After last winter, we are getting an early start on refilling the woodshed. When our limbing saw had personal issues starting, we took it in to Ak Specialty Equip for some TLC. I am in my mid 70s and was struggling to use our heavy saw for limbing, After a couple weeks my husband stopped at the shop to check on it. The counter man found my saw in the pile and immediately checked and adjusted it until it was leaping into life on the first pull. And he showed Dick how to tweak it if the saw misbehaved again. Cheerful excellent service and I am grateful to be back in the woods cutting our winter's wood again. Thank you.

I called Jewell to discuss this and how I might get it fixed. Alex told me to hold tight and they would resolve the issue. He sent Doug back out to pick up the machine and they took it back to the shop, repaired the throttle lever and checked out the unit again under 'load condition'. Doug then returned the unit to my home and came with me while I personally checked it out in my garden to ensure I was happy with the tiller. All of this in less than a day. I really appreciate both Alex and Doug at Jewell Equipment in Wasilla. They truly stand behind what they sell!

About 4-15-21 I ordered a part from AER. The person I spoke with was Charles, (very helpful). He…read moresaid he needed my credit card number to place the order. When I inquired as to the cost, Charles said he would call me with a total before charging my card. He called me a day later and said he would run my card for $496.00. I gave permission for this amount. A few days later, I received the part. On my bank statement I saw he ran the card for $664.20. I called Charles and he said he would look in to the matter and get back to me; he did not. I called AER and spoke to Tommy, (the manager). He said he would look in to the matter and get back to me, he did not. After multiple attempts and messages to reach Tommy; we spoke on 5-7-21. He gave me the 'run around'. Bottom line: Do not give AER your card for payment, they WILL rip you off. Pay cash or write a check if you must to business with them.

We have utilized Dakota Diggers for the last two years, renting equipment needed for big projects…read more Summer of 2017, we rented a cement mixer and a huge auger with an 8" bit. We rented on a Saturday for a full day which means it's ours through Sunday too, since they're not open on Sunday. They oblige you by leaving open locks on chains outside to return items on Sunday, since equipment is due back by 8am Monday morning. When returning all of that, there wasn't anywhere to put the auger bit safely chained up, so we kept it and I called Monday morning to let them know and they were very appreciative that we didn't just leave it. Last week we reserved a 6" wood chipper on Saturday and were allowed 8 hours of actual usage, which they have a Hobbs meter on several pieces of equipment to track the usage. The first chipper we hooked up to didn't work right, a belt seized and we ended up hooking up to another. The owner let me know that sometimes chips get stuck and cause that problem when they're being hauled back and to call if we had any problems; I was assured he'd come fix it if need be. The young man helping out topped off the fuel before we left and we were on our way. The chipper, like the auger and cement mixer helped us out immensely and we pushed through our projects. Dakota Diggers offers a huge selection of tools to rent, large and small and decent rates. They also offer trucking and sale of rock and dirt as well. We will continue to use them as we need machines while doing the hardscaping on our property!

I brought it to their attention immediately and was immediately treated rudely and essentially was told I was lying and that there is no way that could have happened. I explained that I saw the rock fly at me from the box, but they dismissed anything I said. I expected they would have offered to submit a claim through their insurance or perhaps offer to help pay for the repair. I used to be a customer, as I prefer to hire local companies, but I will never ever give business to these people who treat other people that way again.
