This review is way overdue, but I would be remiss if I didn't let u all know that PDX Green Team was AMAZING in helping my daughter buy her house in 2017! (Yes, this review is way overdue)! She was only 24 & didn't know a thing so was overwhelmed but her agent Sarah Moon, was incredible: knew the market, was so proactive about finding homes for my daughter to view that fit her criteria. Once my daughter found a home, she liked, Sarah was excellent in helping her every step of the way to successfully close the sale as well as referred her to local contacts for hiring inspectors, arborists, handymen, etc. which saved my daughter so much time. Unfortunately, neither house worked out, but it purely because the market is insane right now. Our experience was quite different from these reviews. My fiance and I are out of state first time house buyers. We called pdx green team in April and got a callback from Sarah while she was driving which was a bit awkward and stressful for us. They arranged to go immediately into tours of 4 houses. Jessica and Sarah Moon came to meet us and they seemed nice. At the 4th and last house Sarah talked of a building project to happen next door and then snapped at us angrily when we asked a question of what type of building it might be. We didn't feel comfortable anymore thinking she wanted to leave so we tried to wrap it up but Jessica had taken the key and Sarah had to wait for her to return it. In the next 2 months while we were handling paperwork we exchanged a few infrequent emails about a few houses. There was good info in one or two emails and the rest were pretty anemic. We were given incorrect info about a fixer upper. That we only learned about because we had asked the same question through the redfin app. But we got an email from Sarah asking us not to contact the listing agent which we had not. With our paperwork done and a house we were interested in to see we requested a tour this week. She gave us a time which wasn't ideal for our work schedule and the 3 hour drive from Seattle but my partner did not feel like he could request a time that would be better for us. The day we were to meet I was sick and we needed to push back the meeting 1 hour and contacted Sarah. We were worried about the delay because we know how busy realtors are and the inconvenience to the sellers. After 3 hours we heard back and she seemed angry about me being sick but agreed to a video walk through. I'm not sure why she wouldn't offer that as when we first met they said they do video calls for out of state buyers. Sarah said we needed to book one week in advance for house tours. The Portland market is very fast and good houses get sold within 5 days so I wrote asking for a game plan on working with them in getting into see houses. If it takes one week to book with them just to see a house the house will have already gone pending. We asked which days we should aim for and if they wanted us to go to open houses first. I wasn't very happy to ask this because our very first thing we asked them was do you have time to show us houses. And they said they work in a team and have that availability. The next day we get an email from Sarah dropping us because they don't have time to show us houses. My advice to them is to not waste buyers time if you are already overwhelmed with clients. There are a lot of realtors in Portland and it makes no sense to take on a buyer when you know you have no interest in helping them. Don't snap at people it's unprofessional and frankly freaked us out. Try to remember we are people too, not just a commission and basic kindness and empathy go a long way. RESPONSE TO HILARY: Hi Hilary, although I stated this in my review I will reiterate it for you. We have only met Sarah and Jessica one time in person and were on time for all 4 house tours. For the second meeting scheduled this week we called, emailed and texted both Sarah and Jessica more then 3 hours in advance so that we could switch to a video tour. Why are you lying and saying we did not do this? We have the emails, call log and texts and so do Sarah and Jessica. The least Sarah could have done was text back and say let's do video. Our video tour was on time and unfortunately very fast because Sarah's phone battery was depleted. Sarah then asked for us to make an offer on a house that had more then $20,000 dollars of repair work and I did not feel comfortable doing that. She said she understood that but then the next email she said she was dropping us. It seems that you guys took us on wanting us to make offers on houses without stepping foot in them? I really don't know but there were more then a few red flags for us that this was not going to work. We wish Sarah and Jessica would have been honest upfront with what their situation was. Lindsay and team are the best | First time homebuyers from CA to OR I'm sitting here in my new home thinking about how amazingly smooth this whole transition has been, all thanks to Lindsay and the PDX Green Team. We seriously couldn't have done it without their help! It was about a 6-month process. I looked on Yelp for best reviews on a real estate agent/team that I knew I could trust and help us move from CA to OR. Here is a quick breakdown of why we were impressed with them: 1. Communication -- No matter what time or if one person was out of the office for a few hours, we always had a quick response via e-mail, phone, or text. We were always in the loop with every conversation. 2. Representation -- Lindsay is very professional and diligent every step of the way. As first time homebuyers, we felt really overwhelmed with the process. She was very patient with us and explained what things meant, what we needed to do, who we needed to be in touch with. We never had to worry or follow up with her throughout the long process. 3. Going the Extra Mile -- Since we were living in CA, Lindsay was our eyes for everything happening in OR. She drove out to Wilsonville (where we decided to live) several times to talk to important people in the process and to check up on our home. She took photos and videos and sent them via e-mail and dropbox to us that same day. I even asked for measurements for a couple spaces and she was able to do that for me. She also coordinated with home inspectors to conduct inspections during the home orientation on our behalf. Lindsay made everything much easier for us, so we're extremely grateful to have had her as our real estate agent. When we met her upon our final home inspection on move-in day, she had an eye for details that we didn't even see. I can't say enough excellent things about Lindsay. 4. Giving Back -- This team is awesome. They let you choose which organization you would like to have a portion of their commission donated to. We need more people like this in the world paying it forward. If you're on the fence with who to choose to best represent you, this is the place. We couldn't have made a better decision. We worked with Jessica Brunt and it was amazing. My wife and I are classically opposite in our approach to buying a house (I'm all logic and numbers, my wife is all emotion and feeling) and Jess was able to navigate both sides equally well. She was very clear about houses we should not waste our time looking at (although she would have gladly schlepped over to them) and she was open and honest about how big and small various concerns were. Once we picked a house we loved, she took over and helped us make an offer, evaluate a counter offer and counter back for a winning final deal. She set up all the inspections, worked with us to make sure we understood them and walked us through all the steps needed to close on our house. She even went with us to see the house while waiting for the close so we could measure spaces and make sure we knew where the furniture would go.
