I purchased a home through Haskins Realty Company in September 2024. While the property initially appeared in good condition, after moving in I began to notice several issues that were not apparent during the buying process. These included, e.g., plumbing leaks, and a rat/ mouse infestation in the attic and walls of the home which is currently costing me health problems and thousands of dollar to resolve as of today. I reached out to the seller once I discovered these issues right after closing to discuss these concerns. Unfortunately, the follow-up and support after the sale did not meet my expectations. The communication process did not go very well, and some issues remain unresolved. I'm sharing this review to help other buyers be more aware and encourage thorough inspections and clear communication before finalizing a purchase. I owned my own home in 2008 when I met my husband and became an Army Wife. We got caught up with being newlyweds and what we'd do with that little house became an after thought. The bottom fell out of the economy and then we were literally STUCK with it. It ate away at our savings and after trying to sell it myself and then trying to use the "big" real estate company in town (they bragged that 80% of houses that sell in Columbus are sold by them...fat lot of good it did me) I tried giving Waddell a call. I explained that I was an Army Wife and the very nice receptionist referred me to Sandi who is also an Army Wife. Sandi called today to let me know that it's sold. She did everything for me even after I've moved on to our new duty station. She took time on the weekends to go check on my house since I'm 3000 miles away and was worried about. When things got held up due to some sort of red tape she kept me informed of the delays and what was causing them. If I wanted the thermostat turned down she went and did it. She's a freaking Angle for putting up with me and my worry and doing all the foot work that this sale required. I know that agents get a commission so you might think, "She was doing her job." but I really think she went above and beyond her job requirements. Sandi is AMAZING!!! We experienced so many road bumps in selling our home and what would have been one month took three months to finally get to the finish line. Being a military family, it can be difficult to be present to make sure things run as smooth as possible. I was really surprised to know our home was on the market for less than a week before we got offers! Sandi went above and beyond when it came to getting things done considering we were not present for this sale. She always kept us in the loop and ALL of the reasons that closing took three months was not on her part but she went out of her way to get any information that was needed for the other parties that were dragging their feet to get it.
