us checked in quickly. When we got to our room it was stifling hot. A/C wasn't on. Clean room and sheets. Bed was awfully uncomfortable. Bathroom towels were like a bar towel. Small and super rough. You could tell they've had a full life with their stains. For $64 we were happy to get a nights sleep in. Just make sure to book a massage as soon as possible after. read more

The sheets were stained with white stuff, the towels were dirty, the water after shower was all over the floor, smell was horrifying, dirty, floor was sticky, no breakfast until 6:30, came 10 minutes early they wouldn't open door. Beware!! This place is not only very dirty and unsafe but a scam!! The rude woman at the front desk refused to refund any part of our money minutes after checking in.... We had asked for the refund because after seeing the horrible state of the first "clean" room we requested, we had asked to be moved to a different cleaner room and found it to be even worse!! The rooms were disgustingly dirty and we were treated extremely poorly. We left hotel without any refund thinking our car would be ten times more clean and comfortable without the headache. We stayed here on our way to charleston because it was literally the only place with vacancy. When we got to the room, there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom with trash in the floor. Besides that, the room was just ok. Nothing special, similar to a red roof inn or something. The only other problem was being woken up at 8am by a vacuum cleaner above us. You get what you pay for, and this place is about half as expensive as most other places near charleston. read more

VERY economical! Room was clean and large (with king bed). Very quiet and enjoyable! Didn't stay long but we were impressed especially compared to the other options along 95! Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through SC on a road trip. read more
