I come every 3 months for prescripts. I always look forward to the PX and commissary. I find most everything on my my list and everyone is so very nice and helpful. The prices are mostly less for me. I love post shopping! read more

It's always clean and well-stocked, I will give them that. However, what I hate is the self-checkout. You are immediately hounded by a customer service rep about your military ID, then half the time asked again in the middle of the transaction. It's been what a year and the self-checkout still doesn't accept cash? You have to go to customer service for cash, which doesn't help when the store is open 2 hours earlier but self-checkout only. Some people still carry cash consistently. The commissary can take cash at self-checkout, Walmart can, and Target can, what's taking so long? read more

Checkout lines are longer than they should be. Workers kinda just mope around like they hate working there. Other than that it's a ok place I've been here serval times. read more

I love shopping in the exchange because they have food, groceries and drinks at the same place cheaper than other stores and tax free saving. It is a small Plaza that provides so many goods at cheaper price and you save tax. Plenty of parking. read more

Their prices are really cheap and they sell lots of items that I've never seen before (especially coming from Canada). I saw some Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup flavoured chips! They have lots of limited edition foods, like on my last visit I saw Banana Creme Frosted Flakes, and special flavoured Oreos. It can be a bit messy in there, but hey it's a bargain outlet, so don't expect a shopping experience like you're going to a Williams-Sonoma, lol. The strip mall that this Ollie's is in is a bit rundown. This location is a bit more disorganized than others that I've been to in New York (I haven't been to any Ollie's in any other state though). There's lots of free parking.

But on to the task at hand. When we first went in, we thought we'd be able to access the mall through the Hobby Hut, but it turns out that it is self-contained, so we headed back out, and went through the mall via the JC Penney. This store felt perfect after being out in the summer heat - nice and cool from the AC, but not at all clammy or stuffy. We proceeded into the mall corridors, where most of the stores seemed like one of businesses, although there were some chains like Hot Topic and Spencer's. Many of the units were vacant, and the big amusement attractions were closed. There were very few people, so it felt so quiet as to be a bit disquieting. We had begun our search at Hobby Hut, but weren't surprised not to find what we were after there. We then tried a couple of other shops, but in vain. Finally, a couple of staff from different stores mentioned a store in the mall they both referred to as "selling mugs" and might have what we were looking for. We finally reached said store (Katrick Customs), and were relieved that we were able to accomplish our mission there. We availed ourselves of the washrooms while we were there, and they were spacious and decently clean. The taps worked, the dispensers had soap, there were paper towel dispensers and air dryers that were all in working order. It's too bad the mall doesn't have as much to offer as it clearly did in days past. If I were a local, I'd likely only be going there to pick up specific items rather than browse for fun.
