Cute modern space a few steps away from Gresham Transit Center. I love love love the little wooden booths they have. They make good coffee and have some light bites. I appreciate that they offer cold brew as well as pour overs. Coffee fans unite! That's also non coffee options like kombucha, chai and matcha. The breakfast sandwich (available anytime) was nice and filling. The staff was very friendly and talked about the space. We're not usually in Gresham so it was cool to get a bit of history on the building and that this place hopes to fill that same intentional community space for people in Gresham. They did forget that our order was to go, but prob got side tracked from our conversation. No biggie!

Walking through the doors of Pause Coffee Lab is like walking into a whole different city. You forget you're in Gresham, Oregon and immediately feel like you're in a cozy coffee shop in a Lifetime movie. The vibe is hard to explain. It's chic and sophisticated with a mix of cozy and comfortable. You'll have to pop in and see what I mean. The staff is amazing. All three ladies were super friendly and gave me some recommendations on what I might like. This is an actual coffee shop, you aren't going to find frappes or enery drinks here. I landed on a dirty chai. Which is just a chai with espresso. It was absolutely perfect and the cold foam on top set it off. Also, they are locally owned. I don't think it gets much better than this.

First time here and the ambience is perfect! It's nice and cozy. The service was great and fast. Both sandwiches were tasty. Personally I think the açaí bowl is way better than Jambas. Will definitely be coming back to try the other items on the menu.

Coffee time :-) What a beautiful space to have coffee, relax, study, or visit with friends. Humam Talhami and I agree it's our favorite! There is plenty of very comfortable seating..... even a beautiful loft upstairs. Two large restrooms. The menu has a variety of healthy foods, breakfast sandwich choices, and my coffee has been delicious every time I've been here. I can't say enough about how friendly the employees are. Always attention to detail in every order. You'll always find a parking space either along the street. They also share a parking lot with the church, so it's great! Yelp Friends, let us know when you're in the area so we can meet up!

Chocolate croissant and iced vanilla latte

Great new coffee shop in Gresham!! The space is so lovely, every corner thoughtfully curated. It is a clean, intentionally designed space that leaves a peaceful feeling. Seems like a great place to spend time in solitude or catch up with a friend! I ordered the chocolate croissant and got it warmed, and it was delicious! Flaky and melty in the right ways. To drink, I got an iced vanilla latte, and it was stand-out satisfying: the right balance of sweet but flavorful taste of the roast. The coffee is sourced from Stoked Coffee Roasters in Hood River, which is fun 'cause that's where I live now! A great space that I will definitely return to!

Pause has a beautiful, relaxing interior filled with plants. The toast had amazing presentation and flavor, as did the latte. The baristas were friendly and helpful! As someone who grew up in the Gresham area, I was so pleased with the way that Pause honored the former Skate World, which was such a cultural hub for the area. I'll definitely be coming back!

Shout out to Pause Coffee Lab!! The baristas there were AMAZING. I stopped by before work for a little self care and asked if they could make "pretty coffee" aka a design on top, something about it just feels really special to me. They were not super confident but said they'd do their best. Honestly even if it was just a scribble I told them it'd be fine, we'd just call it abstract . But they came through big time! I feel super honored and appreciated as a customer that they were even willing to try! Got some BYOT too and it also did not disappoint.

We tried Pause Coffee while visiting family. It has a charming calm atmosphere, with upstair loft study to sit and read/work. Music is inviting. Ian was very friendly and helpful seeing it was our first time in. We had a cold brew, egg, ham and cheddar sandwich, ricotta, prosciutto, arugula and chili jam toast. The food was very fresh and delicious, cold brew and dirty chai were also very tasty. The have many pastry options as well that looked yummy and gluten free options too. I recommend giving them a try. Look like the owners have put their heart into this place. We'll definitely be back to try more new items.

They opened in May of this year and it's great coffee shop addition in the Gresham area. It's connected to a Church. The coffee shop is really nice and modern with plenty of large windows to let in natural light. There is a small loft with additional seating. The employees were super nice and helpful. They recommended a few items and were helpful in explaining what they have since it was our first time here. Love the nice and bright coffee shop. I got the fancy pig toast and bf did a build your own toast. Plenty of pastries also!!

I was so happy to see another local coffee shop opening in Gresham. This place is cool and modern looking and my latte was $3.95, so very reasonably priced. The employees are really friendly and the coffee was great! There is tons of seating and even a small upstairs loft. Definitely a great place to study or get some work done.

Stairs to the loft area. How cute!!

Wow the staff is always so sweet- huge shout out to barista, Melanie! The coffee is great, I highly recommend the eggnog latte and the problem sandwich which I have shared a photo of. The cutest coffee shop in town.

Aside from being a doofus and not noticing the 15 feet of menu on the wall opposite the counter, the place was warm and friendly and had the smell of a place I'd like to eat, (a little warm bread, a touch of cinnamon, and a hint of bacon.) I ordered the Hope's Mess with eggs over easy, a biscuit, and sausage patty and the youngster ordered the Huevos Rancheros. I was told that Hope was now living my wife's ideal life while her partner lived mine. Hope rolled in later and the partner was there first thing so she was not there. We got drinks as well and waited a perfectly reasonable time for our food. Rich, creamy country gravy, perfectly cooked eggs, good coffee. My companion enjoyed his food also, but since it's not my spouse, I didn't feel comfortable stealing a bite to report directly. Always a pleasure to stop in, bring a sticky bun home, and visit with nice people in the community.

They also have a full bar available, if you so desire. I am a regular at this restaurant, but today I ordered off the Specials board and got delectable Oreo Stuffed French toast. It was beautiful, to begin with, but the taste and textures were divine. The toast was crispy, but the filling was very flavorful, and the topping of whipped cream with Oreo crumbs made the whole meal delightful. I ended up taking the bacon and eggs home, since the French Toast was more than enough. Our server was friendly and thorough, despite it being busy. There was some black duct tape holding parts of the booth together, and since the booths aren't anchored to the floor, ours would shift whenever the people behind us moved, which was a little distracting. The food was okay, but nothing really stood out. The scrambled eggs tasted watered down and lacked flavor. The pancakes themselves were good, but they came with quite a bit more butter than necessary. We also ordered the chicken fried steak, which was tasty, though the potatoes that came with it tasted like they may have been from the day before. I might consider coming back to sit at the bar for cocktails or happy hour, but for a full meal I'm not sure I'd rush back. That said, it could have just been an off day -- there was actually a wait for tables as we were leaving, so clearly the place has a following.

We were immediately brought waters and I was able to order a mimosa pretty much immediately which was great. The food portions are enormous which is definitely nice if you can take leftovers home because it is a little pricey. Kiddo and hubby got steak and egg breakfast and said everything was pretty much perfectly cooked; the egg whites on the over medium eggs were just a little runny. Rueben and chicken fried steak both looked good and my mother in law and her boyfriend had no complaints. I had the potato pancake hash-browns pancakes and eggs with bacon and it was delicious. They could have been just a tad crispier on the outside but the flavors were great. A nice little local place for any time of day.
