My wife took our dog, Baxter, to this groomer, Jaden, two weeks after we moved back to Bridgman…read more Jaden explained that someone walked in while she was grooming Baxter, which caused him to jerk and her to accidentally cut him twice on the ear. This occurred late on a Friday afternoon, and since most vets in the area were closed, we had to drive to the nearest emergency vet in Westville, IN, 34 miles away. We spent 6 hours at the emergency vet, where Baxter received multiple stitches under anesthesia due to the location and depth of the cuts. The vet bill ended up being over $1,100. When we approached Jaden about reimbursing the vet bill, she insisted the cost should not have exceeded $600, which might be true if a local vet had been open. However, we called every vet in Berrien County, and all of them were closed. Given the situation--Baxter was in distress and bleeding--we had no choice but to take him to the emergency vet. We also inquired whether she had business insurance, which we believe most groomers would have to cover incidents like this, but she did not respond. Finally, after a few weeks of not hearing back from her, we agreed to her offer to cover half the bill and even expressed a willingness to continue using her services. However, at that point, she stopped responding to our messages altogether. Our takeaway is this: if you're trusting Jaden with your pet, be aware that she may not be fully prepared to handle emergencies or reimburse you for expenses related to accidents. If you don't have the financial means to cover an unexpected vet bill, we would recommend looking for another groomer who is better equipped to handle such situations.

I'm so happy I did my research…read more Lisa the owner of Bow Wow and Meow Boutique is fantastic. She is truly proud of her craft and does it so well. We took our little girl for her first time haircut which can be very stressful for puppies. Lisa made it simple and very comfortable for her. Our puppy was able to roam around and feel at home while having her hair cut. Lisa is very warm and welcoming. The boutique itself is clean and doesn't smell bad like other places. Also she thankfully does NOT use cage dryers which is a huge deal for me! Cage dryers are super dangerous. Google it at your own risk. We are so happy we found a clean & safe grooming place for our little fur baby. Thank you Lisa.

I have a doodle-dog, the type who would grow dreadlocks from her ears if given a chance. She could…read moreprobably also grow them between her toes and toe-beans. She has very dense fine hair that could put a sheep to shame, in fact she might need to be shorn instead of groomed. To say she's a special girl who needs a lot of attention is an understatement. I have work-related difficulties in scheduling Shorn-of-the-sheep for grooming, and Lisa is wonderful about working with me. Even better... my dog comes back looking fantastic, well groomed, no burns, no cuts in her ears, just ... fantastic. And she's more than reasonable. I've recommended her to everyone I know with dogs, and I've heard them pass along those recommendations.
