The two ladies who work here are incredibly kind and welcoming. Their customer service is honestly wonderful, and I really appreciate how nice they are every time I come in. Unfortunately, I've had an ongoing issue with the strong chemical smell on my clothes after dry cleaning. The odor is very overwhelming and unpleasant. I brought the clothes back and asked if they could redo them to help remove the smell, but unfortunately it didn't make a difference. I've been coming here for years, but in the past year something has changed. I'm concerned about the type of chemicals being used because the scent is so strong, and I worry that harsh cleaning products could potentially damage my clothes over time. My clothes are left with a terrible headache causing smell, I've needed to take back items because of how bad it is. I used to use them for dry cleaning, and they were good. That being said, this review is for Payless Alterations. It's the adjoining business. I took in a pair of new Dickies brand overalls today. The zipper broke - after 3 wears! I know this is more of a Dickies quality problem, but the sign says "zipper" and "all kind of fix"!!!! So, I took them in. They turned me away. Didn't try, didn't quote me a price, nothing. Now, my Mom and Aunt are fixing everything. I didn't want my visiting mother to do it? I wanted to pay an Alteration business to do fix them! I have been coming here for years, and quality has gone way down in past year. In the last 3 weeks and multiple drop offs, 3 pair of light colored pants remained stained. Was told "nothing we could do and that they tried". Brought them home after paying the $6/pair and threw them in the wash after spraying with "Spray & wash", and stains came out perfectly and didn't need pressing. Then another pair of pants that have a side button on each side and one is now missing after picking them up (they hung in hanger so that side didn't show). Officially done going here. read more

The hole left in my sweater defeats the purpose of dry cleaning my clothes so that they'll last longer. The lady said she can sow it but it'll leave my sweater with a pinch look, other than that she said there's nothing she can do. I just switched cleaners to a more convenient location to my home. I went to put on my favorite shirt this morning and there were several bleach marks all over it. It was ruined. I took it back to the cleaners and they claimed that it was not their fault. The shirt was in perfect condition when I dropped it off to the cleaners and it has been wrapped in plastic in my closet until this morning when I went to put it on. They are taking no responsibility. They are not compensating me for the cost of my shirt. Never go to this cleaners. They will ruin your things and you will have no recourse. read more

Went here yesterday hoping they would be able to get the tap off my velvet comforter, she said let me try something and got a lent roller and began rolling and pulling on my comforter and well doing so she ripped my comforter! I went there one time, because the front window display showed that they will dry clean shirts for $2.75 per shirt. When I returned to pick up my dry cleaning, I was told that dry cleaning for shirts was $4.00. The gal explained to me that the price listed in their window was pre pandemic and that price had increased to $4.00 per shirt. Do not take your clothes here!!! They ruined one of my favorite shirt by cutting it on the side. It was literally a new shirt, maybe wore it 2 times. Took it h here to get dry cleaned because I love crisp white button down shirts. When I picked up my shirt and tried it on to go out, I noticed there was a slit on the side of my sleeve. I took it back to them immediately and they refused to take any responsibility and suggested the slit was there. I assured them that this is a new shirt wore it twice, never even washed it. Still refusing to take any accountability for it. When I asked that they fix it otherwise reimburse my shirt they reluctantly said they will try to fix but can't guarantee how it is going to come out. The ladies there are very unprofessional and very loud and rude. Anyways I just picked up my shirt and this is the best they can do? I paid over $250 for this shirt so I told them they are technically liable for destroying my shirt. Again they said the slit was there before. I told them usually dry cleaners will inspect shirts to make sure there are no damages to the shirt so that they won't be liable but they shrugged it off and refused to even acknowledge my point. I asked if I can talk to the owner and they said "owner not here" I asked if they can give me the contact information. They refused. I said ok I'll give you my contact information and you can contact the owner and have her call me back immediately. They said they don't have the owner's contact information. Does that even make sense? I mean I'm Asian too so I'm not a racist when I say this but these Asian ladies lack fundamental logic. How does that even make sense? I demanded a contact information and Elaine gave me the business card of the dry clean facility as the owner's contact and told me to call. As I got in my car I called the number Elaine gave me and Elaine got the phone. I was so frustrated and said, I thought you were giving me the owner's number, she yelled," I'm very busy" and hung up the phone. I rushed back in there and she basically yelled at me and told me to never come back. I have never been to an establishment that treats customers in this manner. My husband used to take ton of his clothes there so we were actually regulars there. Which is more shocking because if I was an owner of a dry cleaners and my regular customer said her shirt was ruined, I would take care of her and make sure our relationship is still in good standing. These ladies have no idea how to run a business and in fact I think they are the owners but just didn't want to deal with it and made up that they just work there so they don't have to take any responsibilities. Do not take your clothes here. I am out a perfectly good white shirt. Truly if they had said I'm truly sorry how can I make this right, I actually would've been more accepting of this as mistakes happen. I was pretty surprised to see the negative reviews on Yelp as I first looked this cleaners up. I live just minutes from here so this has been the number one stop for me. Price wise, I think the price is pretty cheap and fair, it's not easy for small businesses in today's economy as you can see. I'm here about twice a week to have my shirts, jeans and pants cleaned and I'm happy with the results. Customer service is a plus too; the ladies are nice and friendly. Parking wise, I think it'd get a bit busy on the late afternoon weekends because of the restaurant near by. But it only takes a few minutes to pick up your clothes so I don't really think it's a major problem. Would recommend to a friend :D read more

I love this place. They have an excellent dry cleaning service. Their prices are very reasonable. For instance, to clean a press a dress shirt it only costs $1.25 and to dry clean most skirts, blouses, dresses, etc. only costs $1.75. They also have an express service. So if you need to get your clothes quickly they can work with you. I think it's one of those things where you have to get it in before a certain time that day. But the usual turnaround time for my clothes isn't that long. I don't wear dry cleanable clothes that often, so I'm never in a hurry to get them back. The only thing I wish is that they were closer to my home. I guess I just have to put up with this dry cleaner being close to my work instead. read more

I had some tough oil stains on two pieces of clothing - they removed the stains 100%. I also did alterations there. Boy, you get what you pay for! One my newer shirts that I wore less than 5 times came back with black puffy stains on the left collar, back collar, and left cuff. I knew right the way that the stains were done by the cleaner because of the strange locations and I don't play with dirt at work! I went back and showed them the stains. They were very defensive saying that they didn't do it. Customer service? What customer service? They said "oh, I remember.... we didn't even wash these shirt, we just pressed them. You brought 20+ shirts right?" I was like what the heck! I paid you to launder/press and now you tell me that you did not even wash my shirts. I was so upset and just took my shirt back. AVOID THIS PLACE! They deserve MINUS stars!! I wore an expensive silk dress for only about 5 hours and brought it in to be dry cleaned (because I had worked up a sweat during those 5 hours). The dress came out of the shop four days later with THREE big stains in the front!!! Of course they denied ever having to do with the stains, said the material stains easily (bullshit), and they don't guarantee anything. They begrudgingly agreed to clean it again - I haven't gotten it back yet, but I'm not holding my breath. The dress is basically ruined if those stains don't come out. I'm not asking for a guarantee. I have been going to Payless Cleaners for 10 years. It really started based on price and convenience - and they allowed me to write checks. They were okay, but I always felt like the lady in the front took care of me. A few months ago the great lady that I came to know was no longer there and I learned that she was not coming back. Unfortunately, the new gal really took me to the cleaners with my most recent dry cleaning - charging $6 each for each dress x 2. At that point, I was done. They are not that good to be able to charge me premium dry cleaning prices at an okay facility. I am now at Riviera cleaners because it is closer to my house, the reviews are great, and I discovered that I would have saved $10+ on my last bill. I would take my clothes here again if I had to. NO! I've taken shirts to get pressed here and they've come back wrinkly. I've taken ties to get stains removed and they come back noticeably faded in the stained spot. I've taken jackets to get repaired here and they rip in a week. Sure it's cheap, but I would rather have my clothes actually feel clean and pay .50 cents more per shirt. My go to place for cleaning! I've been coming here for years now because I work near the area. Service is great and the prices here you cannot beat! I love how they give me tips on how to get rid of stains when they occur right away because from experience, I know some stains are impossible to clear especially when they are left over a long period.. Tip: I usually pay with cash but they do accept credit cards here with a charge of 50 cents. And the best times are to come on weekdays, because on weekends the place tends to get packed. read more

First I wanna say we were long time customers. My wife's family and friends introduced us to this place and they had been going here for dry cleaning services for a while. I don't wear suits often, just for special occasions like weddings. I had a new Hugo boss suit I wore maybe three times. I dry cleaned it and we'd been going here for so long that I trusted them to do a good job. My first mistake was that I didn't check when I picked it up. I've just never done that since we've never had issues and like I said we trusted them. Well I go to wear my suit for a wedding a few months later and I notice the front button and buckle of the pants are all shredded like a dog chewed on it or it was out thru a shredder. I went to complain about it but they said their policy was if I don't point it out before I leave the store when picking up they can't do anything. They offered to add some fabric and sew it on. It's a designer suit are you kidding me?! So now I'm left with a suit that I can't wear. Guess that's how they treat loyal customers here. Never coming back and I've told family and friends to avoid this place too! Very disappointed in how they handled this.
