Really simple! Outstanding Company and owner. I was desperately looking for a company who could…read morehelp with last minute outdoor concrete steps and slab work. I was fortunate enough to meet Steve (Owner) who ensured that the work was done within a couple of days. With short notice that short time response was so appreciated. The work was to its perfection as well, including the price. Steve and his team went out of their way to help with an attic door issue as well (Perfection). You can't go wrong with Champion and Steve.

The work done is acceptable, some of it after being redone (water spouts were done sloppily and the water half flowed and half trickled... he felt this was finished and I asked to have it redone) but I have a bad taste in my mouth every time I look at my pool :/ we called him off when it became clear we needed new pool equipment so we could go with someone else and both bids we've gotten have pointed out the shoddy application of the pebbletech. Maybe it was just an off job, but if you use Champion you need to know exactly what you want before you talk to them- they will not help you to design or even understand- it's a railroad operation to get you to do the easiest thing for them. There was a lot of denying and blaming of others. And you need to know what good work looks like, and I've never had a pool in my life, so I didn't. There were square footage calculations that required additional tile purchases mid-application. Questions were glossed over. He's very strident about documenting that you agreed with something, even if it's friendly ("I like that one" "YOU APPROVED IT!")- a general defensiveness that just screams, "I'm expecting you to come at me so I'm coming at you first!!" It creates a tense atmosphere that's totally unnecessary. Again, we all have jobs that go bad, and he'd probably review me as a dumb broad who didn't know what she was doing... but I think that's most people and I thought I'd hired a company to guide me through it

He goes the extra mile to ensure everything is done correctly, and it shows in his work. He's helped fix my lights and water sensors, and I haven't had a single issue since. Watching him in action really gave me confidence that I'm in good hands. Don't hesitate to reach out to Maui Pools, they're amazing. What's even more impressive is that they don't ask for reviews; they're just a hardworking, family-owned business doing things the right way. Try not to get discouraged my the other reviews on here. They're basically other people mad because their home warranty didn't approve their claim. Thanks again, Frankie!

They reported to the warranty company that the issue was caused by an "ongoing leak" -- but offered no explanation, no evidence, and no visual confirmation of this supposed leak. When I called to ask for clarification -- where is the leak, and shouldn't we address that first if it's causing the motor issue? -- I was met with incredibly rude and dismissive behavior. The woman who answered the phone refused to let me speak with the technician (Frankie) who made the claim and told me the only way forward was to pay out of pocket for a separate service call. I was willing to do that -- I just wanted to understand what exactly they found. She flat-out refused, said the technicians don't speak with homeowners, and hung up on me. This experience was not only frustrating -- it was completely unethical. To make a claim that could impact a homeowner's warranty coverage, and then refuse to explain that claim or allow any communication with the technician, is unacceptable. Our hot tub is also professionally serviced three times a week by our pool company, who checks for everything -- including leaks. There has been zero evidence of any leak. We are responsible homeowners who address every issue promptly. I was even happy to pay for a repair out of pocket -- with a proper explanation. But this company's refusal to provide transparency or accountability speaks volumes. If you're dealing with a home warranty issue, I strongly recommend requesting a different service provider. Maui Pool Services is unprofessional, uncommunicative, and unethical.

Adam Johnson, the owner of the company is a scammer that works for the Home Warranty Companies…read more He was sent as a second opinion to the other scammer they sent. Let's face it, Home Warranty companies hate paying for pool repairs and will use every excuse in the book to get out of it. When Adam came to the house, I sat and watched everything he did, being skeptical after the first guy they sent. He found that the transformer was not functioning, and needed to order that part before seeing if there were any other issues, because the transformer supplied the power, and with no power, he was unable to check anything else. He made it seem as if he would rush them the report that night, in hopes to get an answer by the next day so that he could come back and install it. I was trying to get it fixed for a tenant that was moving in and was only in town another day. Next day went by and heard nothing. A week went by and still heard nothing. Finally I called the Warranty company (Old Republic), and asked what's up. They told me that everything is denied because his report said the damage was due to rodents. There was no evidence at all of any rodent activity, yet he said there was rodent excrement all over the unit in his report. That unit was spotless when he examined it. I had vacuumed out all leaves and any debris before he got there. He was purely making this up in his head because he thought the first report mentioned rodent activity which it did not. I don't know where he got that, but probably something the warranty company wanted him to state in his report in order to deny the claim...even though the warranty company told me they never give the second guy the first company's report, but they obviously told him something about rodents to look out for because that's what his whole report was about...even going so far as to say the other components which he couldn't even test because the transformer was not working, were all damaged by rodents. When I first called to cuss him out, he told me on the phone that the bottom was all covered in rodent poop. I asked him to send me pictures because I knew better and then he hung up on me. He later texted me saying that there was no debris whatsoever in the unit, and that I had it cleaned before he got there, and by vacuuming it out, I must have caused the transformer to stop working, since the bad transformer was not in the first report. He also blamed any rust he saw on rodent urine. How about the fact that the unit was 20 years old, and Oxygen alone will rust metal especially over that long of a period. But no, it was definitely rodent urine according to him. Pure speculation without any evidence at all to benefit only the Home Warranty company. Shows how biased he was to provide the warranty company with something that they can deny any repairs for. Bottom line is he is a big liar, just like the person in the other review stated. I attached copies of his text to me which proves what a liar he is regarding any rodent activity....that he made it all up. I plan to sue him for the cost of a new pool heater, since he falsified his report to the warranty company to get them to deny the claim.
