My name is James & I'm from St. Mary's. Ont. I never held a high opinion of Pawn shops till I came across Pawn Stars of London on Face Book. I was shopping for a camera lens and thought I'd offer them an amount. It was not low or offensive, It was reasonable. After many back and forth counter bids I all but gave up except to my surprise the owner Mike accepted what I originally offered him. I was ecstatic. He said on FB he'd rather make a friend, than allow a few dollars separate us. I said I'd be there within the hour. When I arrived at 429 Hamilton Road, I was amazed how much stuff was in the store! Being a camera buff, I thought he could open a camera store, and I told him that. He welcomed me by name and invited me behind the counter to try out the lens. It worked and I bought it. While there, I observed how friendly, fair, honest and kind Mike the owner was to each customer. He did not take advantage of their personal financial or social situation. He looked at them like friends or family...not in a way to make a fast buck. I was impressed. He let those who wanted to buy, try their items out etc. What made my experience even more special was when I went to pay him I asked if he had any memory cards for sale for my camera. He pulled out a container and as he handed it to me he said, "No charge." I was blown away. I thanked him profusely for the super great deal on the camera lens, and his kindness for giving me a memory card . As I left I said, "Thank you Mike foe everything. I'll be back. Thanks most of all for becoming my friend. I never met Mike before, nor ever been in his store. But one thing for sure, if I ever need anything used, I'll be sure to check out Pawn Stars of London on Facebook, or visit his store on Hamilton Road. My name is James.
