Then, not the health dept, but a coworker reaches out to me, I tell him all of the above, and I add that I cannot understand how your nurse was surprised that a sick dying scared cat bit her, my cat doesn't have rabies, and stop contacting me. This place also about 3 years ago saw My cat, said she had asthma, and gave me the shadiest instructions to contact a Canadian 3rd party pharmacy for the medicine and the face harness. She didn't have asthma, our old house was just dusty and her symptoms went away immediately after we moved. Total scammers.

The head vet, Linda, really tries to build a welcoming atmosphere, is extremely personable, and amazing with animals. She really tries to explain what is going on with your pet and will work with you to ensure you are getting the care you want for your furry friends. She has trained at Cornell and has a great working relationship with them, so I really feel like I'm getting great care for an affordable price. Because of that relationship, some of the lab work gets sent to Cornell and she also is not afraid to send serious cases to them. The rest of the staff is also awesome, from the front desk to the lab techs -- I feel they really care about your experience. They also have a boarding facility, which I have used -- I would recommend it. The staff is, again, really amazing and they get to know your pets so well. They rushed her off to Cornell and made arrangements for surgery, etc. They couldn't get ahold of us at the minute, so they took financial responsibility so as to not delay her care. They saved her life without a doubt, but more than that, because of their quick action, she did not suffer any more than she had to, and is expected to make a full recovery. We were not notified, nor was a vet consulted at the time of injury. By the time we fetched our pup 2-3 days later (Kevin could not say when it had happened) and discovered the half-dollar-sized wound, it was too late for our vet to apply stitches. We provided oral and topical antibiotics, performed ongoing, twice-daily soaking treatments, and revisited the vet, all of which led to eventual healing. Kevin did not call to check on the dog, did not offer reimbursement for vet or kennel fees, did not seem to feel any remorse for having inflicted damage to our dog (apparently due to "backing up the wheelchair"). Very worrisome and disappointing.
