This was the second time I returned to do my lashes and repair broken nails The first time I came, there was an unbelievable amount of gel on the bottom of my nails, which made my nails, terribly painful and uncomfortable. They didn't take the drill out or smooth it or anything just very sloppy very rough very aggressive. Because of the remodel, I was not able to get my scheduled fill for lashes I had discussed with management that when they would open that I would get my fill at a discounted rate or if needed a full set at a discounted rate. It seemed like today there was confusion and well I was given an eyelash technician. SHe was very aggressive very rough highly inappropriate she snatched the fan out of my hand after I told her that my eyes were sensitive and she responded by saying no your eyes are not sensitive She said your eyes aren't even watering. I said, excuse me, but these are my eyes and they're sensitive and she got glue in my eyes. She poked my eyes, and I had also heard her speaking about me in Vietnamese mixed with English. At this point, I was uncomfortable and asked her if she could complete it because I wanted to leave. I sat there for about an hour, listening to her talk badly about me in my face. She spoke badly about my skin. She spoke badly about my eyelashes, and she even spoke badly about my ethnicity. I expressed how uncomfortable I was an only paid because I was very upset and wanted to get out of there immediately because my eyes were in pain. I mean, they are dry. I have reached out and haven't heard anything back in response and I plan on contacting the board of cosmetology and I plan on getting a full refund but Hay if you want to go and get your nails done there is a guy and he actually repaired my nails really well in there, but everybody else is really rushed really rude. Also if you want to spend a lot of money and listen to people speak badly about you in Vietnamese because it's their establishment then go right on ahead but I'm licensed in and there's nowhere where it says you can't speak in your native tongue but why would you speak badly about paying customers? All I wanted was a simple shellac nail manicure. Looked pretty good, but had a decent size hard bump on my thumbnail which definitely had to have been felt when they put oil on my nails and rubbed it in. Whatever man. Already have a chip in another nail a few days later. Didn't feel like I was anything more than a dollar. I was friendly; asked my techs name, & was barely engaged with. No problem at least do a quality on an easy task. Super glad I didn't ask for a pedi as well... My favorite salon in Portland!! These ladies are so sweet and accommodating. I've never had any issues. Saka and Hailey do the most beautiful, perfect sets. Susu gave me the best pedicure ever. She paid attention to detail and got me looking right. I've been coming here awhile now and the service is always amazing! They also listen to you if there's something you want done differently, without attitude!! Which I feel like is rare at salons. This is truly my favorite nail salon and I refuse to go anywhere else. I booked a lash fill with them, sent Venmo for the entire service because I had all intention on attending the appointment but I ended up not being able to - the deposit isn't refundable but the rest of my money is - they have refused to refund the difference of what I paid stating I lost all my money I sent them. I walked in without an appointment midday on a weekday for a manicure and pedicure and was promptly accommodated without wait. The technician who did my pedicure was very pleasant and gentle. For the manicure I was moved to a different employee and while she was as gentle and pleasant, her paint job was sloppy and left nail polish on my fingers without clean up. But what makes me not recommend this nail salon is that I am not sure they sterilize their tools between clients. I know both the nail file and nail buffer looked previously used. I did a google search at the recommendation of another reviewer and found out that PDX Nails & Lashes was sued in March 2024 alleging that a client contracted genital herpes after a nail treatment. It also showed that the salon's other location was fined twice for health code violations. While I would have loved to support a local business that is so conveniently located, I will not be going back. read more

I got my nails done here, paid 100$, tipped 10$ and after 2 days they all fell off, they are very dirty, can't speak English properly and always speaking in their language. I post this review with sadness because I was so excited for a different experience after the previous owners really messed up my nails. I stopped going for a minute because the expectation for tips. Today I needed to relax while grieving for my mom on her bday. I was so excited to get top notch treatment. I called ahead to make sure I didn't have to wait. I chose the deluxe pedicure with shellac. I also needed one toe repaired. The moment she sat down she began filing while looking away at first that was OK. However, when she started clipping at my cuticles, and looking away, I politely asked if she could pay attention. I explained to her how rough my day was, and really just wanted to relax, she laughed and said OK. The inspector arrived and mayhem started. After hurting me, I politely bent over and told her I really need you to pay attention because you're hurting me. If you need someone else to do my pedicure, please get them she told me no laugh some more and kept going. Eventually, she got up and walked away. Then a second person came. She repeated what the first lady did more cuticle cream more clipping more filing then out of nowhere she got up and left. I sat there, frustrated and eventually started crying. I was embarrassed. I didn't want to cause a scene. The place was busy and I did not want to be that person. All I could think was this is why I stopped coming. Then the third person came repeated what the first and second person did. I stopped her and told her quietly the steps had already been done. The owner came and told me everything would be OK. I took a few deep breaths and close my eyes. She then began looking away while doing my feet I had to ask her to please pay attention while filing because I needed her full attention. 45 minutes into the appointment three people repeated the same steps, and the water was cold, and when I mentioned it, nothing was done I was completely ignored. However, you can see the tears rolling down my cheeks. The owner came and explained to the third person my mom died. It's her birthday and I'm having a rough day. I really appreciated that but at that point, I just wanted to finish and leave. After a few moments, she asked me if I wanted to get my nails done I said yes I had nails on and they told me it would be $10 to remove them so I remove them myself. After removing them I was told they couldn't do a full set so I'm sitting there no nails on feet halfway done back in tears trying to avoid causing a scene. When the owner walked away, the lady doing my feet said she could in fact do my nails. I declined the offer. She explained the chaos was because the inspector came. I told them I understand but I am paying for the best pedicure they offer and I just want that service the total for my pedicure plus one nail repair on my toe cost me $77 and because I understand I'm getting a service I tipped $10. My total was $87 never in my life have I paid $87 for a pedicure with bad service. Not that I expected it but I would at least thought she would have offered a discount now I'm home fixing my own nails in tears when all I wanted to do was relax. It pains me to say this, but do not spend your money here. They don't care about their clients only getting paid. read more

I've been coming to get lash extensions for years now. Only reason I kept coming here is because they were always able to get me in same day since my schedule changes all the time. Here's some things that I've noticed, lash techs do not wash their hands between clients, if they do wash, I noticed it's a quick rinse less than 5 secs. I'm not sure how sanitary they are with other things. Their fills takes only 30 mins. Which tells me it's more quantity than quality because I've noticed chunks of dried glue on my lashes which I don't believe it's supposed to have so much glue. One time I decided to do a pedicure after lash extensions, it took 45 mins total for lash extensions and pedicure as they seem to rush through my pedicure. Tammy also asks for cash which I did not like because customers should be able to pay however they like. One time I paid cash and the nail tech didnt care to give me my change back and expected it was all tip. I had to ask for my change back, she seemed annoyed but I was not going to leave her with good tip if she rushed through my pedicure. It's all a money making business and not great customer service when we pay lots of money to get pampered. I'm over it.. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I stayed more for scheduling convenience. read more
