Their main room has rugs, chairs, and sofas for the dogs to lounge and rest on, as well as plenty of room for them to socialize. We boarded our Coraline there for a few nights once, and periodically bring her in for a day of daycare. For overnight boarding, they have private areas for dogs that range in amenities. Some will have their very own personal seating area, and bed, or there are also crates for them to sleep in if they need that. Coraline LOVES this place. As soon as I let her out of the car, she starts lunging for their front door. When she gets home from a day of daycare, she goes off to a quiet corner to nap right away, which I take to be a good sign because hopefully, that means that she wore herself out having fun with her little furry friends there! We've been to other places in town, but like this one the most because it always feels so warm and inviting. Two warnings: 1) They require reservations for day care and boarding. We were told the last time we dropped her off that they wouldn't take our dog for daycare again unless we called ahead of time (obviously, we didn't know about the reservations-only policy because no one ever told us about one before then), and 2) it's CASH ONLY, which is a pain because I seldom have cash on me. Luckily, there's an ATM at the Walgreens down the street. (The website doesn't list much information, AT ALL, so call, or stop by to grab some informational sheets from them.)

They never were as good as his old groomer and frequently gave him patchy spots, especially around his legs and neck, but it was never enough to complain about. What motivated me to write this review was just today we pick our boy up from the groomer around 4pm and took him for a walk this evening. It was dark, and we were shocked to see when we came home all 4 of his paws were bloody. They trimmed the nails on all 4 paws past the quick. We called to tell them and to make sure the person who did his nail trimming knew they caused all 4 paws to bleed. The person we spoke with told us it is normal to cut to the quick and keep it short. They said this happens when "we don't keep up with his nails". But he had gone for grooming 6wks ago and walks about 2.5 miles every day. So his nails were not long to begin with. They told us to apply some Kwik stop to his nails and he would be good. They did not offer any compensation. They simply told us the who did his nails "usually does keep them short". I am not a groomer, so I cannot say if this is normal or not from a technical standpoint. I can only say in his nearly 5 years of being groomed, we've never experienced this before, and Mutterly Love seemed pretty convinced it was normal.

When my hybrid job started to require more time in person...the idea of just having to crate her for a couple full work days every week was very upsetting to both of us. I've tried a few different daycares and found her coming home more anxious and disregulated. But I decided to try it anyways and I'm so glad I did! I'm a big fan of how they introduce new dogs slowly and carefully, in a way that works very well for dogs like mine. I've found that this has helped with her socialization across the board! Even meeting dogs out in public is less scary for her now. An off leash dog ran up on us last month when out on a walk and instead of shutting down like I expected, she was wagging and excited. I 100% credit this to her time at Shilohs Place. At this point, she knows the route I take to Shiloh's Place and starts doing tippy tappies in the back seat as soon as she knows where we are going! And every day when I pick her up, she promptly goes straight to the couch and zonks for hours. It's clear that the staff dote on her and that she has made several besties at daycare. It's so nice to be able to focus on my work day knowing that she is on a big play date, having the time of her life. Communication is also easy and they are reachable through text if I have any questions or concerns. Lizzy, the lovely groomer who runs her Clean Cuts business in Shiloh's Place, also does a awesome job. It's incredibly convenient to pick up my girl all cleaned up with a good nail trim straight from daycare.

These were not received for the first two days until I called to enquirer - somehow I opted out of text messages but paid for this upgrade????? Once I finally got the pictures, one showed my dog with large amounts of drool and fluid/foam coming out of her mouth - which has never happened before. Called asap the next morning to be assured everything was OK...... Finally picked them up only to have the one dog have severe dehydration and diarrhea of which required an emergency vet visit on a Sunday morning (less then 24 hours from bringing them home). $400 later with fluids and meds the dog is getting back to normal. Additionally I paid for baths for the dog, which were never done however still charged... Their initial response to this was a "future credit for a bath". They also claim to have a $500 pet care promise of which I am still unclear what this covers as they had no intention to cover my pets emergency vet visit. They did end up refunding the bath they never performed, however I would give this place NO recommendation and will never be back again.
