We requested quotes and got a response quickly. On Sight was on the lower end of quotes and James was the only person I spoke with who expressed concern for my family's safety and that with another storm coming in the tree could cause further damage to our property. I also appreciated that given the possibility of further damage, they got us in right away. James arrived when he said he would and clearly explained what he would do to remove the tree and all possible scenarios. He also gave us great information on why the tree came down and how we can prevent it from happening in the future. I was deeply impressed with his work ethic, knowledge about trees, and care for our property. I also love that for every tree On Sight removes, they plant another tree at a park or school. They do not come and give prices, ask you for photos and give an "estimate" - which is probably loaded as most people will see job and give actual price. They did another large property of weed and thorn bush removal for 8 hours and only charged $580 for that so I do feel cheated. On questioning when finished as the job wasn't as much as they thought, they back track with fuel, insurance, labour costs etc. I don't know many unlicensed, uninsured people making $340 an hour pulling weeds! I wouldn't recommend them based on the fact they charge what they feel and don't do quotes on seen jobs but estimates based on photos.

They were initially responsive - came out and measured the area and provided a bid for the work. However, when they came to do the work, they told us that they would need additional materials, increasing the bid by about 25%. Their installation of the plastic sheeting was ineffective and it rolled back the following day. After repeated discussions, they said they would come and repair it, but the repair was also substandard. We are hiring another contractor to finish the job. We would not recommend this contractor.
