We just bought our first home and Home Team was there every step of the way to guide us through the process and make it all super stress free. They didn't overwhelm us with a ton of information all at once, and let you know exactly what is needed when you get to each step. They were on top of everything for us and worked so quickly we were able to close on our home in less than 30 days. Kenny was especially helpful and very knowledgeable with telling us everything to look out for when checking out homes since we were first time home buyers. He was able to tell when I was confused about something and would give great examples to help explain how things work when we were going over all the terms while putting in our first offer. Home Team was very responsive, great communicators, and someone was always available to help us when needed. It was all a very smooth process and we would definitely recommend them! read more

Quick update since last year - in this insanely hot real estate market, Kenny and Home Team managed to help us find and negotiate our new dream home and we couldn't be happier. During the closing process, the entire team went above and beyond, helping us meet with contractors and calculate renovation costs before we even moved in. Now that we're closed, we were able to start renovations right away. Thank you Home Team! read more

I can't recommend Home Team highly enough. They have helped us buy two houses now and they are currently helping us sell our first house. I continue to be awed by their level of service and skill. Their team workflow model means we never have to wait long for answers to our questions, and every team member knows what's going on with our home search/sale at a given moment-- critical for this fast-moving, stressful real estate market. Home buying and selling is inherently stressful, and they make it so much less so... even fun! Kenny helped us write a strong offer throwing in terms I wouldn't have even thought of, and it was accepted even over higher priced offers. He also helped steer us away from homes we thought were a good idea but he has an eagle eye for structural issues and major red flags. This is the kind of expertise you want when making a huge decision. I fall all over myself to recommend Home Team to everyone I know. read more

As a first-time home buyer, I wanted to work with someone who would patiently answer questions, give me advice, and generally fill in expertise where I lack experience understanding how to review the construction and qualities of a home. The Home Team group was great. Plus, they have the team approach dialed in! Regardless of whether I ended up in touch with Kenny, Karin, Val, or others on the team, they were in the loop and ready to help with the next step. It was a great experience! read more

We had a fantastic experience with Home Team Realty. We recently sold our home in Portland while living out of state. Kenny and Val handled EVERYTHING for us. Our property had been rented for the past 5 years and needed some love. They arranged for contractors, cleaners, painters and stagers to get the house ready in a very short amount of time. It was seamless. Kenny and Val were also extremely responsive and took the time to explain the process to us. They are professional, expedient and wonderful to work with. We couldn't be more pleased! read more

Home Team Realty was just the right fit for us. Looking for a house in a market like Portland can be daunting. This group has extensive experience navigating home buying in this area. We were first time buyers with a specific budget and a neighborhood that we desired. They found us exactly what we were looking for and could actually afford. Kenny, Carrie and Val made each step of the buying process clear and answered the many questions we had. They also have a great working relationship with appraisers, mortgage agents, contractors and repair companies. 10/10 I would recommend them for buying and/or selling in PDX. read more

Look, I'm not even going to mince words, Home Team Realty is simply the most experienced and professional realty company around. But what makes them rise above is how personal and genuine they make the whole process feel. Like you were having a family member work for you, but a family member you actually liked. We first came to Home Team five years ago when we transitioned from a one bedroom apartment into our first townhome. I thought we were just lucky in how smooth and easy going everything was. Five years later, we are now transitioning from our townhouse into our first stand alone house, and again the process was so easy and stress free. I then realized it had nothing to do with luck, it had everything to do with the team of Home Team. We sold our townhome with them the first weekend we put it on the market, had 12 offers and sold for 30k over our original ask (our neighbors on the other hand went with a different realty company, and have been stuck trying to sell their home for well over a month now). Then with the guidance and expertise of Home Team, we were able to get our first offer accepted on our new house and ended up getting instant equity. There can be so much anxiety and complications that come with selling and buying a home, so seriously, give Home Team a call and let them put you at ease. read more

We had a great experience with the Home Team. We found them wandering around Portland and decided to walk into the office to talk about purchasing a house. It's not easy to find the right team to work with as first home buyers, but we were lucky! They have always been present and professional throughout the whole process. Thanks to their expertise and suggestions, we were able to get the house of our dreams in a VERY competitive market. I highly recommend them. read more

Home Team was recommended to us through our mortgage lenders and we were so impressed with them. This was our first home buying experience and they were so patient and helpful through the entire process. Returning e-mails timely, able to look at house we were interested as quickly as we needed to look at them. Their knowledge of zones, neighborhoods, structures is truly impressive. We were expecting a nightmare home buying experience, but honestly, we had FUN! When we finally closed on our home, we were actually sad because we wouldn't have daily correspondence anymore with them anymore. Ha! We genuinely can't wait to buy another house so we can use them again. I recommend them to everyone and will continue to do so. read more

My husband and I recently moved to Portland and were recommended to the Home Team by my brother-in-law. We have worked with 3 different realtors in the past decade for our personal home, land investment, and a remodeling flip and the Home Team has been the best of them all. We were a little hesitant at first with the Home Team's approach of working with the team instead of one individual broker; however, we were quickly impressed by the ease of communication and with the strengths of each member. They have great local and construction knowledge, and referred us to quality inspectors and mortgage brokers. We are now working with the Home Team on a second purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy in Portland. read more

This was our first time buying a home and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Home Team helped us identify what our realistic desires were in a home, then lead us to find a home that exceeded what we thought would be our dream home. We truly can't thank them enough for all that they did. I recommend Home Team to anyone looking for a home in Portland, you won't regret it! read more

Home team was fantastic! Their knowledge of Portland was perfect for helping us hone in on the house and neighborhood we really wanted. Their attention to our "asks" was spot on when showing us homes and got to know us so well that by the end of the process we always saw a home that fit our taste and budget. After we found our house they continued to provide excellent service throughout closing and have continued to be great resources and friends! read more

I've used Home Team Realty twice now, both buying and selling, and this Yelp review is not the first time I've recommended them. I can't speak highly enough about them, but I'll try: - Communication. Is there anything more important than this during the home buying or selling process? Things are constantly going on behind the scenes, and the homeowner or buyer is typically clueless. Not with these guys. Their responsiveness is superb. Whenever I had a question, somebody would usually reply within an hour. And throughout the process (both times) they were incredibly proactive keeping me in the loop. - Professional. No matter how quirky of a question I had, and regardless of the situation, they embodied professionalism and respect. - The whole team is also just a joy to work with on a personal level. It's important to like your realtor team. We like ours a lot. - Experience. With backgrounds ranging from the mortgage industry to law, I have been impressed during both transactions with the level of knowledge they had over some pretty nuanced circumstances. Wonderful experiences both times. Kind of makes you bummed once the deal closes and you don't have an excuse to work together any more... Thank you Home Team! read more

The Home Team provided us expertise, professionalism and customer service beyond what we could have imagined or hoped for. They quickly understood what was important to us when looking for a home to purchase, found several great choices, and walked us through every important step in the purchase process. Through it all, they kept us in the loop on every important development. They were always available and responsive to our questions, usually replying within the hour. From our first meeting, through home tours, all the way through closing, the Home Team made us feel like we were their most important client. The proof is that we just closed on a beautiful home in an area we love - thanks to them! read more

The Home Team Realty Team is outstanding! As a transactional attorney in Portland, I have clients frequently needing help buying or selling real estate. Home Team Realty is my go to referral. They provide an outstanding level of customer service and go the extra mile to take care of the client. Additionally, they are incredibly knowledgable of the Portland area market and are always on the lookout for what my clients are looking for. I would recommend them to anyone and will be using them personally on my next real estate purchase. read more

This was our first experience with selling a home, and we feel grateful and lucky to have worked with Carrie and her colleagues at Home Team. They were clear and specific with their recommendations of what we needed to do for our home to be most attractive to potential buyers, and we did our best to fully follow their instructions. They set the price point at a reasonable level, which I think brought many people in to view the home, and they were very responsive during the open houses showings of the home, and quick to troubleshoot any issues that came up. Their advice on negotiations with potential buyers was solid, with an eye toward reducing our risk even if it meant a smaller commission overall for them. Our home wound up with 8 offers, after just 5 days on the market, and sold for almost 20 percent above the asking price, which was far more than we had expected. I cannot imagine how we would ever have done this on our own, and I fully credit Carrie and her team for making what could have been a painful process relatively straight-forward and calm. I will be recommending them far and wide. read more

We just closed on a property with Home Team this week--they were beyond helpful at every stage of the process. It constantly seemed like they were ahead of the curve and knew exactly how to handle every twist and turn in the process. Without them, I'd imagine we would have felt entirely lost and overwhelmed. We loved how they worked as a team and how someone was always available to answer our questions as they came up. We couldn't be more excited to give our highest recommendation to The Home Team! read more

We found Home Team through our mortgage broker--so by the time we talked to them we had our financing as secure as was possible in advance of identifying a property. We also knew the market well and didn't have unrealistic expectations. Because of this, and luck, we had our first offer accepted after a relatively brief search (1 week), so the bulk of our interaction with Home Team was maneuvering the logistics of closing, at which Home Team excelled. We closed on-time, without event, and extracted a small remittance from the seller for the few minor repairs needed. They made a complex process relatively easy for us. Very pleased! read more

Being first time home buyers we were terrified on what we were going to have to deal with. I talked to so many people about different realty companies and everyone had their "THEY ARE THE BEST" story. We decided to go with my buddy Andy's story and go with the Home Team Realty team and could not be happier. As soon as we went in to meet Carrie and Michele we knew it was a great match. We knew what we wanted and they made sure to find us what we wanted. We were on a mission to buy a place fast and not drag our feet. Looked at probably 25 homes in the matter of 2 weeks and they were always there to work with our schedule. Andy and Michele were always accommodating and kept us in the loop with the house viewing schedule and thoughts on homes and neighborhoods. We got a home on our second offer and the closing process with inspections and everything was super smooth and quick. I could not have asked for a better experience through the entire thing. Thank you again guys and sorry it took so long for us to write a review. Been busy enjoying our house! read more

We are about to close on a property TheHomeTeam found for us. It's been the best real estate experience we've had: - They really do work as a team. It's not an empty platitude often thrown around by other agencies. The frequent handoffs between them were seamless. We never felt we were starting over with another team player. We worked mostly with Kenny and Jessica but also with the Carrie. Mellisa, and Michele. The teamwork also allows them to have sane family lives too. If I ever want to be a Realtor, I'll be begging them to let me join them. - They fully understood our needs and stayed in synch with us -- even though I am (not my sensible wife) a little scattered getting excited about the latest shiny opportunity. - We were also very pleased with their research and knowledge of the market and the different areas of Portland. - And they are prompt! On email, by phone, for requests to see a home, etc. That teamwork thing really worked. - They are pretty nice people too and wouldn't mind having them as neighbors. I cannot recommend this team enough. We worked with Home Team Realty for selling and buying this year. When we first had the idea to sell they came over to tour the property and gave us suggestions for improvements to raise the value. Throughout the remodeling process they were very supportive and ready with recommendations when we didn't know what finish to choose or needed to pick a painter. Once we got the house ready they were very informative about the next steps. Throughout the selling and hunting and buying processes we felt very informed and like we had a team behind us, especially when we were dealing with difficult interactions with realtors from the other side of things. read more
