Balconies on some of the second floor rooms. Coffee shop downstairs and 24 hour water and coffee available. Lovely two story seating area and back deck on 2nd floor. Excellent location on Main Street within walking distance of many restaurants. Leigh was super helpful and patient with our indecision on whether to stay one nights or two. we opted for two. Would happily stay here again. Not a lot open in mid April but we did visit New To You, Loud American Bar & Grill and Rossini Gypsy Tattoo Parlor, Uncle Louie's and Red's Bar & Grill. These rooms are unique, clean and comfy. Original (?) tin ceilings. Motorized shades for windows.

For some reason the receptionist booked us at a more expensive rooms. We didn't realize until the next day seeing the receipt email. It was all very strange, but the manager did make it right the next day thankfully. I would recommend booking online to avoid any confusion. The location is right on the main drag- in walking distance of everything you need and next to the rallies. The hotel is historic and completely renovated in a mix of original and modern. Original detailed ceilings and exposed brick was really special. The rooms were great! All the rooms have two beds in a loft. (You might need to bring luggage up stairs for one of the beds.) Two very large beds- I thought they were supposed to be queen but I think they were kings. The sheets are buttery soft and the mattress was perfection. I travel full time and this is one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've been in. We stayed in 210 & 208 both window rooms- 210 had a window that was low enough to open the blinds to get natural light and peep out, but 208 was much higher- both cool rooms. The balconies rooms would be well worth the price if you were staying for a rally. Cool cafe downstairs. House coffee is included with the stay- 3 blends available. There was no basic black coffee- I am a basic black coffee girl- so I was scared- but the blends were very subtle flavoring and delicious. They have a full cafe with lots of great sounding drinks.

The breakfast was scrambled eggs, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, we had biscuits and gravy that morning and the coffee was just right. They also had apple juice and orange juice. But the thing that I want you to be aware of is that they've done a retrofit on some of their locks and so our room 109 needed repair. We would not have been aware of it if somebody hadn't tried to get into our room, he was at the wrong room, but he was able to open the door and thank gosh I had the safety lock on , I told the front desk and they will work on it, but I just wanted you to be aware of this particular room. You can check it to make sure your room is not in the retrofit selection without your key. See if you can open the door. even if the deadbolt is thrown. Ya'll have a blessed vacation.

He said I used "some" amenities and should not expect all amenities to be available.... Such as s staff member on site on duty, or breakfast. Stephen Holmes, CEO of Wyndham, perhaps dirty motels and rude managers with zero integrity are the reason Choice Hotels is fighting your hostile takeover..: Choice has quality control standards and customer service standards. Also President Geoff Ballotti. Finally found Geoff's contact info and left a message with his assistant.

Lodging [Sturgis SD]…read more Booked 3 nights here... well, you get what you pay for but we were out most of the day so it did its job. The place is outdated and could use some updates. It was nice that it was easy access to the I-90 freeway. The place had ample parking. Room had a King size bed and basic amenities. Free Wi-Fi. Bed was good, we woke up with no bug bites. The electrical sockets w/ USB ports were all useless, though, they were all loose and will not charge our phones. Free continental breakfast served between 6:00a-9:00a. The lady that checked us in was friendly and helpful. She gave us some tips of food places around. Well, I would not like to be here in August which is the annual motorcycle rally celebrating 84 years of the world's largest biker party on the planet! That's 10 days and nights of riding, food, and music. 500,000 riders, concert fanatics, and street-food... and it all starts next weekend, Aug 2-11, 2024. Review #3489

Here are the good and the bad for this hotel:…read more Good: 1. The location of the hotel is nice, it is right in the center of all the major attractions in the area. 2. The pool is a nice size and a good temperature for an indoor pool. 3. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the room (also part of the bad). Bad: 1. The hotel is dirty, the carpet in the rooms looks 20+ years old and looks like a carpet cleaner has not been used in 5 years. 2. They are short handed on staff. They have specific towels for the pool area, but since there was only the front desk person they ran out of towels and there wasn't any other employees to wash and dry the towels. 3. We stayed for 5 days. At no time during our stay did staff come to check on the room (replace towels, replace the toilet paper, empty trash). 4. The bathroom door would not close unless it was forced really hard. It also is extremely small. Just enough room for a tub and a toilet. 5. There is water stains on the ceiling of the room and out in the pool area. 6. The mini-fridge has no freezer. 7. The room did not have an ice bucket to use with the ice machine. 8. The TV in the room, after 5 minutes or so, the sound and the picture don't match up. 9. The lamps are old and the outlets and the base have been used so much that they don't actually work when something is plugged into them.
