I have had a very good experience with Pawsitive. Ally has always communicated well and sent lots of updates when visiting my cat. She has been super responsive any time im out of town. The main negative is that I've had trouble actually getting in touch with the main office for certain things, (getting keys back, confirming appt, etc). They seem to have limited office hrs and end up playing phone tag. read more

I should have listened to the one-star reviews. First off, according to the Better Business Bureau, this is currently NOT a BBB accredited business, as their website advertises. They are also NOT listed as a recognized pet sitting business in any of the professional pet sitting association links advertised on their website (one website doesn't even exist). I first reached out for a weekend at-home sitter for our 2 dogs when our regular boarding facility was full. The sitter called me directly (no contact from the owner) to arrange a meet-and-greet before booking the weekend stay. Her services were decent enough that we used them again when in the same predicament with a last-minute trip. Despite some minor troubles the sitter gave us in our home and leaving me on the fence with using them again, I mistakenly decided to give them a third try when, again, in a desperate situation for overnight pet care. This time, however, just ONE DAY before she was scheduled to come, I was told they had double booked themselves after I made the reservation, and they wouldn't get to my home for the overnight stay until much later in the evening. Even though I told her it was too long for my dogs to be alone and in a crate and that I was not OK with it, she said she was doing it anyway at the owner's direction. I canceled the whole weekend and asked that the owner - who had never once reached out to me in any way, despite having keys to my home - contact me so I could get answers and a refund. I was told "they probably won't because they mostly work by email." Even then, I received no email, and later a follow up message that the owner is just too busy. This company has proven to be deceptive and misleading, and they are absolutely not to be trusted with anyone's sweet fur babies. read more

I am extremely hesitant to leave a negative review for any small business. However, as I have not received a response to my e-mails to the company, I am left no other choice as I believe others out there should know of my experience. I have used this company for overnight petsitting our beloved dog twice in the very recent past after a few meet & greets. Our first use was for a weekend trip in June. We immediately noticed that the pet sitter (I am intentionally not using her name here though I am not sure she deserves that courtesy) did not let our dog out until very late the first morning (our security system timestamps major events including motion and ingress/egress), and of course my dog had no choice but to relieve himself inside. This was despite instructions detailing his usual outside time, etc. Our pet sitter did not return during the day and instead returned late in the evening for the next overnight. Despite these occurrences, I did not report the trouble to anyone (my mistake) and instead resolved to make more explicit instructions and follow up a bit more the next time. The next time we used the service was for a week-long trip out of the country this past month. We paid for overnight petsitting and then another visit during lunchtime. We also augmented this with an evening visit from a friend of ours given the inconsistent experience we had in June. Once again, we noticed inconsistency in the timings of coming to our house and leaving, including twice where the lunchtime visit was skipped altogether. On one occasion, our pet sitter departed at 5 AM and did not return until around 2:30 PM - she had an emergency but apparently did not notify anyone - not me, Pawsitive Petsitting (who presumably would've sent a replacement?), our friend who had left her number, or our emergency contacts. After I called to check in on the inconsistency midway during our trip overseas, her performance did improve over the last two days or so of the trip - comings/goings were more consistent and punctual. However, the damage was done. The inconsistency caused our dog to once again relieve himself inside the house at least twice during our six-day long trip. Neither occurrence was reported to us by the pet sitter and instead was relayed to us by our friend who was dropping by for evening visits. A telltale stain (what looked like a half-hearted attempted to clean was performed) on the carpet was also present. Our pet sitter also had an annoying habit of calling my dog an incorrect name and even initially left that incorrect name on his report (overwritten with the correct name though) and in text messages to me. A minor annoyance certainly as I realize she must have many clients but still how hard is it to get that right? Further our pet sitter apparently left the door to our back yard open for hours at a time allowing my dog to presumably go in and out at leisure despite instructions to limit his time outside due to allergies. Thankfully upon our return we did find our dog in reasonably good spirits and health, which is the most important thing, but when considering the cost of this service is fully double what good kennels charge for boarding, I definitely do not think the service did well by us or by our beloved dog and presumably by the other dogs she is trusted to care for. That they have not responded to my e-mails as of now detailing this (and more) is fairly telling. I will not be using this company again. read more

We recently moved to Denver and used Pawsitive Petsitting Services for my dog when we were out of town and have had overall an awful experience. We coordinated a time with our sitter Ally to meet us and our dog. She arrived 45 minutes late with no call or text that she was running late. We after about 30 minutes we figured she wasn't coming until she just showed up. Despite her being late, we used her anyway to watch our dog. Other companies we have used in the past communicate well and send lots of pictures and a gps map of the walk, we got very few pictures and very little communication. We used this company twice. During our most recent experience, we were were gone for 6 days. Our sitter sent us very few pictures and didn't follow instructions and over fed our dog and ran out of food for the last 1.5 days. We made sure there was enough food before leaving for vacation. We asked her if she could get more food and we would Venmo her. Instead of getting more food, she just didn't show up and starved our dog. When we got home, I noticed our front door was wide open. Not locked and door just completely opened. Our dog had pooped in the house twice, on our white carpet in the basement which was still there, and there was bits of poop in the wall and floor board which looked like it was attempted to be cleaned up by our sitter and confirmed when we noticed our bottle of multi-purpose cleaner almost gone. Our dog is 8 and very welled trained and had not had an accident in the house since she was a puppy. It was clear that she was over fed then just neglected. She did not inform us of any accident. The check list for the visits had check marks every day for bathroom, feedings, locked house, clean house, etc. every box was checked and under comments she just put a smiley face. Clearly she just checked boxes considering our door was open, she had no food, and there were at least two accidents she was aware of. We contacted the owner with all these issues which took a long time to get a response. We asked for the gps log to confirm she was coming to the house which we didn't get, we got two completely different stories from our sitter and the owner, we were told we would get a check for carpet cleaning and be refunded for the services, we only got a check for the carpet cleaning. Just overall a nightmare of an experience. It was bad enough that our dog was just not taken care of, but our house was just completely open for who knows how long. I urge you to consider other pet care companies. Oh and one more thing to add to this horrible experience, our sitter clearly took no notes or listened to where our dogs things are ( we have a large bin of rolls of poop bags, brush, treats, etc), instead of using the poop bags, or asking us where they were even though we showed her on her first day, she went though our cabinets and used clear sandwich bags for poop bags. We know this because we have a separate small trash can in our backyard for poop bags and when we opened it, we saw sandwich bags of poop.... read more

We are really happy with Shelly watching over our cats over Xmas break. She was timely for the meet and greet and gave us updates on how our cats were doing. Everything was great. We were leery of switching pet sitters since we moved to Lakewood but our other company didn't come to our new area. We tired Pawsitive Pet sitting form a friends recommendation and were pleasantly surprised. We will def use in the future! read more

I was a longtime customer but recently terminated services due to a continuing decline in quality of care. A few examples over this decline include sitter staying for nearly half the time of the 30 mins paid for (could tell by alarm history), tracking dirt throughout the house from not taking shoes off, using a bleach specific sponge on my pets water bowl, and leaving a bag of scooped litter on my kitchen counter (terrible smell to come home to). I requested that my keys be returned after terminating services and they only sent one of two. I have sent 3 follow up emails to the office in the last few weeks about the 2nd key as well as left a voice message without a response back. Unless you are lucky enough to live in an area that Wren services (had her for a short time when I was living in Aurora), I would definitely not recommend this company. read more

I'm pretty confused about my experience with Pawsitive. I called them and the representative was extremely friendly and said she thinks they could fit me in for the cat sitting services I was looking for over the Thanksgiving holiday, and she told me that she'd call me back within the next 1-2 hours to confirm. I never got a call back, so I called the next day to follow up and they didn't answer, so I left a message. On the third day, I'd still heard nothing so I called again and the representative was super friendly again and said she'd called and left a voicemail, which I hadn't received. She said that has been happening to them a lot lately.. Once again, she said she was confirming with the sitter and she'd give me a call back in an hour or two. I didn't receive a call. I called one last time to follow up (in the case that I received an imaginary voicemail again), and no answer. I'm taking my services elsewhere. I appreciate the friendliness, but blowing me off for days when I'm already on a tight schedule is just unprofessional. If you can't do it, just let me know so I don't waste precious time waiting for you to follow up. Additionally, it made me really concerned for how they'd act if they did take my business. I don't want to be unable to get in touch with them and wondering if they're actually visiting my pet while I'm away. I found another company that responded to my request within half an hour and I've got an appointment to meet & greet with them tomorrow. That's more like it! read more

Pawsitive Petsitting is an answer to my prayers! I have had to travel a lot this summer with my job and my husband works out of state. Our dogs are always happy and calm when we get home. It is obvious that they are well cared for when I am away, and Cynthia, our sitter, always sends text updates (even pictures) throughout the stretch that I am away. Their online booking system is slick, and I was able to leave my credit card information so that payment is automatic at the end of every appointment. read more

Used them once wont use them again. Allie seemed very reasponsible but found small things missing later. Nothing of significant expense. A bag of nail polish, gloves, etc. But still dont want to have to worry about this kind of stuff. The owner wont return the keys and we are having to get the locks changed. read more

Do NOT use this pet sitter. I have never rated anything on Yelp, however, am so unhappy with this company that I felt compelled to warn others. I was contacted by Heather who was very nice and professional and advised that Elizabeth would be in touch to set-up a meet and greet. I set the meet and greet with Elizabeth on a Saturday prior to my trip on a Tuesday. She called and asked for a later time and we agreed to meet later in the day on Saturday. Elizabeth never showed or called. Now, I have to leave on a trip on Tuesday and don't have a pet sitter due to this company's complete lack of professionalism. read more

I would have given this Pet sitting service 6 stars a month ago. Jane walked my Boston Terrier for the last 6 months. She was professional responsible and trustworthy! And then she left the company and the gal who was supposed to be her replacement was the complete opposite. Phone calls were never returned to set up a meet and greet. There was no effort made to work on finding someone else. There was no follow up at all. The only option was having a complete stranger come into my home and take my pet out for a walk. No thanks. I would rather use a pee pad. read more
