I've used this UPS center a lot in the past four years. For shipping things I've packed myself,…read moreI've had no issues, and the service has been fine. I always pack and tape everything and pre-label my boxes before I get there, because their point-of-sale fees for such things are very high. This is generally the same no matter what shipping place you go to. However, the latest issue with pre-labeled UPS Amazon returns is a huge problem. The story from the owner and employees is that all boxes have to meet "UPS standards" and "the driver won't pick it up if it doesn't." I watched this thinly veiled crash grab a few days ago as the employee convinced a senior citizen who was already struggling to process an online return that she needed to buy a whole additional box, packaging materials, and pay additional fees to do her return, which was already sealed up in the original shipping box that was shipped by UPS in the first place, with the original UPS label still on it. I was next in line, and I ran into the same issue myself, with an employee claiming that they could not ship it in the original shipping box ("that's a product box"), even though it had originally gotten to me through UPS the same exact way. I left and went to another UPS service counter, which scanned and accepted it and provided me my return receipt with no issues. The return was credited by Amazon within 24 hours, and that is the end of it. EDITED TO ADD: The management's response below is totally off the mark. The product was in its original plain cardboard box, encased in heavy-duty foam inside the box. There were no parts moving around loose inside the box, nor was the integrity of the cardboard compromised. This is totally dishonest behavior by this UPS store, and consequently, I've revised my rating from two stars to a single star. As a result of this interaction, I will not be using this business again. There are many other UPS shipping locations throughout the state--find another one!

I surprisingly experienced some really poor customer service at this business…read more I sent an order of 4 thousand negatives and slides and asked to have 3 small test sets of the same 9 frames done first, to decide what I would like, 1 set 8 bit JPG, 1 set 16 bit TIF, and 1 set 16 bit 'flat' TIF. After surprisingly having to explain what a flat image is to a photo shop, they seemed to understand. But the 'flat' scans they sent me back were identical to the other normally processed 16 bit TIF default scans. They also failed to remove sharpening and grain reduction from the flat scan, which I specifically requested. Ok fine, they made a mistake, no big deal.. So I politely asked them to fix this one set of the flat scams (9 frames only!) and I even spent time to look up the two contrast settings they needed to adjust in the Noritsu software to get a flat scan. (Note I've never used Noritsu but it was easy to look up). Mike Ross the owner then phoned me and was so angry I could barely get a word in or finish a sentence. He seemed to suggest I was changing the order when I was simply helping them after it was apparent they didn't understand a flat scan, which is a pretty fundamental concept in scanning, nor did they even give me a 16 bit TIFF with no sharpening or grain reduction. Luckily this occurred on the test set and not the main order so I can send the negatives to a more knowledgeable (and hopefully pleasant to deal with) lab. I honestly don't understand how someone stays in business with this type of belligerent communication with customers.

When we needed ID photos for non-US documents, we couldn't find ANYONE who knew how to produce…read moreanything but the standard 2x2 US passport photos cranked out by the Mickey Mouse machines at most passport photo services. And then, like the hero riding into town, came Ross Imaging. What a lucky find that was! Not only was the service super friendly and fast, but Mike's level of knowledge about what's required for foreign documents was outstanding. This is a really sophisticated level of service. The results were great and they were exactly what we needed. This place is a treasure. We hope to use their services again and we'll tell everyone we know about the place. Super great job!
