Happy dog - she knows the way to POTA and leads me there

The best place to pamper your pooch! She loves the pig ears and the "pour overs." Staff is always extremely friendly & helpful, never pushy. Highly recommend!

I live about 20 minutes away from downtown LW but we love coming for breakfast here and the day I came in my husband decided to go for a haircut so I was shopping. The man immediately came up and said hello and asked if I needed help. I explained I was only looking. I just recently got a puppy and bought a bunch of stuff and one item I paid $13.99 for just the day before was $16.99 here. There was a couple other things I just recently bought that each item was higher priced here. The $3 difference was the largest difference. They had way too many political items in here. I think politics and business should remain separate. The politics coupled with everything being priced higher than other places means I wont be back. Advice : Remove political stickers and dog toys. Keep it politic free. We have enough of that in our every day life.

I love a locally owned business and this is a great one catering to your beloved four footed family members. This Lake Ave staple turned 20 last year. Paws on the Avenue is for the pet owner who wants to take better care of their pet. They stock higher quality products at lower prices. They carry everything you need from food bowls, bakery treats, collars, harnesses, and toys. They even carry items for pet lovers like greeting cards and tee shirts. A reason to pick this store over the big chain stores is that in addition to products, owner Carolyn Clore also offers services like pet adoption and training classes. She films informational videos so you can be a better pet owner. At this store you can get personalized advice regarding what is best for your pet from a trusted source. They even have a chip scanner so you can bring a lost pet in to have it scanned. I love supporting small businesses like this where you can get real help and advice. Your pet will be happier and healthier and you will be keeping your money in the community.

Everyone knows I spoil our Tabitha. Paws has always been helpful and educational with the quality of foods and items for her. The store is very community oriented and takes pride in helping with our 4-legged family needs.

I've been buying the same brand and flavor of cat food for awhile and recently the recipe changed so when I went to feed the new bag to my cat he refused to eat it. It's a $26 dollar bag of cat food so it's absolutely absurd that I cannot get an exchange to another flavor espiecially when I can get the same cat food and any big box store for $5 dollars less but chose to "support a small buisness". I know that I can get a refund or exchange at other stores so I will not be coming back here and I urge you not to come here if your animal is a picky eater, because now my cat hasn't eaten in 2 days and they refuse to and I've lost out on $26 dollars.

Cant say enough good things about this place. I had an issue with my ragdoll kitten for the first year of her life having terrible diarrhea and digestive issues daily. We tried EVERYTHING. Multiple vet visits with no resolution. Randomly walked into this pet store and got to talking with the manager about our issue. He recommended N&D lamb formula and ALL OUR PROBLEMS WERE SOLVED!! He gave generous samples and expected nothing in return. Amazing service and they truly care about your pet.

Gah, I'm a sucker for anything related to mans best friend, especially boutique stores. They have basically any kind of squeaky toy known to man along with treats, food (organic too, holla!) accessories for the pups. They even have some cat stuff too which threw me off a bit but hey, nothing wrong with love for all animals right? Enter in that they have fresh baked dog treats in the shape of martinis, flamingos calzones and yeah, this place has my heart! PS-If you go in, they have a number of coupons for the other businesses along Lake Ave!

Awesome, awesome experience for me and my dog Big Daddy…read more my big, 2.5 yr old boy was going crazy when new people came around. He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. Even his dog walker said he has really improved and she did not know he was training.

RUN, and RUN fast. If I can urge anyone to stay away I 100% would. I bought my havapeak there in…read moreFebruary after looking at many of the other puppies, I decided on this one was the one for me. ( not to mention every single other puppy- there was about 8 had some sort of "puppy cold") I was then convinced that I needed about 300$ worth of puppy supplies- which I insisted I didn't need. But Mary the manager pushed on that I did.. and I couldn't get the more inexpensive puppy supplies that they sold due to her bread. That was the first red flag, Fast forward now, I have regularly bought the puppy food there, which my dog has now enjoyed the taste of a different variety or wet food a worker sold me when Mary wasn't in, and when I returned again to buy a couple more cans Mary was visibly frustrated that I didn't buy the one that she wanted me too. She has tried to push me several times into training or etc. for way more then it's worth and gotten short and irritated when I declined. I did go there for my dogs first grooming, having my mother drop her off while I was at work they proceeded to call me which I wasn't able to answer and tell me that she needed to be shaved and to call back, when I finally got to the message I received another one that they went ahead and shaved her, mind you I brushed her several times a day and this not being my first dog, I know her coat and what condition it was in, there was no need for her to be shaved. Her legs were shaved to the bone. And her body fur is Probably a half an inch longer and as you can see in the picture her face isn't groomed proportionally and there's many strands that are longer/shorter then others. She was not matted nor did she have one single knot. She came back visibly distraught and less confident it has taken weeks to get back to herself. I highly recommend everyone stays far away- from not only the business but the lady who runs it. And to you MARY- you should never speak badly of your customers- to there mother. Signed " the daughter you don't like"
