My new obsession is Haitian food, griot in particular...I don't think I've had it enough to be an expert just yet but I'm working on it. These guys make a good one, not the best I've had but definitely juicy and not overfried. The rice at chef creole was better but I liked the plantains and the pikliz - the coconut shrimp wasn't bad too. Proper enough for a reorder. I need to try more haitian dishes. read more

I would give this a zero if I could. I ordered teh legume and this shit was horrible. The entire food smelled spoiled as if it was left overs that was heated from the prior day. Every time I come here the food is spectacular. My go to is the grilled chicken platter and Diri Djon Djon and can't forget to grab that Mac and cheese! My best friend has been telling me about this food truck for so long, and I finally had a chance to try it. I had the grilled chicken platter since that is a favorite dish there and I can definitely say that was really GOOD. The amount of meat that is within the platter itself definitely surprised me because they give you a lot of meat. I didn't intend to stop here but I was visiting a business nearby and I was attracted to the smell coming from the food truck. I selected the grilled chicken platter and I was not disappointed! For $12, there were several pieces of chicken, fries, plantains ($1 extra) and it comes with ketchup, BBQ sauce, and pikliz (homemade pikliz too, not that store bought stuff). When they first came out, the food was always amazing. But now that they are popular and Paul is no longer on the truck, the food is horrible. The chicken was bloody, I literally could not eat it. Every bite had blood in it. I had to throw it away. The fries were terrible! Bland and unsalted. The price has increased and you get less food! I will never go back to this place! The food here is actually really good. I've had the chicken platter and the griot. The griot isn't the best but the grilled chicken platter is bomb! It comes with a TON of chicken, fried plantains, pieces of fried yam, and a side of pikliz. Now I always judge a Haitian food spot by the quality of their piklíz, and man oh man theirs is good! It's really spicy and has a lot of flavor. They do sell their rice for a bad price point though. I think five dollars is a bit steep personally, when you can get it much cheaper else where and included in your food price. But if you just come for the fritay, it's a really good portion size! The service is ok. I honestly don't expect much but it really depends on who's at the counter. The downside is the wait time though, they don't take call in orders so be prepared to wait depending on what time you go. At least you know it's fresh :) read more

Soooo good. Last night after the Heat game, I spotted there for some grill chicken. I was welcomed by the staff and without asking given sample of their fried chicken wings. They were hot, juicy and WELL seasoned. I was so tempted to order that, but I got an order of their grill chicken platter and fried goat. Both comes with fried plantains and fried potatoes with pikliz and BBQ sauce for chicken on the side. Everything was fresh, hot and juice. I love that I can get a plate of protein that is yummy without having to get sides like rice, Mac and such. It's late... just give me the protein! Highly recommend grabbing a plate. Ordered the Griot (Fried pork like chicharon ) Generous portions that come with fried Plantain & Fried Sweet Potato & a small container of Pikliz (homemade hot vegetable relish) Also ordered a side of of rice. I read the reviews and decided to order from here because I was craving griio and the black rice. I ordered via yelp and got my order. First let's talk old rice it was dry and just yucky. The grio was absolutely disgusting we tasted it and it tasted like dish detergent in the garbage the whole plate went with the exception of the fried sweet potato. I love Paul's food truck! It's the best late night Haitian good place or just one of the best Haitian food. My favorite is the mixed platter. You get half fried chicken and half grilled chicken. This place has the beat bbq I have ever had in my life. It's Haitian owned and I was raised in Haiti. The food there taste exactly like It would in Haiti. The customer service is great, they have a great ambiance b the food truck and sometimes there's music. The meat is properly seasoned and it's grilled to perfection. I was told they have ribs and fry chicken but I only go their for the grilled chicken. It's served with fried plantains and fried Bonitia potatoes with Haitian pikliz (pickled spicy coleslaw). I never get compensated for my time, and this happens every single time I come. It doesn't matter if I call ahead or order in person. It's completely unprofessional and annoying. Very nice people. Serve an absurd amount of food for a very reasonable price. I had pikliz, griot and some fried tubers. (Plantains and maybe boniato?) Everytime I come to Miami, i always get some grilled chicken. It is delicious and well seasoned.

The food was ok but the service was sloooooow. 20+ minutes for a sandwich at 11:45 in the am was twice as long as it should've been. Also they were out of the roast beef which is what we wanted. I suggested they refund our money and when the owner eventually did so, instead of making a customer happy, she chose to be curt and rude.
