Owner denied and stated that I must have changed the drive prior to bringing it back for repair 6 months after I purchased it. A Crook and a liar. No wonder PC city in hazlet has moved to three different towns in 5 years. THEY USE REMANUFACTURED PARTS! STAY AWAY!

I went to PC City to have my laptop repaired; it needed a new fan and a new battery…read more I had to wait longer than projected because they "didn't check the mail"; I had to go in to have them find the parts. They theoretically fixed it. However, they also got glue all over the keyboard and ruined the screen. I made them replace the screen. They refused to clean the glue. I have a one year guarantee. I went back within a week because the fan wasn't working. The computer was getting hot enough that it was burning me!!! When they opened it up they found lots of small pieces of plastic. They cleaned it out and told me that it would work now. I asked them how the plastic got there when they were the ones doing the work and no one else opened it. They didn't have any real reply. (By the way? It doesn't. I still get burned.) I went to get the newly fixed computer and saw that they lost or broke a small piece of my molding on the left side of my laptop. When I brought this to their attention, the only thing they had to say was that it was just cosmetic and would not affect the running of the computer. After a long conversation/argument, they agreed to replace the part free of charge. I was to be contacted before the end of the week and they would replace it. I was never contacted. I contacted them, I asked for the owner to contact me. He never did. I called to make sure he was there when I was told the owner would be; he wasn't in. I went in and was told that I should call or write whomever I want; I wasn't going to get the part. So. Not only doesn't the fan work, but the battery only holds a 45-60 minute charge. When it was new, the battery went 4 hours before recharging. I'm pretty sure that the replacement parts were used. I have a computer with a poor battery, poor fan, glue on the keyboard and missing a piece of the outside. These people are terrible and no one should ever have to go through what I did.

They have resolved our soft and hardware issues very timely and efficiently. Thus we are able to operate smoothly knowing that their help is a call away if needed. I support their business.

I discovered this shop off a basic google search for the area I was in at the time. I initially…read morespoke to one of the tech reps, a gentlemen by the name of Kyle. The exchange was very professional. No arrogance or condescension, just clear comms on what my issue was and what they could do to resolve it. I vetted some other shops in the area as well. Linx 8 pricing was very reasonable in comparison. I believe a big part of that was the free diagnostic on my computer. In many other tech shops, a diagnostic, by itself, will run you upwards of $40 to $50. So that was already key indicators in terms of value add. Also, the work they do on your computer is automatically covered under warranty, so that was reassuring as well. Full disclosure: at the time of writing this, I'm still having them trouble shoot an issue on a computer they worked on for me, but it's very minor. However, the original work they did for me was solid, and the customer service was top notch (very consumer-centric), which, in my experience, is key in these sorts of things. So, for all the reasons mentioned above, I'd definitely recommend giving them a go if you're having any computer issues. The owner, Ali, is also very understanding, and threw some stuff in free of charge to get the job done. If you go here, you'll likely get more value than you paid for.
