I have been going to this salon for 5 years until one day I met "the manager" after very politley quering the price of my childrens haircut (normally £5 each as they are under 5) I was told "I'm the manager of the salon and if you don't like it then don't come back" I will not be going back as this is a very bad attitude to have towards long standing customers and I actually feel very hurt that he thinks he can talk to customers in such a way. read more

I'm such a shocking customer when it comes to hairdressers and I have really struggled in the past to find somewhere I'm 100% happy with. I found the owner of hair 4 U when I was a little younger ;) He worked for a high street company at the time. I never know what to do with my hair and Will would advise what he thought was best and every time, without fail, he was right! I got comment after comment from friends. Well happy. Then my worst nightmare... He was promoted and moved on to manage more than be in the day to day life of a hairdresser. Aaarrrgggh! In the next 5 years, I tried salon after salon and stuck with a company in chorley that is excellent but I paid an arm and a leg each visit. Then the guy who cut my hair then left (theme going on here :)) so I was on the search again. After hours of trawling the Internet for reviews and recommendations etc... Imagine my delight to find Will... The owner of a new salon opening in Chorley! Woo-hoo! I booked in with him at his new posh place. Very nice decor and lovely staff. Drinks and mags on tap :) After my first visit around three years ago, I've never been anywhere else and never will as long as this company is going. I'm back to getting comments of friends and collegues again on how good my hair looks. Very very happy with the service from all staff and the friendly atmosphere at both chorley and leyland salons. I cannot rate this salon highly enough. I had been to alot of hair salons in chorley before this opened and i never found anywhere i was happy with. All the staff are friendly and caring and show a genuine interest in you. They are often busy at weekends and booking in advance is advised but not nessecery. The offer cutting, colouring and styling for men women children aswell as stocking a variety of salon products at reasonible prices. They provide upto date reading material while you wait for your colour to take and provide tea and coffee, i have also been offered wine during the festive period. The stylist are knowlegable and experienced and have won many awards. I always leave feeling relaxed and transformed. read more

I have been going to Hair 4 U since it opened and can honestly say I have been more than happy with the service. All the staff are friendly, experienced and very professional, I have been to both the Chorley and Leyland salons, you are made to feel welcome and comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are always on offer as soon as you arrive. Both salons are clean, tidy and equipped to the highest spec and play some fantastic music! I always come away more than happy with my cut/colour/treatment and advice they offer and often buy some of the excellent range of products they stock and always having had a good chat and a laugh, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Will and his team, give them a try - you won't be sorry! read more

Sorry but I would strongly disagree with Chorley2009 as I have been a customer of the Chorley branch for the last 4 years and would highly recommend this group of Salons to anyone. The staff are all very friendly, happy and helpful and as loyal to the customers as to the company. Always greeted in a friendly way and have time for their customers no matter how busy they may be. You are alway made to feel relaxed and important with refreshments, magazines and their concerning ways of care and attention. Having to pre book your appointment tells you their popularity and expertise but they still can find time to squeeze you in at short notice if needed without dropping any of their standards and give you the same professional service. I recently visited the Leyland branch Hair 4 U2 and received the same Professional Service there as I have experienced from Chorley Please feel free to mail me if you want further recommendations and experiences but trust me you will not be disappointed by using this group of Salons in Chorley & leyland. read more
