As far as the service goes, Stromfront resembles an Apple store with open layout and all the Apple products out and available to play with. There are helpful staff around, also dressed in 'Apple shop blue' though they're not officially geniuses! Staff knowledge of their products is also medium with a few who clearly know their stuff but the majority just having rather basic knowledge in electronics but rather more training in how to upsell customers. I did hear some rather dubious advice given to other customers and perhaps even one or things which rather ummm stretched the truth I like to look at products firsthand and then check the online price before using that price to haggle them down. If I don't get the desired discount, I then go and get it online but I try to offer high street retailers the chance to earn my pound first as I like to support them if I can do so. And yes, you can haggle at a big retail chain Oh and another thing - you can get much better deals on PCs not at PC World. I bought a TV streaming box there today and after waiting around for ages for a staff member to come and serve me, he then disappeared to check the stock. When he returned, after what seemed like an eternity, the 'lad' from the stockroom had brought the wrong box! He went off to get the correct one and the original salesman apologised and knocked a tenner off the price for all the inconvenience caused to me. Only shop here if the price is irresistible and I suggest you buy it click and collect so at least you'll know that the item is in store.
