We've dropped our four-legged kiddo Woodson off at a few boarders and they've done great with him, but walking into Paw Vivant felt like we were walking into a home. You can tell Elise and her family truly love what they do and the dogs they take care of. After a quick daycare stay, we knew this was the place that we'd be bringing Woodson to when we had to leave town. He came back so happy and, most importantly, tired. Plus, getting report cards and photos of him having fun put our hearts and minds at ease. We cannot wait to send him back for some fun and excitement with his pawsome friends.

Elise is amazing!! This is my first time boarding my baby Teddy and I'm super glad I found Paw Vivant. The facility is super clean and Elise really takes good care of all the fur babies. When you drop ur dog off, she makes sure all the questions and needs are met so your doggie can have the best time. I really appreciated that, so from the moment I dropped him off, I knew he was in good hands. I absolutely adored the report cards and photo updates of Teddy, it seemed like he was having a blast! As soon as he got home, he immediately went to bed and knocked tf out as he was so tired from his 4 day stay. It's funny to hear how his personality is like with other dogs he's having sleepovers with LOL

I want to take a moment to appreciate the staff at paw vivant ! I recently boarded my 9 year old dog for 10 days for the first time. We spent some time prior having him spend the day here . The staff is really friendly and goes above and beyond to ease a nervous mom like me ! He made friends both dogs and people and even attended a birthday party while there ! Their kindness and personal care is one of a kind . I highly recommend paw vivant Thank you to everyone!! Bentley has his home away from home

Elise has been taking care of Nala since 2023 back when she was active on Rover. I'm so happy she has her own dog boarding facility. Nala absolutely loves spending time with Elise and her puppy pals. Elise sends the cutest updates through photos and videos and puts our minds at ease while we're away. She is the most thoughtful and attentive sitter we've had. One time she even cleaned Nala's tartar off her teeth! I was amazed at how she did that lol I 10/10 recommend Paw Vivant/Elise for all your dog daycare and boarding services!

We found a place we can trust to board Shadow, an Australian Shepherd. Elise had been amazing throughout the whole process. First, we scheduled a meet and greet and later scheduled a one-night boarding stay trial. Shadow did well and already didn't want to leave the place! We decided to book 12 days boarding so we could leave for a vacation. One night before we left, Shadow started to limp! We took Shadow to the veterinarian and were given medications for muscle pain. We informed Elise, and she was understanding and followed the instructions for medication, monitored his condition, and limited his physical activity as the veterinarian instructed. Every day while we were on vacation, we received a report card on how Shadow was doing along with pictures, and I could tell how much fun Shadow had when he was there. Shadow will definitely be going back there again soon! Highly recommended for your future furbaby's stay.

My husband and I thankfully found Elise on Rover in 2023. At the time, we didn't trust anybody with our fur babies but we inevitably needed somebody to watch them while we went on a vacation. Probably one of the best decisions i've ever made was booking with Elise. We honestly couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with our dogs now. From the very beginning she has been incredibly attentive and communicative. She sends frequent updates (but will minimize the updates per request), photos, and videos so we always know how our pups are doing, which gives us so much peace of mind when we're away. Our dogs absolutely love her, and it's obvious she genuinely cares about them like they're her own. What started as boarding at her home has now grown into a full business, she followed her dream! The space is beautiful and very clean. She has a dog shower station, two rooms with multiple crates, a gated play area, and even a makeshift backyard with turf so the dogs have a safe place to run around and play. Booking is super simple using the Gingr app- and on there she'll update report cards to let us know how they're doing. She always goes the extra mile with little touches too. She sends the dogs home with cute goodie bags that include treats and a Polaroid photo, which we love keeping. She has also bathed and groomed our dogs while they stayed with her. They can be a little sassy during shower and drying but she does amazing! One thing we really appreciate is how thoughtful she is about the dogs' care. She always checks with owners before giving any extra treats, and she has helped administer medication for our dogs when needed. There was even a time when both of our dogs needed extra medical attention and close observation, and she handled everything calmly and responsibly. That level of trust means a lot to us. She's also super accommodating with special requests. After one of our longer vacations, we asked if she could film our dogs' reaction when they saw us again, and she made sure to capture the whole moment. If you're looking for someone who is responsible, communicative, and truly loves the dogs she watches, we can't recommend her enough. Our dogs get the zoomies when we say Elise's name. We thank you so much Elise + brother + mom, Bruno & Bella love you guys!

WE LOVE PAWVIVANT!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pawvivant and Elise. Before finding them, my dogs had not been doing well at other boarding facilities. They would come home completely exhausted, stressed, and even seemed traumatized. I noticed weight loss after stays, and it was heartbreaking. As a small dog owner, it's incredibly hard to find a place where little dogs don't get lost in the shuffle or overwhelmed by larger groups. Pawvivant is completely different. From the moment we connected with Elise, I knew this was special. My dogs were treated like family -- truly. It felt less like a boarding facility and more like they were staying at someone's loving home, surrounded by fun, friendly doggos in a safe and cozy environment. The play space is clean, airy, and welcoming, with music softly playing in the background. It feels calm, happy, and thoughtfully designed. They even threw a birthday party for one of my pups -- decorations, celebration, and SO many adorable photos! Another day included a field trip to a local park. It's clear the dogs aren't just supervised -- they're engaged, loved, and having genuine fun. I received daily report cards along with photos and videos, and Elise was always reachable and in constant contact. The communication alone gave me such peace of mind. My dogs had the BEST time -- and for the first time ever, I'm not anxious about future boarding. That says everything. They offer both boarding and daycare, and I especially recommend Pawvivant to small dog owners who want a place that truly understands little dogs' needs. Elise was even caring for a rabbit during the same week, so if you have a pet that's hard to board, definitely give her a call. Finding Pawvivant has been a complete game changer for us. Five stars isn't enough.

Our goldendoodle, Teddy, has been boarding with Elise since 2024 and it has always been exceptional experiences working with her. We receive frequent updates and photos from Elise and Teddy has never looked happier. Elise is professional, organized, and well educated about dogs. We were so excited to hear that she opened up a facility that still remains in Fremont. Paw Vivant is very clean and has that indoor/outdoor feel so Teddy can get all the fresh air he needs. We are so lucky to have found Elise and look forward to Teddy's future adventures at Paw Vivant.

My pup started boarding here a few months ago. Elise and her staff have created such a homelike environment at Paw Vivant. Indoor/outside play, couches for the pups and plenty of attention. It is clean and the sleep area has spacious crates for ultimate relaxation. They have overnight staff so pups are never alone. They send daily pupdates with plenty of photos. My pup dashes into the gate when we drop him for boarding.

Play area for dogs

Paw Vivant place and staff are amazing. They are so kind people, professional and always careful. The place itself is beautiful and well designed for dogs experience. Our dog has been already there few times and we love the reports cards and pictures! We have a female dachshund, We feel Paw Vivant is a favorite place for our dog because every time we pick her up she looks so happy and appears to us she wants to stay longer than scheduled. We will keep bringing her for daycare.

We have been boarding our Maltese, Musubi, with Elise since 2023, and she is truly the best pet sitter we have ever come across. We tried many sitters on Rover before finding her, and none even come close. Musubi was a pandemic puppy and had pretty bad separation anxiety early on. He was also a little aggressive and anxious around other dogs. Thanks to Elise's patience, care, and experience, he is now a completely different dog. Whenever we pick him up, he is happy, calm, and well adjusted. We were so shocked when she sent us videos of him happily playing with big dogs! He even gets visibly excited when he realizes we are about to drop him off with her, which says everything. Elise goes above and beyond in her care. She sends frequent photo updates and always lets us know how he is doing, whether he is eating well, getting along with other dogs, going on walks, and even how his potty breaks are going. Sometimes she will groom him before we pick up him after a long trip, and he comes back looking and smelling fresh with trimmed nails, a cute haircut, and tear stains gone (a struggle for white dogs). It gives us so much peace of mind when we are away. Her new commercial facility, Paw Vivant, is absolutely beautiful. The space is spotless and thoughtfully designed. It honestly feels like a bed and breakfast for dogs, I almost want to stay there myself. There is a great outdoor turf area for playtime, and the overnight rooms are spacious with air conditioning and security cameras so you know your dog is safe and comfortable. Knowing there will also be overnight staff makes it even more reassuring. I truly cannot recommend Elise and Paw Vivant enough. There is a reason she has so many repeat clients. If you are looking for someone who genuinely loves and understands dogs and treats them like family, this is the place.

Happy dog

HAPPINESS We've had such a great experience here. My dog absolutely loves coming--she doesn't even look back when I drop her off, which says everything. It's clear she's excited and comfortable every time. SAFETY I also have complete peace of mind leaving her with Elise. I know Rey is in good hands, getting plenty of care, attention, and stimulation while playing with other dogs. It's such a relief to have a place I trust this much. RELATIONSHIP Elise takes care to document our puppy's time during boarding. It gives me peace of mind and I love getting our "PUPDATES". Elise is an excellent communicator. I've also really enjoyed getting to know Elise - she has been boarding Rey since Rey was a puppy, so I'm very happy that she opened her own facility so that Rey can stay with Elise whenever we travel. Highly recommend!

If i could give more stars i would give 10. We were in a real pinch and very unsatisfied with previous boarding places. Elise and the staff were great. My dogs came home so tired. I could tell they took care of them so well. If you haven't yet, check out Paw Vivant.

I do want to mention that the staff was friendly on each of my accounts. I went in hopeful--the tour was a nice gesture, and I appreciated that they offer cameras for monitoring. Unfortunately, the week I brought my dog in, the cameras were down due to Wi-Fi issues, which I understand can happen. However, my concerns started after the first day. When I picked Maui up, he urgently needed to go poo. After we got home (about a 45-minute drive), he drank almost an entire bowl of water. This made me question whether he was being given enough water or regular opportunities to relieve himself during the day. The same thing happened the second day. When I picked him up, he immediately drank water from a bowl they had outside immediately and had an extremely long pee--lasting over a minute--which again made me feel like he wasn't being let out frequently enough. On top of that, I noticed a very unpleasant smell coming from him in the car. When I checked, there were stains on his chin and belly that smelled far worse than urine. This raised concerns about cleanliness, either in the kennels or play areas (which were not included in the tour). I truly wanted this to be a good, budget-friendly option, but based on my experience, I would rather pay more elsewhere to ensure my dog is properly cared for. Saving money isn't worth compromising my pet's well-being.

However, I can safely say that I don't recommend applying to Club K9 unless you want to end up working for free, thanks to a company which blatantly violates state employment laws. My college-aged daughter was interviewed by and then offered a job by Club K9 in summer 2026. She was told that she would probably be rotated between their Castro Valley and Sunol locations depending on need. She loves animals and had previous experience working at a pet hotel, so she was very excited to start. The manager who hired her told her to come in on a particular date to learn the job from a current front desk employee. My daughter asked if she would need to do onboarding that day too, since of course CA requires that employees receive pay for training. The manager told her, "Oh, well, we don't call it 'training.' Let's just call it 'shadowing.'" My daughter found that odd since she's had other jobs and always had to do onboarding before training, but she didn't think much of it. She went in for several hours on the requested date for her "training"/"shadowing" and said afterward that she felt she'd done a good job and that the young woman whom she shadowed that day also gave her positive feedback. She asked what her official start date would be and was told she'd receive an email or text in about a week. Again...SHE HAD BEEN OFFERED THE JOB. She was told previously, before the "shadowing" day, by a manager, that she was HIRED. Well, she never heard from Club K9 again. After almost a week had passed, she called and only got voicemail, so she left messages--all were ignored. Finally, she drove to the Castro Valley location to ask what was up. The manager who had originally HIRED her was surprised to see her. She admitted to my daughter that what Club K9 does is that they "hire" multiple people, then have them come in a work FOR FREE for a day, to see who they think is the best fit. That's why they say, "Oh, we don't call it 'training.'" THEY KNOW THEY ARE BREAKING STATE LAW. The other s***** thing, besides the illegality of this, is that my daughter stopped applying for jobs for about two weeks because she'd been OFFERED A JOB by Club K9, so of course she stopped looking elsewhere. When you are unemployed, especially in a tight job market, that's valuable time you can't get back. Also, the week that my daughter found out Club K9 had scammed her, there was a news story about how they let a dog drown at their location in Santa Barbara. The millionaire family who owns Club K9 should be sued, for many reasons.
