During these updates to The Palm Desert Aquatic Center there are terrific events taking place such as The Nick Nigosian Memorial Car Show! Nick Nigosian's legacy is celebrated through the annual Nick Nigosian Memorial Car Show, which benefits local charities and honors his passion for cars and agriculture. Nick owned a beautiful 1926 Buick, which is featured as a significant part of the car show's 2026 event, marking the car's 100th anniversary! The car show, organized by the Palm Springs Cruisin' Association and Nicks son,Michael Negosian,draws large crowds and supports local causes-a testament to Nick's impact on the community. The event benefits organizations like the Friends of the Date Festival, which supports 4H, FFA, and agriculture students showing animals at the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival. Taking place date grove at The Palm Desert Aquatic Center pays tribute to Nick's lifelong passion for agriculture and growing dates.
