My night was ruined when I was harrased by one of PBR's RACIST Bouncer! I was out Saturday night( April 7th, 2018) with my coworkers to celebrate one of their birthdays. The dance floor was fun, the barteneders made drinks fast and were pretty cool. The night was going good until this bouncer came up and threatened to kick my ass. I am Indian and have nothing against other ethnicities including caucasian but I felt an unwelcome presence from this dude. I initially was making conversation with a girl. We were just talking like normal people then suddenly, two white guys who know her stepped in the way and told me to move along. I asked if they are dating her and they said no. Then I asked whats the big deal and stop being a butthole. A bouncer came out of nowhere and butted in. It was not his business. He was bald and had a goatee and tattoos...Looked like a skinhead. He said "those are his friends...He was gonna fuck me up, He does'nt like my kind of people... I better move along." I smirked and with confidence I said "Im not here to cause trouble, Im gonna walk away" and smiled. As soon as I turned my back and started walking, He grabs my arms. I pushed him off and told him not to put his racist ass hands on me. A bunch of bouncers come and told us to leave. I did nothing wrong! I grabbed my jacket and we started walking out. I look at the racist bald skinhead bouncer who harrased me and as soon as we make eye contact again, he pushes through the crowd to try and take a swing at me!!!! What is this guy's problem!! He did'nt like it that I wasnt acting submissive toward him but rather standing my ground. For him it was about trying to overpower me but I did'nt take his shit and he couldnt let that go!He was completely unprofessional, racist, and out of hand! UNACCEPTABLE. I cant belive this establishment allows this sort of behavior! DISGUSTING!!!!!!! People like this bouncher are examples of what is wrong in this country! I love this place. My friends and I get in free bc we get a hook up from one of the servers ;). But yeah big dance floor (its not ALL country music) they played the Harlem shake last week when I was there. So funny all the dancers on the tables went nuts. They play like the lonely island and top songs too. It was pretty cool though they have this long patio so you can go out and smoke around fire pits. Not to mention you can actually sit down out there. I get so frustrated when we go other places where the patio is crowded and my heels are killing me lol. The bartenders are extremely busy, but I have to say its a good thing. they always notice me and I don't have to wait 15 mins to get my drink. The girls there are actually really nice. I fully expected them to be rude stuck up girls dancing on tables... but no, one danced with me and pulled me away from some creepy guy trying to make a lame attempt to dance with me. They are having fun with you I can say that. Bouncers are pretty chilled out too. They don't look angry and one helped me get through a crowd of people without a thought. It was defiantly ladies first ;). Also may I add the bathrooms are CLEAN , I cant stand going somewhere where it seems every toilet is covered in something 0.o. I really appreciate the lay out too. the lady that hands out towels in there sets up body spray, hair spray deodorant and feminine hygiene products for you to use. I give it 5 stars especially bc its just as good if not better that the clubs in VA beach. also its closer so I don't have to waste most of my night planning ahead to go out. read more

I will never give this place a dollar of business. The short story is the wanna be secret service security staff, (ear piece and all) have giant chips on their shoulders. And the small staturged manager had a worse attitude than the bouncers. Myself and a few of my respectful, well dressed, tax paying coworkers went there on a Saturday night. The place was our first stop and we had not had anything to drink. After they happily took our cover charge money and served us a round of beers they told one of my coworkers that he had to leave. We were completely baffled over the whole thing. I asked the bouncer why my friend had to go, and his response was because of personal reasons. What??? I explained to him that we had just got to town and had never set foot in that place, so how on earth could they have an issue with him?? I have never experienced something so bizarre in my life. After visiting this website and reading other reviews, it looks like they have a pattern of treating their patrons like trash. It will eventually catch up to them. P.S. We went to their competitors bar named after a famous country singer, had a great time, and the service staff was excellent. read more

I have never been so disrespected. The service is GREAT. The waitresses and music is GREAT. The food is GREAT. The bouncers? NO. In fact, we will NEVER return to PBR, as awesome a place as it is. Their bouncers are confrontational and rude. Our friend was initially confronted, and they wanted to make sure he wasn't drinking too much. Fair enough, he was drinking a fair amount. But then they proceeded to stalk every person at our table. We had one at the table behind us, one at the corner of the bar, and one near the entrance, each one watching every move every person in our party made. They decided to cut our friend off (the waitresses and other patrons made no complaints, and happily continued to serve us). Shortly after, they kicked him out. NOT ONCE did he say anything offensive or rude to anyone there, he did not fight anyone, he just sat at the table with us and talked TO ONLY US while swaying in our chairs to the beat. I understand had he been out of control and cussing, but he was not. He was respectful and stayed to himself. If this is what they call customer service, then we will gladly take our money elsewhere, where at least we are /respected/ customers. read more

Most insane story: I'm a Pre-Med Student and have been to PBR 5 total times. -My last time I was there I: #1) Arrived at PBR at 11pm #2) Had a reserved table=$250 #3) Total Bill=$600 (including bottles + table) #4) Was accused at 12:15am for "Snorting cocaine and smoking crack cocaine in the bathroom" Which I did not do and was thrown out. So I downloaded the yelp app because I couldn't believe what happened and want everyone to know my story. This is the most immorale establishment. I will continue to spread the word to the entire DC Maryland and Virginia community including the entire country. Do not go there. Do not support PBR it is run by bad & dishonest people. PBR is a corrupt establishment. Avoid PBR at all costs. They are racist, and sexist. The staff is unprofessional in their behavior. They are twisted/untrustworthy crooks and criminals. I never thought such a disgusting thing would have happened to me. I never thought I would ever have yelp either until this untrustworthy criminal experience by the PBR establishment. This place sucks. Got thrown out because we were told we were causing a disturbance and all we were doing was debating football with another patron and he also told the bouncers there was no problem. Any bar that has cops just sitting in cruisers next to the front door is a good sign to stay away. Way too much authority around the whole atmosphere.. One of those places where if you were completely sober and bumped your first drink over they would probably throw you out. Bouncers there are bunch of tattooed chubs with a chip on their shoulders. Just read other reviews about this place and you'll notice that the staff will just randomly kick people out for no reason, basically if you have any bit of buzz and aren't just sitting there quietly staring at your drink then you've got a great chance of being kicked out and most that get kicked out get arrested for public intox as soon as they hit the sidewalk. Its very far from a country bar and I would never give my money to a place like this that treats its patrons with such disrespect. read more

I come here often.I always have a great time when I come here. Ever since my girlfriends and I booked a bachelorette party here last may with Danielle Watkins, we always come to this area. We get the all access wrist band deal ( like 2 extra bucks and we can go to Luckies and NASCAR bar if we want to). We always get come in a little early because they offer a free Buffet. Its not typical bar food though, they seem to go all out with the free buffet. They have this giant bullpit in the middle close to the dance floor. Ive never seen anything like it. Everyone gets on that thing and we can lean on the side and people watch lol. Im telling you its the funniest thing. The bouncers aren't over zealous or pushy. I always have a great time here. Mainly its close, its cheap, the food is always on point and most of all its loud! I recommend coming here no matter what its entertaining. read more

Went there a couple of times and just found out that Anthony one of the bull operators has been seeing my wife for awhile now. If you are married I wouldn't recommend this place. Some of the staff is nice but it has gotten worse under the new management which let's the guy staff do whatever with the women there. Husbands watch your wives there. I will not be going there ever again as long as these policies are in effect! read more
