Walked our dog around the block, back in her car and on her way in 10 minutes - 26$ per visit for months before I noticed. Constant cancellations/excuses, always came in during 2 hour block specifically asked not to come to not wake up baby, poor communication. After being fired - took a week to return keys and would not refund money for prepaid cat care weeks in advance or work days missed. Still waiting for payment after small claims court. Complains about lack of clients and people being tight with their wallets. Absolute liar and thief.

She has proven time and again that she is aware of not only the pups' issues but informs me promptly of home or property issues that might be happening while I am away. She has also cared for my pups while we're on vacation and I have total peace of mind that if anything happened while we're gone, she would contact me and act in the best interest of my pups. My dogs are often more excited to see her than me. I can't imagine anyone else that I would trust more in my home or with my pups.

The owner of the dog watched his dog, but could not stop his dogs bad behavior. I reported the problem and the man did talk to the owner. He stated my dog should hang out in the smaller dog section. Why? There is an aggressive dog area. Why didn't they test that dog's behavior? Disgusted, I was there only a week and got my $160.00 back. I just pray this dog does not attack another dog.

To address concerns that other's wrote: 1.) the only smell in the front lobby is from the cleaners they are required to use to keep the place sanitary, Barb and here staff are always cleaning and keeping busy. I never see them stop moving when I am there. 2.) dehydration may be a consideration anytime an animal is boarded. When they are boarded they never act the way they do when they are home due to an unfamiliar environment. I always expect my dogs to be on the thinner side when I pick them as they have always been at prior kennels. They just don't eat or drink normally. 3.) weeds over growing in the outside kennels???? Never the case. Maybe this person was picking up at anoddtimeof the year when they were waiting for their landscaping contractor to start,I don't know, I have never seen this. In the year I have been using her my three dogs have been boarded 7 times and never a problem. Barb is a very responsible kennel owner. After our last stay our puppy had become ill and sad,y needed surgery. Barb was concerned that her staff had done something and was beneficial in trying to figure this great mystery out. She was constantly calling to check on our baby. After all was said and done it was a blind cord that our baby got from our home. We have no clue how she got it but she did. Barb still kept in contact with us to make she she was okay. My pack isn't an easy one too board but Barb makes sure that all As long as we live in Valpo and her doors are open instructions are followed. We have an 11 yo GSD, a 9 yo GSD & a 10 mo GSD. She goes out of her way to make sure they are kenneled the way they need to bed so that everyone is comfortable. That they all get their special treats I leave them and that all the medications I leave are dispensed and accounted for. She does an amazing job! As long as I live in Valpo and her doors are open she will be the only kennel I use!

We have tried many other kennels & all leave our dogs in filth as I have picked them up covered in urine/feces only having to take them home & put them straight into a bath. It's not like that here. I left all 4 of our dogs for 10 days on our last vacation. When I came to pick them up, the dogs were clean, happy, & cheerful. As much as I missed them, I was thrilled to know they were in good hands while we were gone.

The owners boyfriend was employed there at the time and I was the unfortunate customer who had him for a groomer that particular day. Never have I had my dog muzzled before this particular occasion. He was rude, irritated, short tempered and nasty. Not someone who should ever be working with animals. My dog was left bleeding and terrified. Steer clear!

I haveto say Dr. Butler and staff are one of the best, most professional I've ever come across. Prior to moving to Valpo, I called a few vets and these guys were the nicest and most welcoming, and also offered to handle getting the records for my three fogs from my old vet on Long Island, NY. Two of my dogs were due for shots and exams last month, so I took them in. Everyone was very nice, ad the vet highly prfessional, Dr. Butler is very personable, friendly and clearly loves animals. They took care of all the shots at a very affordable rate. Most recently, one of my Aussies, Skylar, ruptured a tendon in his knee. Skyar was badly abused as a pup, and still has some wierd fears and wonkiness. The techs there actually mae hiim feel comfortable and he wasn't afrais at all. The way they handled him was exceptional. Dr. Butler saw him right away, quickly diagnosed the issue, and rather than doing the necessary surgery herself, made a recommendation to a vet about an hour away who only does orthopedic work, and is oneof the best in the US. The surgery was a complete success, and the referral could't have been better. This morning I took him in for another problem and an Adequine shot and when we arrived and were waiting in the parkig lot to go in, Dr. Butler was arriving. Not only did she recognize my dog, she was already familiar with his surgery notes and took a minute to observe how he ws walking. I can't say enough about what agreat vet, great office team and staff they have here.

I called and spoke with Tonya who was able to get us in immediately. Dr. Brooke McAfee diagnosed my little angel with Mitral Valve disease after some X-rays and listening to her murmur. Receiving this news was life altering- Belle has been my baby for almost 8 years. Dr. Brooke is amazing- she has the most wonderful and kind nature, inclusive of the empathy so many veterinarians lack these days. She guided me through all of the next steps, and I genuinely felt she cared even knowing we weren't a long term client/patient. We took our little girl for her first time haircut which can be very stressful for puppies. Lisa made it simple and very comfortable for her. Our puppy was able to roam around and feel at home while having her hair cut. Lisa is very warm and welcoming. The boutique itself is clean and doesn't smell bad like other places. Also she thankfully does NOT use cage dryers which is a huge deal for me! Cage dryers are super dangerous. Google it at your own risk.
