I have never been a believer in holistic anything and one visit to this store and speaking with Barbara and Sonya has shifted my perspective entirely. I have a senior dog who has been struggling with separation anxiety, kidney and joint issues. The owner, Barbara, is extremely caring, knowledgeable and took so much one on one time with me to explain what would be beneficial for him. She was patient and answered all of my questions. I am so happy I found this store. I have a 5 year old Frenchie who has really bad food allergies. I have spent so much money at the vet over the past 5 years trying to control her allergies/figure out what food is right for her. I walked into holistic pet cuisine looking for a new food to switch her to after being on a hydrolyzed protein diet for the past 6 months. The women in the store were SO welcoming and informative. They took time to explain to me the different food options they they recommend - one of the options being a raw diet. The woman explained how dogs with allergies normally do well on switching to raw because there are no additives etc. I made the switch the next day - and WOW - my dog did not have an upset stomach/loose stool or anything!! My petite mini goldendoodle (11 months old) was experiencing digestion problems very often. About every 2 weeks she would not eat, drink and often times throw up. She was very lethargic as well. My 8 yr old Golden Retriever was diagnosed with a serious and aggressive bone cancer. Our cat, Rocco means the world to us. When we rescued him we immediately realized how special he was, but we also noticed he had some digestive issues and we would often find blood in his stools & he would often throw up in the mornings.. I was worried when I moved here that I wouldn't be able to find a specialty pet food store that carried everything I like for my furry pack. I have to say I have been so impressed with the diversity of healthy, clean food options and treats Holistic Pet Cuisine carries. The employees here are super knowledgeable and sincerely care for the well-being of my pups. I always feel like I'm getting solid advice whenever I have a question about my three dogs' nutritional needs and safety. Recently I came in the store to inquire about puppy food for my 1.3lb Pomeranian puppy. He hasn't been a good eater since I got him, and he hasn't liked any of the chicken-based kibble or canned options I've offered him. When I talked with Sue, she recommended several different option for my little fur baby, and I admit I was a bit hesitant to buy anything with chicken since he hasn't liked anything I've given him with chicken before. All I can say is, "WOW, does Sue know what she's talking about!" My pup went from turning up his nose at meal time or only eating when I hand fed him homemade grilled salmon and sweet potatoes, to diving in to his food bowl with CHICKEN! I adopted an 8 year old shelter dog about a year ago not knowing all his health problems. Went there on Friday as I live in Stuart but my dentist is in Boca. I only feed my Bichon grain feed dog food. They carry the very best dog food out there, Stella & Chewy's. I am so OCD when it comes to my Toby. Jill was so great when it came to picking out treats for him. She knew what treats I was looking for and I ended up with six packages of yummy chicken treats. So happy I discovered this shop PLUS it's close to work as an added bonus. The gals in this shop are so helpful and friendly. The variety of healthy choices for your pets are fantastic, covering puppies to adulthood. I don't shop at the franchise pet shops. I want to know that I have healthy choices for my dog. Frozen raw.... meal toppers, dried tripe (ewe, I know .. but he likes it)... Orijens, etc. The treats surpass any franchise shop you go to. I like to make my own but I don't have time these days. These ladies know what they are talking about. They are very knowledgeable. I came in with my newly adopted 4 year old Shih tzu dog Pacci. I told them that he was having a hard time pooping and it was a bit watery. I was interested in some natural and clean dog food that would not contain harmful chemicals. They told me to use some special hard food and soft food for his diet specifically and give it a try. Within two days Pacci was pooping with no problem and his poop was firm and fluffy. No Constipation. He also ate the food super fast and loves it! Can't be anymore happy with the decision we made. Thank you so much for helping with Pacci's transition. We have a couple animals (a dog and a cat) that have food allergies so we were anxious to try this place out after we heard about it from someone at the dog park. The place is easy to miss on Clint Moore and the store isn't all that big. It's a mom and pop place and the owner who was there was very personable and knowledgeable. He spent like half an hour with us helping us pick out the food for our pets. He seemed even more knowledgeable about food allergies than our vet and he offered to call and check on how the pets are doing on the diet. They have a lot of great stuff and their ad says they'll order anything they don't have. They also deliver. I would recommend this place to anyone that is concerned about their pet's health especially if the pet has food allergies or digestive problems. read more

I will admit that I have very little knowledge of the raw diet for pets but was open to learn more about their products since we have 2 cats and 2 dogs. Speak to Kim or Barbara. I avoid the older guy--his humor is superficial and rather disarming and if you are not in the mood--as someone wrote previously can be interpreted as aggressive. He really isn't he just does not have a natural ease with people. Frankly, he is rather weird and creeps me out. He may be the owner as if often the case (an owner with these weaknesses should count the money and allow people with a natural talent for working with people to make the money). The selection is awesome. Everyone including the guy above really try to be nice and helpful. He just comes across as snarky (like a used car salesman). Probably the best selection of foods I have seen. Store is very clean. They will special order items and save items for you. Always very beautiful dogs visiting. The atmosphere is no drama. You are in and out. If you want to talk for hours about food--they will. If you don't=pay your money and goodbye. Again, the female sales staff are very adept and in tune to emotional and intellectual vibes. They are exceptional at determining if you want to be bothered and smiling at your animal pics while simultaneously attending to other customers. Visit. You won't be disappointed. The store is out of my way but ...I like the customer courtesy. The pricing --I am paying a lot but I buy in bulk. UPDATE - had a problem was supposed to be called back by owner - and you guessed it - she never called back - they just want your money - they are fake in here - was supposed to call back someone who was sold a bad product and promised over and over again they would help me and never did. This place has some good quality pet food items. Their prices are OK but not cheap at all. Much cheaper online. Some of their stuff is very overpriced. The sales people are phony. Right from when you shop to over phone. I called about some things I bought they took my number made a bunch of promises and said the owner would call me after reaching out to the company and they never even called me back. They are faker than fake at this store. All in all quality of products carried is good, not great (check reviews on some of their products they have a lot of mediocre products).
