I've been going to this farmer's market for a few months. To me, it's worth the 20 minute drive from my Sugar Land house. It's bigger than most farmer's markets, but not too big. The place is owned and run by family. All of them are very nice. The guy farms several vegetables himself. The other fruit and veggies he gets from the area distributors. This makes for some fresh produce and a lot better than what you get in the grocery stores. His prices are reaonable and compare (if not cheaper) to HEB. Like any place that sells fresh produce, sometimes you might get a bad peach or such. However, 99% of the time I've always had good fruit and vegetables from them. They also sell some jar items, but never tried them. If you go, you might want to call first because they are seasonal. I think they close down after November. If you go out Hwy 36 from Rosenberg watch for the red "Open" sign. The turn off road is right across Hwy 36 from a concrete yard. My one and only complaint is having to cross a busy railroad track to get in. read more

This is the ultimate farmers market. Good to great produce, well selected. The ambiance is a good farmers market with powered coolers, produce like apples, tomatoes, potatoes, cantalope, many varieties of squash, some beef- kept cold, washed beans. The list goes on. Jams and jellies on the sides. A gear place to go. Georgia peaches were beyond outstanding. Cantalope was good. Haven't sampled everything but after three trips we're good. Ambiance is only produce and associate product, no artisans so far. If you're looking for bracelets this isn't the place. Folks are friendly here and are more than willing to help. If you're looking for the lowest price this isn't the place, but it is higher quality than Wally World when it comes the item for item. I'll pay the difference given the taste. read more

First time visiting Farmers Market Pavlock Farms in Rosenberg during its weekly farmers market hours. Owners were so friendly and welcoming. They don't grow all the produce, some are from other farms. There's a variety of fresh vegetables, canned delights, frozen meats, and drinks inside a large open, airy, very clean building. read more

Pavlock Farms off Hwy 90 in Rosenberg is a great little market for fresh veggies, etc. The nicest folks work there, and the vegetables are great when in season. They have other products in refrigeration, meats, bacon, sausage, as well as local Honey from Wharton, I believe. It's worth the drive, and the road (Hwy 36) is now back open at Rosenberg, so it's easier to get to their farm. read more

Love coming out to this place for fresh vegetables and fruits. Reminds me of the old vegetable stands in Hempstead growing up.

Incredibly fresh produce, great variety, surprisingly low prices, all out on a quaint farm in Rosenberg TX. The owners put a strong emphasis on providing home-grown and local produce in their bountiful market. The lack of rain has impacted us all, farmers perhaps the hardest, so in order to continue running a substantial produce market they've had to outsource a few of their items out of state. Think of this like a cross between Canino's and a farmers market-- Canino's in the sense that it's all great quality, reasonable prices, but largely conventionally grown and some of it out of state. It's like the farmers markets we know and love as they offer items like free range organic eggs, and multiple types of produce from their farm and ones like Froberg's nearby. Here's an idea what you'll find: Okra, patty pan squash, cucumbers, pinto beans (Pavlock) Zucchini, squash, peppers, onion, tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon (Texas) Apples (California) Peaches (Georgia) More fruits and veggies I'm forgetting Prepared items like Local sausage (in fridge and freezer) Frozen hulled peas and beans Jars of fruit, jams, salsas, dressings (produced for Pavlock from a little business outside of Lufkin) Trail mix Prices: Really very much on par with the grocery store and sometimes cheaper, potatoes ~49c/lb, onions ~79c/lb, avocados ~1.49/ea, and *super farm fresh OKRA 99cents/lb*!! All in all, though I'll still look forward to those little organic farmers markets around town, for me Pavlock can largely take the place of big grocery store produce shopping because the produce is outstandingly fresh, the people are so nice, and the prices are great at this wonderful little market. can largely take the place of buying conventional produce at the big grocery stores and even Canino's but I'll still look forward to those little organic farmers markets around town as well. read more

Thank goodness for Pavlock Farms. My family and I have been going there for the past couple years. We love the garden fresh okra, cucumbers, tomatoes, purple hull peas, and yellow squash. They have a wide variety of fruits, veggies, fresh farm eggs, pickled items, canned jellies and jams, and I believe even salad dressings. The prices are very fair and I always feel like I got more than my money's worth. Most of the items are grown right in the fields behind the store. I've actually been there when they were walking in with buckets from the field...can't get more local or fresh than that!!! Pavlock Farms is located right outside of Rosenberg. If you follow 36 as if you were going to Orchard or Wallis, you can't miss the big sign to your right. It's just a little ways down Huntington Road...you can't miss it. read more

I feel indifferent about this little roadside market. I love that it's affordable and local owned, however, I wish that all the produce was at least local. After finding out that it isn't all produce from their farm and that they order from other farms around the country for other items, it kind of threw me for a loop. I try to eat local and organic and if it's not organic and it's local, that is perfectly ok. They do have local pan sausage and farm fresh eggs...as well as different chutneys, salsas, and preserves that are their brand which is neat! Everything is very affordable. They have fresh produce but you are not going to find everything here that you would at a grocery store but they definitely carry staples. I enjoy in the summertime that they sell local watermelons, which are awesome and so flavorful! They layout is really great. It's set up like an outdoor grocery store with shopping baskets and all. Everything is clean and organized very nicely. I love also that it is family owned and the whole family works there and helps out, even the kids. I would recommend this place if: A) you're on a budget and want to eat fresh foods B) you like supporting local businesses C) you hate the grocery stores like myself read more

I don't buy my produce from grocery stores when Pavlocks is open.Their prices are cheaper and are of superior quality.I wish they were open all year.
