Macdonald), and has some of Canada's best fresh-water sailing. Luckily for the town, it has a gift shop like Waterfront to ensure one doesn't forget about this great place. First of all, we were sucked in by happenstance ... or very clever marketing ... as we had to go in the get our tickets for the Thousand Island Discovery Cruise inside the gift shop. That being said: Once you go in, there is an abundance of cool, high-quality stuff. I would hazard a guess that Waterfront has the city's best collection of Kingston-based apparel ... I draw this conclusion because since it has a deeper collection of gift-shop wares than the Kingston Visitor Info Centre (reviewed here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/kingston-visitor-information-centre-kingston). Hoodies, t-shirts, glasses, mugs, hats, boxer shorts, and the rest. You'll also find plenty of nautically themed stuff from shirts to lighthouses to books to model sailboats. To call it a "gift shop" would be an insult as they have so much fancy stuff: Scrubs, soaps, candles, watches, purses, wallets, jewelry, scarves, frou-frou gift baskets, high-end greeting cards (including some that are hand-drawn), and the rest. There are several high-quality brands including the sock puppets and stuffed animals of Cate & Levi; the hemp-heavy and fair-trade fashion of Ark Imports; the beauty and personal care products of Walton Wood Farm; and the vegan, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free skincare products of Kingston's own Shiva's Delight. And, oh, don't worry: PLENTY of maple. And #2: If you're into stuffed moose, I don't think you'll find a better selection in the Great White North :) So stop in ... even if you have to!

It had a bunch of Canada and Kingston merchandise since it's mostly a store for tourists, but they also have really cute/silly underwear! The stuff is definitely a little more expensive than what you'd find at other stores, but again, this is a store for tourists (mostly), so it makes sense that it's a tad more expensive. I was very surprised upon entering, all the neat decor they had. I instantly wanted to adorn my entire house in these things that reminded me of home. Many of the items are wooden. I purchased a wooden framed piece of art, and a t-shirt. The owner was very friendly and she has a great passion for the Adirondacks. Upon entering we found that this was not quite the case. There wasn't anything 5&10ish, not even a few penny/ super cheap candies for kids. This store is full of souvenirs that are pretty much the same as the other stores on the strip. Most of them are pretty cheesy but they had some decent options if you wanted a Christmas ornament or some cute lake house decor. There were plenty of t shirts, mugs, shot glasses, small items with a variety of peoples names printed on, etc. There were some items that didn't have Alexandria Bay or 1000 Islands plastered across which was good. I went to the store on May 29th and it looked almost done . At this point I was excited to get it and give it to my husband. I went back to the store June 12th to see what was going on, since I didn't get a phone call or text on the status of the coin holder and it wasn't open . I was ok that's fine I'll come back, I went back to the store. Every day for a week in the store was never opened. Eventually, I found them on Facebook and added them sent them a message asking what was going on. I kept getting the runaround on when to pick up and when it was going to be ready every day was a new excuse on why they couldn't meet up or give me the coin holder . Eventually on Monday May23rd I received the product. It definitely looked like it was just got thrown together with no care in the world. When I first approach this company to make my husbands coin holder, I gave them a reference photo of what I wanted. The only thing that looks remotely like the photo I gave them is the shape everything else looks horrible .when I received the coin holder I could tell it just got burned or glue because it smelled really bad . Before meeting that day he said he already had it done a couple days prior to meeting up, so I was questioning why it would smell like he just now finished it. I'm not sure if he just didn't care about the project or what it was but I was very disappointed especially since this was supposed to be a Father's Day gift/anniversary gift. The communication with this company was absolutely horrible. It definitely was not worth $360. I was highly disappointed because I was looking forward to it and thought it was gonna look absolutely beautiful. I am highly disappointed the owner could tell I was disappointed, because he even said himself "Oh, you don't even like it." if I was him and I knew a client didn't like something I would feel bad and try to get a refund or make a new one. But no, he acted like he didn't care that. I didn't like the product at all, also at this point I was so over him . I just hope this review gifts another person a spotlight on how this company operates . The communication is horrible, The product is horrible, the quality is terrible.
