I have a friend that that I talk to daily. It is in unbelievable how they have taken things away…read morefrom the residents. They used to have outings once a week, now two a month and church is considered an outing. An outing used to be going out to lunch. This month it is a a scenic trip in the middle of March in Wisconsin.? Scenic? For about an hour. Not much programmed during the day. Only one puzzle area in the entire residence. They have cut back on bingo. These are things the residents enjoy. In the morning they can go down to the Bistro and share one newspaper. They have to wait to read it. Can't they afford more than one newspaper? They certainly charge enough to live there. The food ($9.00 a meal) is, most of the time, over cooked or undercooked, and very small portions, My friend is a small eater and she even says they are small portions. The food is the biggest complaint of all. I know you can't please everyone, but they can try.. It seems a lot of the time students who work there part time are the cooks. If you skip a meal because you are sick or not there, you are still charged for it. It used to be if you missed a day you could have a meal the next day. They stopped that also. If food is rated poorly the residents will move. I'm sure that is a reason residents move. I know that firsthand Parking, being a visitor, many times there isn't room to park. I have to park on the other side of the building. Being elderly also I don't appreciate that. They charge so much for parking inside the residents can't afford it. So the residents park outside. They rather have empty inside parking then lower the inside parking spaces. Instead they raise the price. If someone falls during the night there isn't anyone there to help someone get into the person's apartment. The turnover of the help is unbelievable. Obviously they are not good to work for. Always very short of help. Wake up New Perspectives!

I would not put my parents here. I have been hearing stories from friends who USED TO live there. They say they would not go back. I heard the staff are friendly and they would help. No matter if they were short staffed, they would do their best to try to get to the next person.

Lasata Senior Living Campus - Because there really is nothing else to do at a Nursing Home...

Poppa's temporary home…read more.. Pretty standard for a nursing home type facility; splendid smell comes at no extra charge. There's a lot of coughing, a lot of "help me, help me" and a few strange patients including, but not limited to a) the whistle guy who, you guessed it, is ALWAYS whistling, b) the lady with purple headphones who just turned 100 who wants to know who drew the "no smoking" sign and c) the lady who repeatedly asks, "what if there's a fire?" Cool place, but let's hope Poppa (what I call my Grandpa) can return home soon. Until then, bring on the wheelchairs, hand sanitizer, oxygen tanks, and crazy cute old people.

In my younger years I use to volunteer at this Nursing home and thought it was pretty cool, a great…read morehome for the aging. Well now that I/we have had to utilize this property for rehabilitation/assisted living for my Mom, it is absolutely horrible. With in the first 4 days of being here, our Mom fell multiple times, she was placed in quarantine and no one could visit her to see what was actually taking place, because she came from a hospital setting. Once her 14 day quarantine was up, even with the Lasata Staffing knowing that they had a positive Covid testing of an employee, they moved our Mom to a different room, to start another 14 day quarantine. Luckily we were able to find and secure a new living facility for her, with in a weeks time, only to get her and see that her leg, ankle and foot were swollen. When Lasata was questioned no one would return call soft over a day. When they did call back they more or less said not our problem she's not enrolled with us any more. What a heartless caring staff you are Lasata - from the conference calls to now having a Mother in worse shape since her arrival to your facility proves / answers my unanswered questions - it's all about the money and the number of residents you keep- there is NO CARE for the resident or their families. Sham on you all!!
