When I found out I was so worried I was going to have to board him at the vet whenever I was away, but Alexis didn't even flinch. She administers fluids to him with love whenever I am away, and I feel better knowing Brody is stress-free and comfortable at home. She keeps an observant eye out for his well-being: She'll turn on the AC or heat if the temperature is uncomfortable, administer medicine if he needs it, text me updates, and let me know if anything seems different - like a lackluster coat or change in habits. They made arrangements to have Molly and, I believe, Christine come to my home to meet the kids. So, while I was interviewing them they were interviewing the cats. I finally took the plunge and signed up. It was fantastic----knowing the kids were going to have food, water, clean boxes and plenty of attention. I say plenty knowing full well that 24 hours of continuous petting and cuddling is barely meeting the minimums as far as the cats are concerned. However, when I got home they were content and happy and well fed. Molly was kind enough to send me text messages and photos of the kids while I was gone so I knew they had really been there---lol---and let met see I was not being missed much. The security of knowing these ladies will come in and care for the cats is a tremendous relief for me and makes it possible for me to do some traveling. One of the really neat things was they were already well known in my apartment complex as they visit some other pets here - so my apartment manager knew them. We are so happy and very proud of our dog's progress and have so much to thank Taylor for. Folks send their dogs to board and train programs for many reasons. For us, we wanted support honing previously learned skills, learning recall, and curbing a few unwanted behaviors such as excitedly lunging and jumping at people, fence fighting, and barking. We were nervous about so many things. What would we do without our boy for three weeks? Would his sweet and playful personality be the same when he returned? Could we stick to it and reinforce his learning at the end of it all? The three weeks away were tough. But we timed it with a family vacation which helped a lot. As for the dog we picked up at the end; Ozzie is the exact same amazingly sweet and playful dog. But he is so much more confident, calm, and responsive. He honestly seems like a much happier dog. Almost like he feels and shares the pride we have in him. And with the tools and confidence it has given us, we can now give him the fulfilling life he deserves. THANK YOU, TAYLOR!
