As a service connected disabled veteran I lost money on a lay away because they only provide 30 days no exceptions. They are only interested in money, not good business. As much as it is possible, I'm asking all military, veterans, families, and first responders to stop doing business with Pawn King at all of their locations. I just finished speaking with a lady at Evans Mills location who said she is one of senior managers. She refused to offer me a store credit, nor anything else for the sake of good business. No clue why they have 1 star! Looks like some of the people just don't understand the point of a pawn shop. The guy was super friendly and gave me a really sweet deal. He didn't interrupt our interaction to take a call or go on his phone, and seemed like a funny guy. Got some movies and cool coins for a good price and the store itself was really clean and well-organized. What more can you ask for from a pawn shop? read more

This is an excellent pawn shop. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will try and get it for you. Also they are very fair with prices buying your items and selling theirs. Their buyback program has saved my butt more than once lol . read more

The guy that runs this store is a crook. I bought a sound bar from here. I asked him, are you sure it works because it wasn't plugged in at the time and he says I guarantee it works perfect. I get it home and the remote for the sound bar doesn't work so I bring it back 2 hours later. He originally started with well the sound bar works fine just the remote doesn't. He actually believes the logic that I would buy a used sound bar from him for 20$ cheaper than a new one at Walmart, and be okay getting up every time to change the volume..... He said no cash refunds. I said that's fine refund it to my card since you guaranteed me it worked and I put it on my card anyway. While he was trying to play with the sound bar he put my receipt in his pocket and tried to claim I never gave it to him. I told him I was going to call the police and go to JAG in the morning as well as call the better business bureau. He asked me why I was being a (jerk) about it. And that "it's a policy everyone knows, no returns" I asked where that was posted and he said it's just known. After I picked up my phone and said fine I'm calling the police he opened the drawer and gave me a cash refund. Maybe all the pawn kings aren't bad but this guy is scum of the earth. read more

This guy Is a crook ! My 8 year old grandson went in to see if he could sell his silver. I gave him 2 one ounce silver boullion coins. Right now silver is going for 17 dollars or so an ounce. He gave him $7.00 for both of them , which is $3.50 each ! I think my grandson had forgotten that I told him to call me first before he sold them , he was suppose to tell me how much they were offering. I know there are dishonest people everywhere, but to jip an 8 year old is a new low in my opinion! He knew the coins belonged to an 8 year old since he told my daughter he had to go through her instead. Wow , I guess this is how a coward steals from a child ! read more
