My partner got me these a*s kicking cowboy boots here
JoAnn S.

Wow!!! If I knew I was going to come here to this shop and get all that I bought--I would have brought less clothes in my suitcase so I could take more home with me. I am going to mail some things back home. I love this shop!!! The proceeds go to helping our little furry friends--that is needed in this community (and most for that matter). Their staff is made up of volunteers. Glen, a friendly helper, likes volunteering because he is an animal lover and owner. I wanted to share his photo, but the software isn't letting me. Thrift shops provide a great service. They keep used goods from going in to land fill. They provide consumers items for less than retail. This shop has quite a bit to offer men (typically thrift stores mostlty serve women). My partner got four shirts from Paws. Something else important to remember is the community that donates to this store gives away very nice items. It is more like a boutique shop than a thrift store in a large city. Some of the items I got besides clothing--a pair of real cowboy boots for $40, and hand made choker with amber for $18.

It was okay. I wanted to buy but the prices were not clearly marked. The staff was preoccupied. I didn't want to be a bother so I left.

Aside from the clothes, there are a lot of cool knick knacks to look at.

I went into this shop expecting more of a traditional thrift store experience, but it felt much…read morecloser to a consignment boutique in terms of pricing. While there were definitely some unique and high-quality pieces, many of the items--especially the jewelry--were priced in the hundreds and even into the thousands, which caught me off guard. One thing I really appreciated was how the clothing was organized by size. That made browsing much easier and more efficient, especially if you're on a time crunch. The store also carries furniture and other items, and everything is thoughtfully displayed--the presentation is clean, curated, and visually appealing. That said, it just wasn't what I personally was looking for. I came in hoping to thrift and score budget-friendly finds, so the pricing and overall vibe didn't quite match my expectations. If you're looking for curated, higher-end secondhand pieces, this might be your spot--but if you're hunting for true thrift deals, you may leave a bit disappointed like I did.

I was having lunch at Tamaliza a few stores down when I met a volunteer from the thrift shop. We…read morewere talking and she mentioned they were having a big sale. I stopped by and the store is huge with a small book library. The books were well organized by subject. They also had sticker prices outside. There's a lot to see. The native jewelry was beautiful.

I knew of this store before I traveled to Flagstaff. I wanted an inexpensive tapestry curtain, and…read morethey sell several India curtains. Needless to say, they have a beautiful collection of specialized beads as well. I make jewelry and had to blindfold myself to not over buy. Animas is very colorful. They sell alot of items for alters, beads, and the curtain I wanted was only 24.95. It is a beautiful purple, pink, green tapestry with sketches on it. I can't say how pleased I was with the many choices to choose from. There's 2 other Anima stores I didn't go into. They are owned by the same people. But this would always be my choice to visit due o the bead selection. The staff at the counter were very polite, and I will return to this store when I go back to Flagstaff.

This is an admirable bead paradise for bead smiths, artists, tourists and locals. It was almost…read morerefreshing to explore this floor, a floor that was golden brown wood, creaking softly, but not too noticeably, under my feet. With colors, everywhere. I started to the right and wandered towards the back of the store. There was a portion of the wall presenting Tools. Pliers ranging from $6.99 to $14.95, memory wire, bees wax for $2.99, one-stop loopers, a Bead Smith Tool Set for $59.99. Plus, an exotic assortment of beads. Czech glass beads hung on strings ranging from $3.00 to $8.00. A few other types of beads you'll find here: Chinese crystal, Swarovoski crystal, vintage German glass and miracle beads. Beads of all sizes are arranged in the middle of the floor, in boxed sections, including two-inch beds as well as miniature plastic bags of multicolored seed beads. The store is bright, spacious, well-lit, decorated with imported merchandise. There was a little area where you could sit down and fill the tube up with beads. The sign read: Assorted Glass Bead Mix for $2.50 a tube or .25 cents each. On one section of a brick wall, on the left side of the store, in front of the window and beside the cash register, was handmade jewelry by local artists, mostly earrings, necklaces and sets. Prices of this jewelry ranged from $8.00 to $55.00. If you're not into the beads there are other objects of desire: There is Putumayo world music, with a listening station to sample the CDs, tapestries that are made of 100% cotton, for $22.50, made in India from a company called India Arts, and imported furniture, mostly cabinets, in the back, from $395 to $495. But the real niche product: a gallery of beads you'll never find anywhere else.
