There's no damning reason why I don't like this hairdressers, I just didn't like how they did my hair, which I suppose is a good enough reason. I also thought the guy on reception was a little rude when I asked for a price list- real little snarler he was,-but the hair washer and my hairdresser were both lovely and Jonathan is a real character; he's hilarious. My mum loves this place- not to say that this is a mumsy salon,-or that my mum is mumsy, as my sister loves it and she knows good hairdressing and will pay for it too. That's another thing I think it's a little pricey, but you're paying for good stylists; the best products; a gorgeous modern salon and a bloody good natter.

After one too many hair nightmares I came here on recommendation from a friend and I've never looked back. This is a hairdressing studio that truly cares and your hair really will be Fabulous when you leave! Run by Rachel, it's a great little find, hidden in the Static Gallery building, full of bright colours and personality; pink and green drapes (following the watermelon theme here) and bare brick walls give this gem of a studio little personal touches which make you feel at home instantly. It's really cheap for the service you get (I paid £25 for a full re-style) and so relaxed and fun that I can't imagine going anywhere else now. She knows what I want, is awesome at offering advice on styles that will suit me and does a fantastic job. With all the character and friendliness that you just won't find in a chain, if you're in search for a new personal hairdresser, this place is definitely a must.

For example during the week you can get a haircut from a graduate for £10, but this can go up to £34 for a cut from the Director at the weekend. They offer a full range of services from up-do's to extensions and everything in between. The salon is always very busy as it is extremely popular. It can be difficult to get a short notice appointment but its worth waiting a little bit longer to get the quality of service they provide. The staff are super friendly and actually have a proper conversation with you rather than the usual mundane chat about your social life, job and love life. There are many different beauty treatments available. I have yet to try these but they appear to be priced competitively. On offer are facials, maincures, pedicures, massage, body treatments, hair removal, tanning, eye treatments, ear piercing and nail enhancements. There are a great many options available and nothing appears to have been left out. Everyone is always asking me where i get my hair and make up done, and saying how good it looks! Dolly Mix caters for all ages, I've taking my 11 year old niece there on a Princess pamper day, she was thrilled and felt all grown up with her hair,nails and make up done!
