You're not going to get it. It's very casual, and I'm sure the hair stylist is not making a ton of money from it. She does it because she really loves it and loves people. She even has a book shelf where people can take a book for a donation which goes to support some hospice. If you want some place where the people are genuine, chatty, and look after you, this is a good salon. It's unisex and no-frills, but you get to know good people in the process.

This Trimmers is located at the heart of Formby in the village and specialises in women's hairdressing. However, this branch also offers men's hairdressing and styling and this is why I visited (I'm not a woman, in case you hadn't guessed already). The shop itself is bright and split in two so that the men and women are divided by a mirrored wall, ensuring that any man who is self-conscious about getting his hair cut in a salon need not question his sexuality as he can just sit there and pretend he isn't in the company of a group of gossipping women. As it turns out, the divide isn't needed as you are made to feel relaxed and comfortable whilst there, helped by the relaxing shampoo treatments on offer by the talented workers there. On the each of the occasions I have been there, I have left happy enough with the finished product (I'm never completely happy with my haircuts, ever) and although the prices can be quite steep depending on the level of stylist you use, its nothing unreasonable when put in comparison with other local hairdressers.

Having heard such brilliant things about the team, I had waited a long time for my appointment and was extremely pleased! Everything about my appointment was fantastic. The salon itself is very stylish and clean, but not pretentious in the slightest. Not being a regular client, I was surprised how much everyone there makes you feel so welcome, from the top stylist to the juniors. I had my appointment with Natalie, who took the time to thoroughly understand what my wants and needs were when it came to my colour and style. There was no rush she took extra time to go through pictures with me until we found the perfect do! I am especially hard to please, I get an image in my head of how I want my hair and I always feel disappointed when it turns out nothing like I asked for.
