The front desk assured me they could do the style and asked me to provide a reference photo when dropping him off. I did exactly that, confirmed with them multiple times, and even told them to call me if they weren't able to do it. They reassured me it would be no issue. Fast forward to pick-up--I was absolutely horrified. The haircut was nothing like what I asked for. It looked like the groomer completely ignored the reference photo, and worst of all, they didn't even bother calling me to discuss alternatives before butchering my dog's fur! I've posted before-and-after photos, including the style I requested so you can see for yourself how much of a disaster this was. The amount of hair they chopped off is shocking. The haircut I initially requested which Aloha agreed to. I won't be returning for grooming services, and I do not recommend Aloha Pet Resort & Spa if you care about how your pet is groomed! P.S. The photos are not displayed in the proper order. The images of the dog being groomed is what Aloha agreed to make him look like, the images with long fur laying down is what he looked like prior, and the images of him standing with short fur is what Aloha gave me.

Upon the recommendation of my vet, I gave Dawn at Dusk-to-Dawn a call. The first time her team watched my dogs, it went great. Very happy. The second time I used them, which included overnight and daytime visits I was ECSTATIC. She has a team of highly capable, engaged employees who spent the needed time and attention on my pampered pooches. The house always looks great when I get back and the minor chores like bringing in the mail and paper saved me a lot of legwork getting ready for vacation. But, wait....there's more. This time, I had a major airline fail and spent 28 hours traveling instead of 6. I was in a panic and needed another overnight stay by her sitter and I wasn't sure if I'd hear back in time to get on the next endless leg of my flight. Well, Dawn to the rescue! She got a sitter, sent her over on VERY SHORT NOTICE and my pooches were again well-cared for. Rarely does a business fully live up to my high standards - Dusk-to-Dawn does and I will never use any other service. Professional, responsive, and trustworthy. It doesn't get any better than that!

My journey boarding at Camp Run A Mutt is probably circumstantial but there are items that I…read morebelieve anyone boarding at any location should know. First - I normally board at Taylor Vets in Cedar Falls where our dog goes. Maybe they are just so great at customer service and understanding that anything less seems out of sorts. I emailed on May 19th asking for the dates I wanted. When I did this and was told it was open I thought I was good. When boarding there are rules and processes that are very overwhelming, especially when there last minute things going on as well as being the one responsible to make things happen. Anyone that knows me , knows I ask a ton of questions and that for the most part I'm pretty thorough. I like verbal communication, short lists are the way I retain information. So I was surprised that after I went through all the hoops to even get my dog to be considered that they didn't have me down for the dates I had originally picked. This was a day before I was to leave that I found out and it was a holiday. Some would say why didn't you check. Maybe it was because I felt the 3 times I was physically there along with conversation about what I needed, it would be on the books. Taylor Vet could only watch her for 1/2 of our vacation, so I had to coordinate pick up and drop off while I was on vacation. I know I specifically stated this. My intention was to have our dog picked up at 3:30 from Taylor Vet and then dropped off at camp run a mutt after. Good thing I called the morning my friend was going to drop her off because if I had not she would have had her boarding cancelled. All dogs if boarding need to be there by 12 pm. I was pretty upset to say the least since verbally no one mentioned this. It is in the contract and on the website as well. (Not as thorough as I thought) Rules I have not experienced at Taylor Vet. I also do believe like humans all dogs don't like to be around other dogs all day long where relaxing isn't an option. Camp Run A Mutt does have a nice facility. The gals seem to like the dogs, however a check list for new boarders making the "need to know items" stand out. So here it is: Plan at least a 1 - 2 months ahead of time. Your dog will need to go through a 15 min test, then come back another day for at least 6 hours, but in between all this they need the flu shot which is a 2 part shot that is taken 2-3 weeks apart from each other. DROP YOUR DOG OFF BEFORE 12 IF BOARDING Make sure you get a confirmation email that gives you the dates. You will need to fill out additional information , like how much food and medication. There's more, but good luck try it out but know that there is a very specific process that you may not be used to , or completely oblivious to because let's face it, life can get crazy if your the one whose responsible for all the things.

At that point, I hadn't even decided which vet I wanted her to regularly see yet. I was panicking because my normal vet office that I took my cats to was closed (it was a Sunday) and I didn't want to wait until Monday to take her in. Cedar Heights was the only clinic open that Sunday. My dog saw Dr. Belle and was treated within an hour of calling them. The price was very reasonable considering the emergency visit and my puppy was acting playful again by the end of that night. From that point on (2 years ago) I decided to use Cedar Heights pet clinic, and transferred my cats' records there from my old vet clinic. Now my dog primarily sees Dr. Schaul at Cedar Heights (I think Dr. Belle mainly works at Brookside, which is affiliated?) Dr. Schaul is so friendly and knowledgeable. He explains everything in simple, easy to understand terms and answers all my questions. Dr. Belle has answered all of my emergency calls since my dog was a puppy -- and she's gotten quite a few from me. She's patient and understanding of my worries. I never feel like she's bothered with my concerns. The rest of the staff at Cedar Heights is simply amazing. They greet us with a smile and always make a point to give my dog the attention she craves when new people are around. Overall, I would not go anywhere else. Their prices are reasonable, the staff and doctors are reliable, and everyone is so friendly. Couldn't ask for more.
