Great service today on our cat Kiki! We even got to watch him shave her and clean her up! Quick and efficient! We appreciated being able to watch too because it helped keep our nervous kitty calm. Thanks Christian! read more

I highly recommend this company. My dog had spine surgery and is getting older so I was hesitant to go to a traditional groomer that require you to leave them there for 4-6 hours. I'm so glad I found Paws for a Tail! I love that all I have to do is open my door and hand Christian my dog and I know that he will take good care of him. The first time Christian came to groom my dog he showed me inside his truck and the everything was spotless. My dog always looks great and seems happy afterwards. read more

I have used several different on site groomers for my GSD and never have I been satisfied with even the bath my dog had gotten. The nail trims and de shedding were never anything I was impressed with. My dog smelled amazing when Christian was done with her. Her nails were so well clipped my dog sounded different just walking on my wood floors. I've never been more pleased with how my dog was handled. Thank you Christian. We will be regulars from now on. Highly recommend this mobile grooming. read more

Late last night (a Saturday), my dog Suki (a 5 yr old Australian Shepherd) discovered a skunk under the neighbors car, and, needless to say, she paid the price by receiving a full-faced blast of utter stink. I took her home and tried to wipe her down with some doggie baby wipes just to temporarily try to clean her up a bit until I could get her properly groomed. Of course, that was useless. There wasn't much I could do after midnight, so, Sunday morning I hopped online and came across the Paws for a Tail website. I wasn't expecting much never having used a mobile groomer, but it would be days before I could take her to Petco or some other place, and I am without transportation. I asked Christian for an estimate of cost and how soon he might be able to take care of her. He quoted me a comparable price to Petco/PetSmart (which I was familiar with), and was even able to come out within a couple of hours, so, of course, I said yes. First impression- great, no-hassle quote and customer service attitude. Second impression- highly professional set-up and an excellent description and knowledge of the service and remedy for out problem. Final impressions- excellent job grooming her- she looked and smelled great- and there was no hidden b.s. He gave her a great treatment at the quoted price plus a little extra. I highly recommend Christian to anyone looking for a quality groomer at a decent price. The ease of using his services, even in my somewhat dire situation, was worth every penny. Thanks Christian! read more

I couldn't get my dog to the the regular groomer for 2 weeks. An acquaintance from church recommended him and I was able to set up an appointment several days later. Considering he is mobile, I thought the pricing would be very expensive. It turned out he is no more than the regular groomer. My dog has allergies and chews her paws. So Christian was able to help me with a special shampoo. My dog really likes him. I appreciate Christian's honesty and calm demeener. I would recommend him to anyone who needed a groomer. read more

So we made an appointment with Christian a week ago for noon. Today he called around 11 and said he was running behind and wouldn't be there until 12:30. That is no big deal, I understand with mobile groomers of this nature. He didn't arrive until close to 1pm. Once he arrived he seems very upset, frustrated, and extremely disinterested. We had two dogs, a Mini Amerikan Eskimo (15lbs) and a German Shepherd Mix (75lbs). He took about an hour with the Eski, and about 30min with the Shepherd. There was no conversation about what we wanted, length of cut, what was expected, or the process. He just asked us to put the Eski on the table and left the trailer. Once she was done, we walked the Shepherd out and left. When the dogs were done they were OK. Nothing special, and no "wow" factor that I was expecting from all these great reviews. They were just OK. Nothing more than what I would have gotten done at a PetsMart for half the price. My biggest concern was Christian himself. He was not personable at all, was very standoffish, and seemed like my dogs were bothering him. When he was done he waited at my front door for his check and left. In one of the other lower star reviews, Christian responded by saying he "always give a detailed invoice" and claimed that review was fake. I am telling you mine is 100% real, and the invoice comment is a lie. I have nothing from him. No invoice, nothing that said what he did, what products he used, nothing. I am assuming they got a bath because my Shepherd was wet when she returned, but that was all the information I have. I am not saying he did a "bad" job. Just not a great one compared to all these 5 star reviews. We won't be using him again. read more

I love Christian! He just gave my cat the cutest lion cut. She's adorable. He did a great job. I was nervous about a lion cut, but he reassured me that I would love it. He was right, I love it an now don't have to worry about the constant mats any more. He warned me that my other cat might be upset at first and may try to attack her. He was right. It took about 2 days for him to get used to her. Now everything is fine and back to normal. I appreciated the warning. He is very professional. I would recommend him for pet grooming. He is my 2nd mobile groomer that came out. I will never use the first one again. Christian is my guy!! read more

Christian is phenomenal. I used his mobile grooming service for the first time a week ago and I will not go anywhere else. I have a 3 year old lab who can be a little rambunctious, but Christian handled him beautifully. His work is professional, efficient, and thoughtful. The time and care he puts in to his work is remarkable and I was truly impressed. He took a personal interest in my lab and you can tell his love for animals has no bounds. Do not go anywhere else. Christian is the best of the best and Bugsy and I will be back! read more

I wish I would have found Christian about 10 haircuts ago. He is the only mobile groomer to take care of my border terrier correctly. His services are very reasonable and he's right here in Dana Point. I swore I heard Edward Scissorhands in the trailer taking care of my Snickers. Ramona in San Juan December 2015 read more

I hope others will find this helpful. We had the same groomer for 2 years that my dog really liked. But the last few times we scheduled an appointment, the groomer always had an excuse why they would be late or had to postpone. Last week we scheduled with the same person and once again another delay. I had enough and looked on yelp to find a local mobile groomer and came across Christian's name in a review on another posting. He answered his phone right away and agreed to come out on Saturday afternoon. Come to find out my wife had rescheduled with the original groomer. I called Christian back, explained the situation and told him my belief that the groomer will once again not show, and I would call back to reschedule. Go figure...found out in the morning the original groomer was once again making an excuse, so I called Christian immediately. He said he could still come by in the afternoon and he was right on time. Christian has a clean trailer fully equipped to handle even the largest breed, and his appearance is professional. He told me about his history of working with dogs all his life, about his dogs, and his knowledge of the local groomer community. He has a calming demeanor and adapted to my dog's personality which is a little skittish toward unfamiliar people. When we were done, Christian was concerned that perhaps my dog was uncomfortable with him , and I acknowledged that it was likely because of the newness. But I assured him that a couple more visits and they would be buddies. Christian asked if he could say goodbye to my dog before leaving just so he could be sure the two left on good terms. My dog greeted him with a goodbye like he does all his friends which is quite rare to new people. I highly recommend Christian if you care about your pet's experience when being groomed and I will be calling him again in about 6 weeks to set our next appointment. Thank you Christian. read more

It was our first time calling a mobile pet groomer and what a GREAT experience! It had been a long time since our Maltipoo had been groomed and Christian came on his day off to help. Christian went above and beyond!! Our Maltipoo was a little nervous at first but was very comfortable towards the end. Thank you so much!! I would highly recommend Christian to anyone looking for a mobile groomer. read more

I had never used a mobile groomer before, but when you live by the beach sometimes you just don't want to deal with the summer traffic. I was skeptical, but I have to say Christian was very impressive. I have never ever had a groomer write down notes of some things he noticed and that I should watch about my dogs (2 shitzu's). He really cares about dogs and I appreciated the personal attention. Great guy, great service - yes a little more expensive then going to the shop but I'll pay extra for the time and personal care he put into working with my dogs anytime. Thanks Christian :-) read more

Christian is a great groomer. My dog always looks great and is actually happy to see him. Definitely beats taking your dog to the groomer!

I heard of Christian's mobile pet grooming through a friend. I contacted Christian to set up a time & date for him to meet our English Bulldog, Louie. He was very friendly & responsive. Louie was in need of grooming and Christian assured me of proper bulldog grooming & etiquette. Louie loved his bath and the experience. He was very clean, looked & smelled great. You can tell that Christian enjoys what he does! Thank you!! read more

I am truly saddened by the bad reviews by Kevin o. And George w. I have known Christian longer then he's been a groomer and I trust him not only as a person but as a true professional. I take my own pets to him and my family and friends pets. I have always been amazed at how he can tune in with the animals needs. He's simply awesome. I am a nationally registered vet tech and I recommended my clients to him also, I only hear back good things. D.S read more

We are so happy we found Christian! He is exceptional! Like any parent we only want the best for our "kids" and Christian is by far the best groomer. We've used other shops but there is no comparison to the kindness and quality of a visit from Christian's salon on wheels! And it is so nice not having to pack everyone in the car and leave them alone in a strange place. (You cat parents know what I mean! Never fun taking a cat for a car ride!). We have trusted Christian multiple times to groom our terrier mix dog and long haired tabby cat. Both need a gentle hand since we have our terrier's coat stripped and our cat is 16 years old. Christian handles them with care and compassion. They come out of the mobile salon looking fresh, clean, happy, and very well styled. No uneven fur or patches. Christian does a very thorough job. He is very professional but not stuffy. He definitely lets his affection for pets and his business shine through! Thank you Christian!!!!! read more

Christian came over this afternoon and groomed my labradoodle for the first time. My dog was heavily matted and has never done well at pet salons. I called Christian in the hopes that my dog's anxiety would decrease being groomed in front of our house and it worked! He was very patient with our dog and groomed him to perfection. read more

Seriously the best groomer in Orange County!!! He cares about every dog's well-being! Glad you're back, Christian! Christian is the only groomer my Pug Otto liked and we've been to many since he sold his DP shop. Excellent customer service, and more importantly, I can tell he really likes dogs and enjoys what he does. After Christian mentioned about her bad breath, I finally took her in to the vet for a teeth cleaning, and I'm so glad I did. She had to have 3 teeth extracted, and now she's back playing with her tennis ball. Otto thanks you, Christian! read more
