It's about one city block from the beach/ocean. The building's west end is on the main drag , Butler Ave. and another adjacent attached beach rental on the oceanside or East end, another rental is to the north. The rooms at Pelican are very nice with all the amenities anyone would expect from a rental with full kitchen, 2 baths, 3 bedrooms and very nice living room with wood floors and nice balcony for morning coffee. Most of the normal supplies are there to utilize if needed. The walk to the beach takes about 5 minutes or less depending on how much stuff you want to take, including people. We were there with some of our gen-x kids and our grandson. Of course this was the little ones (2 1/2 yrs old) first visit to an ocean and all went well with that experience over about a weeks time. Tybee beach is a nice family beach, and we were there the 3rd week of May and left just in time to avoid most of the super crush of Memorial Day 2015. But Saturday and Sunday that last weekend the small town filled up for the first big weekend of the season. The Pelican provides spaces for 2 cars per unit, we only had one. Very close to most tourist shopping and attractions from ice-cream parlors, restaurants, bars and all kinds of beach and bike rentals. Across Butler Ave. is the Sunrise Cafe, probably for the locals as well as the tourist with classic traditional American food faire, open until 2:00 in the afternoon. It's a good deal. Needless to say in a tourist beach town the closer to a weekend and the summer after schools are out for the year, the atmosphere winds up in the overnight with a younger crowd, but during the day normalcy returns for the not so young and restless. The beach scene is great on Tybee, watching and playing the various tides daily. More than enough beach for any youngsters. We had any issues taken care of by Pat and whatever crew she summoned for anything that needed fixing or supplied. We got an extra light fixture for the living room, some more beach chairs and paper supplies plus a new shower curtain that didn't want to stay up. I'd recommend that when making reservations deal directly with Pat or Kathleen as going through TripAdvisor is such a trip if you know what I mean. I.E. Pat is not a robot. The Tybee Island Beach town has tons of eating places, some famous such as in ' The Crab Shack ' among other fun places, endless hiking and biking trails, wildlife viewing and many other features we never got to in one week but probably will in the future. Personally I got my quota of seafood dinners in, really tasty. So the place was very comfortable with nice A/C and plenty of room for the 5 of us. The little guy had a great time inside or on the beach. What else can I say, it was fun! I'd recommend folks wanting to stay a week stop by 2 islands in on the way to Tybee Island all kinds of stores from Walmart, Target and Publix are available to pick up supplies before setting up at your rental. That way you can get all the fixins when you're eating in instead of out. I'll give this place 4 stars, probably really gets busier in the summer as we were there in May, but weather was great and ocean water was warm, overall great stay.

A little background: we have hunted before and are both well-traveled, especially my father--we went on two African safaris, for instance. All our expectations were either met or exceeded by the fine facilities and staff at Wynfield. First of all and most importantly, the people--from the administrative staff and general manager to the cooks and guides--could not have been more gracious, personable, and accommodating from the moment we first called to the moment we left. We very much enjoyed talking with Kurt and our guide Randy, in particular. Since it was my first quail hunt, Kurt let me have a free Wynfield hat to commemorate the occasion--and they didn't charge me when I asked to buy a Wynfield coffee mug, either. The food was excellent and varied, and bottled water and soda were always on hand (and, after the afternoon hunt, beer, wine, and cocktails as well). Cold water and soda were even available--and frequently offered--while out on the hunt. Our cabin was likewise more than satisfactory, with cable TV, mini-fridge, coffee machine, toaster, central AC/heat, comfortable beds, and delightful interior decorating. It was also spacious and clean, and they provided housekeeping each day while we were out on the hunt. As for the hunting itself, it was by far the best hunting experience I have ever had. The quail are plentiful, the guides are extremely capable, and the dogs are simply amazing. They are also very flexible and accommodating when it comes to the hunt--they told me, for example, how they enabled someone paralyzed from the waist down to hunt from the jeep (there are seats out front on the jeeps for the hunters and kennels on the back for the dogs).

Upon entering the very small room, it was obvious that it had not been cleaned after the last guest (bedding stripped, pillows piled up on bed, etc.). On returning to the front desk, the clerk offered to go clean it up herself - stating that it would not take her more than twenty minutes. We were told that no other rooms were available. Not wanting a room that would be hurriedly cleaned, we opted for a refund and left to find a much larger, nicer and CLEANED room at another property nearby. The clerk was very apologetic but offered nothing for our convenience. No management was anywhere to be seen.

The flowers were completely wrong, and the coordinator--who was new--caused several issues, including handing out corsages and boutonnieres to the wrong guests. The timeline wasn't followed, and the flow of the event felt disjointed. My photographer even had to step in to help coordinate, which is definitely not part of her job. While I understand that the coordinator was new, it was still very frustrating, especially for the amount we were paying. My advice: choose the cheapest package and pick your own vendors for a smoother experience. The venue is beautiful, but the lack of professionalism and organization made for a stressful day.

This place is an expensive dump. The owners clearly don't care and are milking this chalet for every penny they can get. They are slum lords, full stop, and I wish we had carefully read the reviews of this disgusting place before we paid $6900 for a weeks stay. To be fair (and this explains the uneven reviews) there are a lot of chalets on site and some are in way better shape then others. Sadly the largest chalet (#62), and likely most expensive, is in derelict disrepair. Under no circumstances should you stay here, unless you wish a bag full of fleas, filth and black mold to take home as souvenirs of your "visit" to the Pine Mountain Resort Chalets.

Amber has been great and she even came to meet me at one of my properties before even doing business together. Their customer support has been very good and they make sure I'm in the loop when one of my properties is having an issue or when it's rented. The website they use is also very helpful and I can easily check on payments and rent roll via their user friendly platform. So far, so good! I have 3 properties that they manage and so far, so good. They charge like most other companies in the region 10% of rent and a little more for the first month.
