I love how thorough they are at check in and the solid work in keeping our doggos healthy, clean and looking good. They are honest abut pricing and timelines. They have groomed a chihuahua, Lhasa apso, and a golden retriever. So all sizes and all dispositions, with amazing results. Mike was my most recent groomer. He groomed my service dog. I was worried about taking my dog to a new groomer. Mike put me right at ease. He is a compassionate, caring human and a phenomenal groomer. Use the app, and they will let you know when your pup is ready and you can pay online. Which is super helpful of you have any pet sitters or family helping out with dog care. I recommend this shop without reservation.

We were recently in Dothan for a visit with family and our pup was in tow. We were in such a hurry…read moreto get out of Birmingham and beat traffic, that everything was thrown together. In the scramble, Shug's food was left out of the packed luggage. We use a very specific brand (being the diva that she is), and we didn't want to just grab a random dog food that could potentially upset her stomach. After looking on the dog food's website, For Pet's Sake popped up as the only retailer in Dothan that carried our brand. Upon arrival, we started exploring the food shelves. We could not find it. The pet store we use in Birmingham is so incredibly accommodating, that other places are always compared to it. It took a little while longer of our aimless searching for someone to help us than our normal spot would have. They are always asking right out of the gate if there is anything they can help with (and love on our dog immediately). Once again, we are spoiled. Once we did talk to someone, they informed us that they can only special order our food. But they don't carry it in stock anymore. A little disappointed. But I blame the website more than the shop. My only other complaint is that their website didn't have regular hours on it. Still had July 4th hours posted without any indication as to what their normal hours are. Other than that, they have a great selection of treats. Especially their baked treats. Way more house made treats than I have seen in any other pet store BY FAR! We tested out a few for Shug and she absolutely loved them. We don't typically need a pet store out of town. But if I ever do in Dothan again, this will be where I head.

rude and very unprofessional. was traveling through dothan and called to see if our two small dogs…read more(both are shih tzu mix - one bichon and one maltese) could be bathed and trimmed, i explained that the youngest had been ill last year with spinal meningitis and was on medication and could not take rabies shot. had letter from vet explaining this situation and could bring proof of rabies shot for the older dog and letter from vet. was told that would be fine and a 9:00am appointment for nov 24 was set. we showed up at 8:50am and two young ladies came out to meet my wife at the car and removed our girls harnesses and placed their leases on them and wisked them inside. there were people doing this for all dogs in parking lot and we were not asked anything about the dogs. just figured they had told people about our youngest dog and things were okay. my wife and i proceeded to go to a restaurant for breakfast. about 20 minutes into our ordering and waiting for our meal, my wife received a call from the groomer stating they could not work on our dogs because she overheard a conversation where my wife had said we were regular customers. she lied, that conversation never happened. also stated we did not bring letters from home vet. another lie. my wife called her on both lies and the groomer became very rude and told us to come and get our dogs that since it was past 9:00am even if we had letters they could would not groom our girls. very childish, lying and down right rude from those that are supposed to be professionals. i would not let them wash our take care of a pet rock let alone our precious girls.

With that said, the first thing I want to mention is how INCREDIBLY close this location is to Fort Rucker! It is such a short drive from the Faulkner gate! Second of all, Carol's prices are more than reasonable. It was $40 (not including tip) for a full grooming service on my mini poodle! Last, Carol's responsiveness and punctuality was amazing. Although I was scheduled for 12pm appointment, she called me as soon as she had a cancelation available at an earlier time. It was really thoughtful. Beyond that, it only took her 45 min to groom my boy! This was AWESOME compared to other places that require you to leave your pup for a few hours at a time, due to the queue of other dogs they have waiting. Overall, this was a great experience and it will keep me coming back for sure! She did such a great job on grooming my boy, he came out looking so so beautiful!

She didn't even look as if she been bathed or blown out. Charge ridiculous amount and didn't even bother to tell us she was not groomed. If I'd picked her up i would have demanded no charge. Anyway, took her back to my original groomer today who had been out sick and my baby was so matted .. will never ever take her there again her pic below after just been picked up from Nightmare Puppys.
