I took the beef but the three ladies at my table preferred chicken so I paused to eat but figured with the delays that they wouldn't be coming soon and decided to eat. It took the sponsor of our event to tell the staff that there were three people at this table who needed a plate. By that time, I had already finished my meal, the server had taken my plate, and nobody was hungry anymore. We decided to go elsewhere for a meal after paying our respects to the family.
